OMG, Majestic. Piccioli has the bar WAY the Fuck up there, and can any other designer dare reach it! This collection shows that EXTREME creativity, imagination, design knowledge went into it! And those models had to WORK for their pay; because, that cat walk is the longest, I have ever seen! I didn't think they would have to come out the second time. This is the most enjoyable, fashion show, I have ever seen, except for Michael Kors NewYork that he did last year; it was hot AF! I think this is the best collection of Fall/Winter 2023/2024 that I have seen so far!!
Is the location Fountainbleau? Spectacular show. Very well done. Beautiful designs. Lovely color combinations. I love how the wind moves the fabric so the fabric trails behind or to the side of the models as they walk. The fabric seems to caress their bodies. It just flows so well.

the setting is a dream and a nightmare, the girls wore flats and not even that help them! the show had no rythm, the guys were almost stepping on the girls' trains and the wind was throwing hair, headpieces, earrings, coats and dresses all around...and the clothes were good but this ready to wear couture vibe eliminates the fantasy/dream aspect of a true Couture show, Valentino is feeling tired as of lately and I personally think they need a shift in direction, the craftmanship remains delicious and exquisite but the design direction is a bit lazy
I kinda miss that over the top Valentino style Pierpaolo was delivering. It seems they're trying to reduce the cost of production...if that makes sense? lmao
I personally think that Pierpaolo himself was bored of the over the top, which he can do in his sleep, but wants to deliver that dream, but how can he do it more subtly? In his words "It’s all about concealing the effort that achieving simplicity requires." Valentino couture since it's namesake designer was there was alway woman centric. Making the woman beautifully dressed, and having her beauty shine. And that's what Pierpaolo is continuing. Valentino Couture was never about pyrotechnics and unnecessary complexity for theatrical sake. it was about drop-dead gorgeous clothes. For me personally when watching any couture show, I'm more awestruck by the fact that these garments are created entirely by a persons hand; no sewing machine. Embroidery, crafting those tulips, burning the edges of feathers to achieve lightness, which apparently is virtually impossible, all by hand. Couture shows the world what humans are capable of, and that's just damn cool and beautiful. Which, to me, is what this collection represents - something cool yet absolutely gorgeous.
Why do they all look like they're wearing floppy bunny slippers? The look is clunky and clumsy. Lovely setting. Many very nice designs! Some, ill-fitting or simply nope.

WHAT WAS THE VISION? What was the theme, the direction, did they have one? Jesus, the clothes, the whole line suffers.
