It's been 16 years and NFS Most Wanted is still top on the charts. Incredible.
It’s a shame the franchise can no longer top this level of commercial success and acclaim that it once achieved. It’s sad that Ea decided to close Black Box and the future of the series has been a rocky road. I still find myself coming back to play the classics from my childhood because all newer games in the franchise aren’t as fun or entertaining as the old games in the series.
The best arcade physics until today. No tap to drift, you need to sweat to beat the police and the blacklists. Heat had everything to be as good as the trilogy underground-mw-carbon, but the story is too short and it's too online-focused
Yea the level of excitement, adrenaline, tension and satisfaction this game provided is still unmatched.

@@VannNightcore Ngl, I remember trying to pirate the normal version (I was curious, I know now there's no reason to get it over Black Edition) and I still ended up with Black Edition.

@@fegato9653 Back In The Day, When games are truly fun and Not To Much Weirder.
The only thing that sucks about this game is the AI rubberbanding. Even on the same race, you can get either easy or hard win depends on merely random chance. Otherwise, this is always one of the most memorable games I played all the time
The rubberbanding in Underground was way worse. You can tell that rubberbanding is a necessary evil when you see how slow the AI is when it is turned off. This is true for just about every racing game. Programming an AI to drive a fast line is difficult, especially when you add randomized traffic patterns. On one test I did, the difference was 30 mph top speed with rubberbanding on.
it was pretty bad but tolerable, then again i never did circuit races to fill requirements because of it. that being said, underground 1? FUCK that it had the worst rubberbanding in existence, u2 not so much and u3 pretty much none but u1 jesus fucking christ
Having them be absurdly fast is better than them doing the speed limit during a hard difficulty race (like in 2015, Heat, Payback)
This one represents the alternative culture of the mid 00 so damn well, from the aesthetics to the music.
Some of the best songs they used came from other games EA own too. Like "I Am Rock" from NFL Street 2 and "Hand of Blood" from Burnout Revenge
I remember back in 2005 I was excited about the new NFS and my Dad picked it up for me and gave it to me one Friday after school. Not only was it the new NFS, he got me the Black Edition! Never really explored the additional features of it but always thought it was cool to have!
It’s insane that till this day this game still remains a legendary true enthusiast racing game, I have it on my pc and still play it and will never get bored of it EVER, something many newer racing games don’t have
all u need todo in this game is hold down the accelerator button no idea why people like it so much

This game was one of the biggest elements that shaped my childhood and all the coming years. It's not just a game to me, it's a piece of memory from a very special time of my life. I'm lucky to have experienced it.
I have Black Edition of Need for Speed Most Wanted and I enjoyed it a lot. The Camaro in my opinion is so much fun to drive and on the career mode, Ive obtained all the pink slips of the Blacklist racers, plus added in a few others like Ronnie's Supra, Mia's RX-8 and Rog's Mustang and GTO. Ive tried to re-create Razor's Mustang but wish I had the livery for it.
This really is the best racing car game they ever made . The blacklist . Cross . Razor . Soundtrack was cool . Story was cool . I love the ending and I love that m3 .
The projects to make this games, is similar to making a Hollywood movie. That's the reason why this game stand out much than other NFS games, even though the graphics is already decades old, but the seriousness and determination behind this art, make it legends among the series.
NFS Most wanted and Midnight Club Dub edition are the golden era of underground racing games.
This game completely has a rule in my life, the car culture itself but what I feel the most is the enveriomnent of the game, everyday I remember this game, during night in some Streets, in car Parks, garages, industrial áreas, old closed factories, this game as an incredible enviromnent combined with the amazing soundtrack (actually use Bside wins again, has a ringtone of my Phone sooo) this game is Just a legend
He's right unfortunately you can't access all of the bonus cars unless you have a trainer to use them in free roam.
after 11 of playing nfsmw, i didnt even realized the regular edition arent the same as the black edition because thats the only game version i played and ive never played the regular one
Event 70 was the hardest event ever. Get the bounty is easy but escaping SUVs was not easy
nah, I had more trouble with the minivan challenge than with 70's.
Black Edition is fun I recently started playing it on my PC. Played it for hours without boredom, I gotta figure out how to drift on there
@@ankurparihar you gotta pirate it online, should be youtube videos up detailing how to do it
This was the first game I played on my Playstation 2. Those were the days :’)
What I’d give to rewind time to that day all those years ago.
Later on, the Carbon's collector edition allows you to unlock Jaguar XKR and Nissan 240SX from the challenge series, unlike MW's black edition, the two cars can actually be played in the main campaign
Yeah, and because of that Carbon CE is better than mw black edition in my opinion
@@fueledwithboost arent there some gifts for returning players from Underground series to MW/Carbon? I remember there was a messeage if it detects a save file of older game....
@@fueledwithboost Im sure but I dont remember clearly what do you get exactly, if you had Underground 2 and you install Most Wanted, you get some greeting messeage and what not, might as well some "bonuses" because it detects a save file of previous NFS game and I think it happens to multiple games (maybe even from Hot Pursuit 2 to Underground etc. I know installers (example updates/patches) can detect where your game is installed, but maybe it worked only if you install both base games on the same partitions (same default folders), not sure......
@@samfkt One thing you get in MW is some money at the start so you can buy the more expensive car (dunno which one it was) i think you geht like 1,5k or something
Electronic Arts truly wasted the potential of nfs franchise by shutting down black box, who made the NFS games that we still play and remember
When I wanted to buy the NFS Most Wanted, the Black Edition was the only one left as it was significatly pricier than the other ones, so the other ones were sold out.
Imagine just how godly MW would have been if it had another year of development 😮
i dont think development time equals quality, look at the cyberprank 2077
@@divinehatred6021
I am not sure that I quite follow what you mean.
Could you elaborate further on that?
@@MrGermandeutsch A lot of games that had really long development time were bad/broken/disgusting/unreasonably empty, most wanted was a good game that got everything right, even catchup mechanics were not broken.
@@divinehatred6021
Seems like you edited your message since the last time I read it. But I do understand your argument when it came to Cyberpunk.
I myself actually think that these games hadn't had enough time to develop, usually caused by far too expensive goals.
I mean, I'm about to give a shitty example here, but simply imagine the difference between cooking something for 5 seconds and cooking something for 15 minutes.
It's obvious that the 15-minute craft is in better quality than the one done in just 5 seconds. But then you'd also have to consider what you're cooking, because the more complex it gets, the more time it needs to be finished. Being too quick may ruin it, so patience is required here.
Yet, from what I've seen and heard over the years, it seems that the developers are being pushed to release something *_regardless_* of whether it is finished or not, whether it's because of too many delays, lack of resources or the development itself already being too expensive to afford any further.
I admit that I have no experience nor knowledge about how development actually works, but this is a pattern I have noticed over the past decade, and it seems that these incidents only incremented over the past few years.
But maybe I could be wrong! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@MrGermandeutsch He's talking about Cyberpunk being in development hell for early 12 years. If you look at the original build of the game it was originally a RPG similar to Mass Effect or KotoR. Game went through huge changes throughout its development cycle.
Going through different developers and people out right leaving. So the original version got modified to hell and back and since they rather rush out a product to appease investors and gamers it was released horribly. It ruined the company reputation as a whole.
Not a lot of people would agree with this. But I honestly think it tarnished their company with that game. Even Phantom Liberty which came out years later cant salvage that horrid game and since I never bought the game at launch I will never buy another game from them until years later when it's on clearance.
Man I realized that I've been playing the black edition until now 🤣🤣
Прошло 17 лет, Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Great video man, If you don't mind one tiny tip: Lower the background music a bit so we can hear you a bit better :)
This game made my childhood ❤
Straight to the point and Straight forward video 👍
You can unlock the 70th Challenge series event even in the region edition by typing in ‘burgerking’ at the loading screen where you will be asked to press enter to continue.
The burger king event is a completely seperate event thats a race in the m3 gtr whereas the black edition challenge 70 have you drive the slow ass camaro while having lots of rhino suv chasing u(which u can destroy them near the stadium and just go to the cooldown spot)
Oh man... the nostalgia hits like a truck..
The most fascinating nfs story
Also gameplay...
Even today i played it
For a game I played religously as a child (and still love to this day) I JUST NOW found out about this version
“so hackers can compete for the world record” 😂
You can get every single car in free roam via save file editing.... wich isn't hard to do after you've done it once
The "Street M3 GTR" is NOT the "same" as the one you get from beating razor... the stats are more similar to the M3 you drive in the prologue
Other then that... Great video :D
The more views this game gets the longer it remains alive !
Remember when I first played this game, I had black edition and I completed the hardest challenge before I finished the story. So, in the final mission, where you have to wait for the voice on the phone to tell you to jump over the bridge, istead of just circling on the highway, I tried to take out a few cop cars and hide, and didn't understand why they always found me even undercover, and why does this level of difficulty seem harder than a higher one I have already completed in a challenge
I remember coming to my friend that had black edition and we played that x7 heat level challenge all the time
back when EA was not a cash grab
oh man the memories, me and my brother competing on who got fastest lap times, speedran career faster, lasted the longest in chases. nfs mw was my first ever pc game. it was, is and will remain one of the greatest and my personal favorite racing game.
edit: simping over mia was also a big part of my childhod hehe
edit 2: i just realised i had the black edition all along, i love my dad
They don't make em like this no more 😶
I had no clue the cutscenes were green screened and the people were actual……. Makes sense for a 2005 game and especially since technology wouldn’t have allowed for that back then.
I had this black version on my PS2 and it was wonderful, plus it had Demo versions of 007-Love from Russia, Fifa and 2 other games I don't remember 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I still visit college events to play Nfs most wanted. What a masterpiece and songs 😊
i literally playing on my potato pc...i thought my pc cant run game like this...really nostalgia playing this game
The real annoying part is I had the black edition and the save files weren’t compatible with the regular edition because of the possible different cars and liveries I guess?
Nfs:mw 2005 is like one of the best if not THE best nfs game to ever exist.
its not p2w, has a very good story mode, and just pure grind to get the best and fastest cars
the songs... I remember being 10, putting time in the garage customizing my car till 3am
i never knew i was using black edition until i saw this
I have a pirated black edition, and I didn’t even know there was anything unique about it besides the Black Edition challenge
I always thought the M3 GTR Street was a cut car
Didn’t know you could drive it in the Black edition
This game is a certified hood classic. Thanks for the video, man.

Those songs... Nostalgic moment
Challenge 70 the most difficult challenge in challenge series according to developers but i completed that challenge in just 1 minute and 30 seconds..
Yeah this challenge was a joke, but 1 min 30 sec is still pretty impressive, good job
This will always be my fave racing game even though the graphics are bad by tday's standards I will love it all the same.

I have a black edition copy for the ps2 with the bonus dvd and also carbon CE with the dvd. I'm keeping those forever
Wish I could buy EA just to remastered this golden gem
i have the black edition alongside the exclusive behind the scenes dvd too
nice video keep it up
in the Black edition, it has an exclusive vinyl in the trophy section that can be used in career mode
I used to have a chance to get the black edition but i didn't get it because i didn't think back then the game would be that much different and, as a kid, i wanted another game lol

Hands down the best NFS in the series to date. Wish they would remaster, hell take the formula that made this one successful and reapply it today on a modern engine. From the gameplay to the soundtrack, this one was firing on all cylinders. EA needs to get their stuff together. The last half descent one was Payback.
Good old days
I still have my PC Black Edition, will bring it out and play it occasionally to this day.
I was wondering where that faint childhood memory of a bonus cars section was. I guess one of my friends owned the black edition lol
The Gameplay is Simple... we just Race, Escape from Cops, and Race again but the Opponent is a Boss Blacklist (Sometimes the Opponent is also Difficult) in Career Mode. That's why, Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 one of my Favorite Need For Speed 👏
In Indonesia 🇮🇩, this is one of the Best Racing Game 👏
So, the only difference is in freaking cars, that is not even available in main game but only in fast race mode?? Man, what a waste of potential. I mean, they could make those cars available in main game, add more features, such as extended car upgrades and stuff, and add some kind of new ability. Like, the ability to play as a cop for example, driving around and taking down some racers. And i always wonder, what is the difference between standart and black edition. Now i know.
The legend never dies, so is this game.
One of my favorites I miss this damn game 🔥
So im now knowing i played the black edition thinking its the regular dang i remember i had millions on this game i say this is the best nfs based on physics

NFS Most Wanted is a legend. That's why we still talk about it like it was released yesterday
Idk why i stilllll love it
For me it's like the GTA San Andreas of racing games... Like everyone has it, and there's still an active community to this day. Both of them are absolute PS2 classics.
