- In this video I will be turning a 20mm anti aircraft cannon shell into a wearable ring. I used the same process that is used in turning coins into rings.

This is the remastered version of a video I posted over three years ago. This was a fun project but the original video wasn’t very well done. I thought it deserved a redo. I hope you all enjoy it! Have a great weekend!!
This video was really well done! I appreciate you making a remastered version
Thanks again....
Shoe🇺🇸
i really like that project tooo and the original video made me subscribe to you back then. Hope to see more unusuall things like jewelery in the future!
Well done!👍
Very nice job.👍 ✌♥️🇬🇧
I like how I didn’t have to watch 25 mins worth of filler content to see something go from a bullet shell to a ring. Nicely done.
Probably his wallet don't like it
@@CyniuxD my channel isn’t monetized but i assume if people can make money on shorts they can make money on 5 min videos
@@EazzyBeezieou could make a lot more money with multiple ads by having the filler. If it’s their job they gotta make a living somehow.
How to make finger guns 100% cooler:
God damn, you’re absolutely right
I'm going to take this idea and turn it into a D&D artifact lol.
Ring of Explosions: an artifact from another world depicting strange glyphs around the edge. When worn, any explosions caused by the wearer, either directly or not, is multiplied by 1d4+1. The multiplier affects both the blast damage and radius, and all explosions now sound like a gods thunderous voice simply yelling "BOOM"
NOBODY better tell me this already exists, I'm homebrewing right now! 😂
I need this in my next campaign!
Mind if I borrow as well?
I am 100% using this in my first campaign.
Really nice work! I’m amazed it does not distort the lettering when forming it from a disc to a ring!
Loved learning how you got the lettering to sit around the ring.
So fascinating! I always wondered how rings were made from coins, etc. and now I know. As usual, well done!
You have some criminally underrated content - well done
Nice ring. I've always wanted one out of a 50 cal. Never could find one. Thanks for making this video again. We'll worth it.
50 cal might not be big enough.
@@anzaca1yeah you would need to cut it and add another piece of in the gap
My son would love this! He loves military history. He is a sophomore in college studying History.
I didn't know ring stretchers existed (at least, not in that format). I've seen the solid type you use with a hammer, but not the taper fit ones. That's a really neat tool to have in a shop. Could be useful for more than just rings.
That is honestly the coolest ring I've ever seen. Would love to have one like this.
I will have to find some of these rounds and make rings for my fellow Marines.
I did not expect to be so impressed. Very cool.
Can brass be gold plated? That would be perfect to keep the shine.
Next time maybe put your mark or inscription on the inside of the ring? Amazing work and nice wave to the camera in the ballberring reflection!
I really like the final peace. Thanks for sharing.
There is an entire market out there that would buy these rings. I don't know how long it takes you but if you have the time it is another way to make money!
Rest of the casing could be turned into a set of rings as well, plain brass, to go with the cap ring as a matched set. The other rings on a chain necklace.
I learned a lot from this video! I had no idea that is how rings are made.
Very Cool Ring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That ring stretcher blew my mind
Cool ring well done
This channel is so high quality for its small subscriber base, you deserve more subs
wow you are talented keep it up this was amazing you are so creative.
Very Cool !
One of those casings would make an excellent 18650 (18500/18350) Tube Mod. for Vaping.... Prolly Sell'em for a couple hundred or so.... maybe more?
Nice ring and video.
For someone that deals with alot of metal and heat. Your hands looks really soft.
nice build

A short video but a welcome one at that
Well done - looks great!
Nicely Done Robin! Great video as always
That's awesome, I was a 50 cal. machine gunner in the Marines.
This was awesome!
0:09 I believe I know exactly what gun this shell casing was for. The M21A1 round was fired by the Colt Mk 12 20mm cannon, used by the US Navy post-WWII. The "51" is the year of manufacture, 1951, and "Gibson" indicates it was manufactured by the Gibson Tractor Company.
Technically, this isn't an "anti-aircraft" round, as that would imply it was fired from the ground. Also, "shell" refers to the casing + projectile. This is a "shell casing".
U should do somethimg with a weightlifting plate, i wonder what u can make with one
it looks really good
Nice idea! Thanks for the remastered video.
Now I want one
That's nice I want a 50cal ring
Respect for leaving a comment to the author. I would be grateful if you look at my content and rate it. In one of the videos, I made a sapphire ring from a titanium pipe on a lathe.
Love the ideas keep it up
Dude... That looks awesome!
Brilliant
Definitely one of my favorite UA-cam creators
Well I would love to but something like that, it looks amazing!
I'm also from Europe so ammunition is something we see only on shooting ranges. Great work !
think you can make a metal sorcerer's staff next.
Great video. I have been wondering how that process worked. I'm so tempted to start rounding up materials, but I don't need another 6 months of hyperfixation to contend with.
Amazing
Wish I had the tools to do that 👍
Thing is 🔥🔥🔥
good job
What do you coat it with to stop it tarnishing and turning your finger green?
This was a really good idea. I like how you explain things in your videos. You really help me to understand things that I always have wondered about. ☺️
@E Van How did he act like he was the first to do it?
@E Van Why do you have to be mean? Are you jealous that he's actually doing something? Who cares if 1000 people did it before him?
that is awesome
very cool!
Nice job :)
That is really cool. you should try the 50 cal. casing next. Those shells are a little easier to find.
beautiful, i love it 🥰🔥
Nice.
Veryyy cool.!
Thats cool! Id love to have one except wearing a ring is annoying to me.

This is the man who made growtopia
Hey, that is a very nice video, just straight to the topic, short, professionally done. But I have a question: is that "end slice" (that thin piece you cut off using a lathe) really only 2cm in external diameter? What is the internal diameter of the finished ring (in mm)?
0:08 Barret 50 cal bullet : "Dad"
Hello!
Your channel is one of my favorites because the work you produce is of a quality that is exquisite! Could you please share a link or information on where you acquired the ring stretcher and arbor press? Thanks and cheers!
Does it react slowly with skin or sweat? I wonder how durable it'd be
I kinda wanna buy one
Surprising how little the lettering distorted! 😮
Hi, I want to make a cane with some 3D printed parts, and I really like your designs, do people pay you to make parts, is that something that you do as well?
Hi Robinson Foundry! I really like your videos about lost PLA castings. I am a drummer and always dreamt about owning a bronze cast drum. It would be 14" wide and 6.5" high, with 1/5" shell thickness. How would you attempt casting such an item? What kind of mold do you think is right for this purpose? I think, sand could be a way to go, since plaster in this volume could be expensive and prone to crack, ceramic needs a furnace big enough to burn it out. Any other advice on how to go about this?
That's asmr bro
1:38 I should call her
What do you use to keep the ring from turning your finger green?
First to like and love your videos man. Keep em coming
Hello Robinson, I'm a Brazilian fan and Would like you to replicate the trophy of the fifa World Cup
Don't forget to tell the viewers to make sure they "ring" the bell to subscribe🤣!
Can you give that ring as a gift...?
Watching you from Philippines
Idol
I mean can I have that ring
Was it Modern Rogue who inspired you for this video? good content as usual
I’d love to buy a ring made from a 20mm shell! You sell them?
but how will you handle the green oxide the brass produces with skin contact? won't you have to line it with another metal?
What would it cost me to get one of those made in an 11
what is that burr removal tool??? where can I find one of those?!?!?!?!
This is fuckin sick and came out so good!!!!
Which software do you use for modelling?
Make a rubicks cube please
where can I get one of these shells
Do you make those for sale? My neighbor is a retired USAF pilot who flew F15's, I know he'd love something like that.
How much are those casings?
I have some 25mm shells from a M2A3 Bradley. Could u make my wife and I a pair of wedding rings?
Where can I buy this ring?
Jealous of all your cool toys. 😂

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo aaaaaaaaaaaaa daaaaaam
Hey man do u sell these
No, it's just a project for fun. The man hours required for one wouldn't make it with it to sell.
