One of the things I like best about your channel is that no matter what one’s budget or style, good advice abounds. Thank you Nina - Hope you’re enjoying the holiday season❤❤.
Hi Nina! Love these solutions! Long and narrow room, but the only window is where you say we should put the bed. The only place we can position it is the long wall we face as we enter the room. What should we do?
I also have this type of bedroom. My bedroom is long and narrow. The longest wall, which is opposite the entrance door has a window almost in the middle, so the bed would block the only window in the bedroom. Not sure where to put my furniture in the room.
i have a 12 x 14 ft bedroom with a pario slider on one side. im redoing my bedroom layout. my biggest challenge is trying to fit my peloton in my room too. oh boy! i think im going to have to squeeze it on the side of my bed.
My longest wall has a mini split unit right in the middle of the wall 😢. How the only other wall I have to place a bed has a window. What do you suggest?
Great video! I think my problem bedroom is one for the books. My bedroom is upstairs basically an attic. My younger daughter's room is attached (Jack & Jill rooms). My bed takes up most of the room along with a dresser set. I have a small slanted alcove which currently stores one of those Container Stores drawer organizers for sheets! I also have a tension rod next to it (up against my bed) with my daughter's long sleeve shirts/dresses because she doesn't have a closet. I want to downgrade my 8 drawer dresser to make the room look bigger but I don't want to sacrifice storage. My closet is very small. The only other storage is my husband's tall dresser and a night stand that is used to hold a television. Any ideas?
I was hoping one of the bedroom design dilemmas was for an angled room. Oh well! My house was designed as a passive solar design which angled almost every room in my house.
@ I agree. passive solar is really very useful. Sliding Glass Windows in every room except bathroom and hallway. The many angle’s throughout the house/home bring with it challenges in regard to furniture placement and wasted areas ie angled corners. Almost, if not octagonal roof/ceiling pitches creating high and low roof and ceilings. Almost if not a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired flare. Single story with semi flat roof.
I have a queen-size 4 poster wood canopy bed, which includes a wooden headboard and wood canopy. It's a bed we want to keep as it is an eye-catching piece and quite costly. I have windows on two walls. My third wall has 2 doors. The 4th wall has the entry door that is split by 1 alcove that is about 2 feet deep. What a qunumdrum. I placed the bed in the forbidden corner between the 2 windowed walls. After watching your video, I realized that I should move my very heavy bed onto the wall that juts out the 2 feet. However the position of the bed would cover 1/2 of the alcove. The bed isn't too bed for the room as the walk-in closet has room for 2 dressers. What do think I should do? Move my bed to the alcoved wall? This means the bed will cover part of the alcove. We bought the bed from its prior owners as they couldn't get it up the stairs in their new home. We lived in a different house that accommodated the bed perfectly. Our new home doesn't. Help, please. 😊

Any suggestions for when the ceiling is vaulted? Does the bed need to be centered with the vault?

Largest wall is directly opposite the bedroom door, only other wall has the ONLY window in the bedroom. What should I do?
