- Motorstorm Apocalypse is another case of an inovative and downright cool arcade racing game that bombed terribly sales wise, but now with the extra benefit of being exclusive to PS3, which only hurt its popularity in the long run. I think you can notice a trend here along with Blur and Split/Second, all games releasing roughly during the same time frame, and all 3 racing games being the last bastions of truly great arcade racers, excluding NFS and maybe the Forza Horizon games, since developing these kind of games from the perspective of big game publishers/companies would be the equivalent of financial suicide.
Welp, I never played Motorstorm Apocalypse (or the other Motorstorm games) up until recently, so I'm genuinely excited to play them for the first time and so far, they hold up really well.
So naturally, I had to do one of these music swaps with it using Metal Gear Rising Revengeance music because of course I would.
Track played here is "Aces High" with the Patriot P10-XR supercar.

Motorstorm Apocalypse was such a great racing game. It is a great shame that the server support died somewhere in 2016, otherwise me and my friends would still have fun speeding past tornadoes and jumping over the splitting earth

I have this game. It's chaotic and really fun. Unfortunately what turns me off from it is that you can't unlock any cars unless you play online.

Man I know that feeling of just sitting on the edge of the boost, and wondering when you're gonna blow the hell up! I absolutely love this game, but I will always mildly hate Evolution Studios, for making everything online unlockable only.
You should do this with some of noisecream songs, specially with the songs he created for midnight fight express

i knew that any crazy song with motorstorm apocalypse could be a good combo of excitement and madness. Nice video but just a shame you can't get the other cars and modifications without online unless you can use someone's used save with everything in the game.
I think I might just use a complete save file if I can find one to get all the cars

I was trying to get my hands on the original motorstorm because that's the one i played all those years ago but after seeing the level of carnage in this game, i think i may have found a substitute.
Another reason the sales bombed bad to this gem of a racing game was due in part to the Japan Earthquake. It's similar subject matter lead to the game being cancelled in Japan driving the final nail into the coffin
What sucks about this too (or at least from some comments I have read) is that the folks over there still wanted to play the game, but ultimately they had to resort to playing the imported version/s due to evolution's decision to which I can understand easily, the timing is just extremely unfortunate.
Out of all the racing games I’ve played, this, Blur, and Split/Second have got to be my favorites. I wished I played TDU2 tho.

Question: I noticed that your Boost meter wasn’t cooling off very quickly while in the air. Are you holding down the Gas/Accelerate button? If so, then I strongly recommend you let go of it while jumping; Your Boost will cool down the whole way almost instantly.
Yeah, I was holding the gas during jumps. Noticed it cools faster if I let go after the video

I appreciate the suggestions but it takes time to play a certain racing game I'm not familiar with (like even here with Motorsport Apocalypse) and I usually wanna come with my own ideas for what music to use.

If you showed this to a casual and told them it was a PS5 game they wouldn't question it. So many PS3 games would have such an easy time finding a new audience today that it's frankly frustrating that Sony is just leaving billions on the table from unrealized potential

Oh my god i forgot how much graphics in this game rocked like destructible environments like buildings falling and the game is lile all chaotic with the crazy weather in the game how is it that this game has better graphics and environments than most video games nowadays like forspoken god that game looks awful
