THANK YOU! This trick was awesome after trying so many other suggestions to get sticky residue off my classroom reading table! Thank you very much for posting this tip!
THANK YOU!! I had a jolly rancher that melted on my oak table, and left a sticky residue. I was nervous about using hand sanitizer on my table. But, tried it anyway and I’m so happy this method worked perfectly.
Wow it worked like charm! I wish i could share photo of how clean the table became! Thanks a million! I got new table 😂without need to throw it for the reisdues were all over
For glass and metal I use oil. Any oil will work. The cheaper, the better. And then dish washing soap after I wiped the oil away. I'm thinking the oil might be a safer alternative for a desk with varnish too? I'm however looking for a solution for wood without varnish. In preparation for painting.
I ordered a new white showcase it had numbered stivkers everywhere. I tried to clean the glue residue with viniger, alcoholic Desinfektion which has the consistency of water. Ill try the gel now after seeing your video. Hope it works 😊
Good luck! This method has been known to be a little on the strong side and with little risk of ruining the finish of the furniture. Use a little at a time, test, and keep testing.
@@coachcashmoney Thanks. For plan B I just bought WD 40 😂😂😂. I tried the gel hand sanitizer. Didn't work, the adhesive from the sticker was very adamant. With WD-40 it went immediately. Didn't even have to wait😊
This works perfectly! I was trying out different ways weeks ago, but this worked best! Just leave the residue for a few days or weeks (if you wish), and then pour sanitizer all over the surface. Quickly scrub off the table with a card or strong plastic ruler. Then, spray some surface cleaner on the table and clean off the table with a dry cloth, until it's completely dry.
I'm gonna try this on my old guitar. Over the years I've taped programs of songs to the back of my guitar so I could see the order of songs we're playing. I rip it off and replace it with another. Well, now, i've got some tape residue on the back of the guitar. We'll see.
People who dont have hand sanitizer use nail polish remover because it works soooooooo good and Im so happy I tried it because now I know what to do when I get it

I'm so glad it did. This method is not 100% but I find it the most practical and the best for classroom desks.
I'm super excited to try this. Thanks for sharing!
Let me know!

THANK YOU. I got my guitar used and it had a big ignore sticker mark on it from the adhesive, never could take it off till now
Wow, and I'm a guitar collector so I guess I should use this method on my guitars as well!
It does work. Thank you. I used glass cleaner too. For darker stains. 😊
@@AlexMorgan-ov8so Perfect! I’m glad. Someone in the comments did suggest glass cleaner.
Wow! Glad to know and I’m happy to help!
This was great! I tried alcohol but the hand cleaner makes it stay on long enough then scraping gets it off.
Dude thank u so much
This helps me a lot at cleaning some sticky residue on the floor !
Cool! I'm always glad to help.
Thank you!!! It’s worked so easily ❤ 100% brand new desk and drawers 🙌🏼
Glad this old video is still helping people out!

Seems like a scraper and sandpaper would suffice.

Omg this hack works like magic on our fridge hahaha- thanks for this
Thank you . This worked I had a tape stain on my vanity for the longest. And been trna get it off .

Thanks for your suggestion. This help me remove glue stains from my antique tables.
Oh wow. I'm glad. It should be a safe way. I hope it didn't take off some of the finish on the furniture.

Glad it worked! I guess the sanitizer is just the right amount of cleaning power you need.

@@bltefft there needs to be a good amount of coating or lacquer on the guitar otherwise it will strip the paint. Is it an acoustic guitar?
Thank you!
Thanks for this tip, it works perfectly! 👍🏻
Great to hear!
Wow this helped me soo much
Thank you for this easy way 🙏🏻
I'm making another video on this topic using baking soda and vegetable oil. It might be stronger for the more stubborn tacky residue!
Omggg ty i had sticker residue on my phoneeee tyyyyy❤❤❤
@@Ev33_0n_pawzzz I’m so glad it helped!
It worked, thank you 🙏
Oh wow. So good to hear. It's perfect for most situations.
Thank you for sharing this video!! 🙂
Awesome!
Brilliant! Thank you...
Glad you liked it! No problem.
Can this work on hardwood floors?
I believe so, I don't see why not.
Very nice solution.
Hope it was easy and convenient for you.
Thanks so much earned a new sub!
That is so cool that this old video helped you!
People who dont have hand sanitizer use nail polish remover because it works soooooooo good and Im so happy I tried it because now I know what to do when I get it
What if the surface is upside down?
@@KenLohwh I would try putting on eye protection and use a spray bottle to get the sanitizer on the surface.
Warning this may remove the varnish. It did for me
Thanks for the feedback. On tougher jobs I needed something stronger like isopropyl alcohol, and it definitely took off some paint!
I am going to try this tomorrow at my guitar hope it works perfectly. I am watching it at 2 am lol 🤣🤣
I heard from other comments on this post that it does work well on guitars!
Thank you so much bro your the best guests were coming over and I didn't know how to remove the sticky stain thank you so much dude
Awesome. Who did you have over?
worked great , thank you.
It worked . Thank you.
Great tip!!!!
thanks mate
No problem! It's still the best method today that I like.
Thank you very much! May Allah bless you with all the best of both worlds.
Thanks for stopping by my channel!
I use white spirit it always works
Thank you for the video. Too bad I can't let alcohol "sit" on camera equipment. Just have to rub rub rub 😂
Thanks
Hope it works! Try a test spot first.
Hand sanitizer also cleans permanent marker pretty well
Thanks for the tip!
Windex/glass cleaner works too just let it sit for 30 seconds and scrape
worked but turned my table white. all the spots are now white on my table
ima try this on my stained desk hopefully it doesn't take off the shine
I doubt it would take off the shine. Let me know how it went. Thanks for stopping by my channel!
Does it work on mfc tables? Like melamine faced chipboards
I would need to test it. I can see if I can get back to you on this. It might take some time.
@@coachcashmoney the carpenter used tarpin oil and my table is good now.
ITS WORKS TY SO MOST CH
I'm so glad! How exactly did you use this tutorial? I mean what did you use it on?
It worked for me! Thanks
I'm glad it did! What did you use for a scraper, just curious?
I tried that last night and it stained my wooden floors.
I have white spots where I put the alcohol.
Bad Advice 😔
Sorry to hear. I had the same thing happen to me on my bar stool.
Will like after try
Wow works !!!
WD 40 works better but it's a waste to use for stickers.
I hope it wont messup my turkish walnut wood of my gun
I hope it went well!
@@coachcashmoney no sir, didnt had enough balls to scrape it ... I rubbed it with my finger enough times to make it come off with heat and friction 😅
Thank you!
