It aint light...I have howa elevate and that is 8+lb with much lighter scope (365g), same base, rings, ckye-pod and strap. So add 2.3lb for XRS diffeence to 600g elevate stock...add arca weight, add 600g for scope.... thats gotta be 13Lb.... lightweight hunting rifle has to be under 9lb. Piet can be a real dickhead some times!
Piet, Read This... Neck 300PRC up to .416 RM like but able to shoot 350 grain to 400grain bullets from a 22inch barrel with twist rate that makes pew stable. DGCartridge call it PietSkiet
love the howa action after about 200 rounds, everything smoothed out. the balance is very good with a carbon barrel as well, right around the magwell area.
Love it, as always, Piet !! The only thing I’d change would be to paint the MDT XRS section black, and do the same with the cheek riser …. Just for the contrast.
@IMPACT SHOOTING Is this series going to continue? I just recently put together a Howa 24"6.5CM varmint barreled action in an XRS chassis, with a Talley 20 MOA rail sporting Vortex Precision rings and an Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56mm MIL scope. I didn't even realize you had this series, even though I watch this channel all the time! I'd love to see the things you did to improve the Howa.
If there was a series of these that I could put in a night instead of my wife's forensic files, that would be the greatest bedtime stories to fall asleep to
Hi Pieter, thanks for the great informative videos. If it weren't for your videos id still be shooting with my McMillan stock which feels like shooting a 2x4. I broke down and purchased the MDT ESS Chassis. Best thing i has ever bought for my rifle. Rem mod.700 7mmrem mag. Can you in the future, maybe make a video on shooting mats with your recommendations? Im just beginning my long range journey and a shooting mat is next on my list as part of my shooting gear i need to purchase. I really don't have a clue what to look for. Thanks again for the great videos. If i could send you a couple pictures on here of my rifle i would. I think you would love how she shoots. Recoils as much as a .243. Sincerely, Andrew Thatcher
Now this video was just relaxing to watch. The music, the lighting, the editing; pure masterclass.👌
Really enjoyed it, Piet.
Including the final weight would be helpful, for people looking at a similar build.

I’m hoping youtube keeps this up, they hate when your show putting something on the end of your barrel 😂😂

What was the total weight of this build, want to know as the standard howa varmints in the XRS are on the heavy side!
Would definitely like to hear what you do to improve the bolt/trigger on a stock Howa. Looking at getting my first Howa.
Coming soon!🔜
WELL DONE!!

I see you don't really use thread locker on any of the screws?
NICE rig! 👍 What brand one-piece scope rail?
Hey, what extender are you using to torque XRS and barrel? Is it part of fix it or something else?
Piet, of the topic, do you leave your gun accessories on when you do load development, like the silencer and muzzlebreak or do you take it off?
Presies wat ek en my pa gister oor gepraat het! Keep it up!
I was wondering if you were going to put the correct grip on.
so how much did it cost and what is the final weight with optics and all?
If there was a series of these that I could put in a night instead of my wife's forensic files, that would be the greatest bedtime stories to fall asleep to
What is the overall length of this build?
Mooier as meeste mense se trou video
Can we please get an update/review on this!
Video is already scheduled for next month. Available now to all channel members and patreons
So awesome
How much did it weigh
What was the oal weight and length bro???
What chassis would you recommend for a dedicated 6.5 Creedmoor bench rifle for anything out to 1000m?
Dis soos poetry! Pragtige video. Groete uit Brisbane
What barrel manufacturer?
Very Nice rifle, Although I wouldn't say crafting as much as assembling. Carbon Barrel always looks cool.
Finally caught a premier! TIMBR vs XRS vs Field? 😢
Beautiful like all of your builds😎. I would like to see that your carbonfiber stock on that Howa🙏🏻
What is the total weight?
Very nice.
Piet,
Is this a howa 1500 short action. SA?
Or a long action. LA?
Thanks in advance?
Lari.
6.5Creed Howa = SA 🔫👍🏼
Gorgeous Kermit on your wrist

Do a video on your watch. Why did you choose the submariner Starbucks? Great video
Was missing from the collection 🥰
As always - a great video. Sometimes its just better not having too much talking in a video
Glad you enjoyed it
That was Sexy. Can't wait to see it in action. Rock on Piet 🤘😎
When will we see 7PRC Howa B/A in SA?
Howa hasn't announced a 7PRC yet as far as I know?
I hope they do. They were quick to offer the other PRCs.
Seriously need to get my license asap. Can't wait to start my build especially fitting my newly purchased Warbird 🫡
S U P E R B A S M R!! What was final weight of build? TIA
