Think about it, Walmart doesn’t pay it’s employees, or give benefits like Costco, and yet Costco can stay competitive with Walmart. I’ll stick with Costco.
Walmart usually hires PART TIME workers which legally makes then NOT required to offer benefits like most all corporate grocery chains Fast food chains also have mostly part time workers who don't get benefits either
In my opinion when it comes to house brands, Kirkland is significantly better than Member’s Mark. Additionally, the quality of other merchandise such as housewares and clothing, seems to be better at Costco.
I’ve had memberships to both clubs. I’ve been a continuous member of Costco for 20 years. The Kirkland brand is sourced with better products. Costco offers a better overall shopping experience due to their employees. They offer better starting salaries, benefits, career invective’s which makes their employees happier. Happy workers make better employees.
Sam's Club's Scan-and-Go feature in their app and the fact that their produce lasts longer (at least in Hawaii) are the reasons why I'm willing to spend and drive a little bit more to go to Sam's. BUT Costco does offer more organic options and more milk alternatives. Thank you for this video! I've always wanted to do something like this but shopping with a 4YO means I'm just trying to get through the store before he gets bored and starts trying to climb out of the cart lol.
Even though the chicken is more at Costco, it is much more convenient. It comes as 6 connected packages you can cut to separate and they freeze well in the thick packaging. If you don't use the Sam's package all at once you need to take the time and whatever bags, foil or wrap and break it into more usable sizes.
I've had both memberships. I still prefer Costco, because they have so much more to choose from. And also their apparel section. They blow Sam's out of the water on clothing and shoe choices.
I also prefer Costco over Sams Club largely because of marketing honestly. I perceive Costco’s Kirkland brand to be superior in quality Members Mark, and that Costco offers more quality products in general.
I like the quality of Costco products better than Sam’s. It is not enough to compare the price of paper products for example when one is actually better than the other. I have memberships at both and live close to both, but have found that I tend to go to Costco more often. In fact, I plan to let the Sam’s membership lapse.
Thanks -- I especially like it when you displayed both prices on the screen at the same time. I shop at both and generally I find Sam's cheaper, but Costco tends to have better quality. The Costco warehouse is cleaner and less crowded. Wish list -- an app that would allow you to select the stores you normally shop at, then tell you which store has the lowest price.
Love your channel. A note on the large black garbage bags. The outdoor leaf bags at Costco (1.4mil thickness) is a lot thinner than the contractor bags at Sam’s (3 mil). They’re used for 2 different functions. Honestly 2 different products.
People have been asking me for MONTHS to make a follow up video from my last Costco vs Sam's series, so if you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP as it really helps my channel 😀 Which do YOU prefer - Costco or Sam’s and WHY??👇Comment Below 👇
I both memberships but I love the convenient of scan and go with my cell phone. No more standing in line. This is the main reason I shop more often at Sam's.
I’d LIVE to see a similar price comparison video between COSTCO and a large box box retailer or grocery store chain. Always want to know if buying in bulk at either club is worth the trip. Thanks!
For me Sam’s Club makes more sense. It’s 21 miles to the nearest one, vs 52 miles to closest Costco. Sams Club is cheaper on trash bags. $15 for 200. Never had any rip or be malformed like I’ve heard Costco bags are. Besides price there are other factors to consider. Are there other stores nearby that you shop at? Do you drive past one or the other more often? We used to drive past Sams club on our way to Indiana to visit my husband’s family. They moved but we still buy lots of things there. I love paying $22 for like 40 rolls of 🧻 that will last us months. Same with dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and paper towels.
Sam’s is a WIN for me. The Scan & Go is so well worth waiting in the lines at either of the stores! You have to touch on the gas too! The experience at Sam’s is quite more efficient to me!
Personally I like shopping at both Costco and Sam’s Club. They each carry different items and I like to compare shopping at both places. I love their seasonal decorations at both stores. Thank you Matt, for all you do for us.
I agree. I typically lean on sams club cause of scan and go and curbside pick up. With 4 kids this is very helpful. Typically prefer Kirkland brand over members mark. Costco is so packed I get anxious even with the new costco in murrieta.
Both Sams and Costco are crowded. Costco is farther and so terribly crowded and their parking lot is insane. I appreciate Costco for being kind to their employees but for now going to Sam’s, closer and the things we buy are cheaper. Our Costco membership just expired. Can’t renew this year.
I go to both also but prefer Sam’s because it’s five minutes from my house and COSTCO is 25 mins away. Sam’s gas is always 3 to 5 cents cheaper for premium.
I also shop at both but prefer Sam’s for toilet paper, paper towels, etc.. Costco is definitely cheaper on peanut butter (larger sized jars too) and Rao’s marinara (larger jars as well). Sam’s hotdogs are better (much better bun to dog ratio), AND they sell chips in the food court. Costco pizza is much better though. It’s a different shopping experience but both enjoyable.
They make toilet paper tricky to calculate on purpose. I would think one good way to measure it would be to check the length and weight of each package. How many sheets may not be very accurate when the sheets aren’t the same size or the same thickness.
your only allowed 3 sheets per wipe…doesnt matter the brand. no ifs, ands, or but(t)s. so obviously buy more sheets. TP thickness only affects the amount of soap your hand will need after the fact
Yes, one day I compared toilet paper prices with Target, Safeway and King Soopers. They all had slightly different sizes (number of rolls & size of individual rolls), so I actually had to write everything down to compare side by side in writing. Target was way cheaper. I despise Wal Mart and Sams Club and don’t shop at either one.
It’s amazing to see the price differences at stores across the country. A lot of the stuff listed doesn’t cost as much where I am in North Florida. Not that big of a difference but I saw up to $2 in price difference compared to what was shown.
Since Costco takes good care of their employees, paying them a fair wage, I will choose them every time, even if a particular product is a few pennies more. This comparison was a lot of work, thanks Matt.
Costco self checkout is very annoying at our club and requires supervision from an employee (and a wait) while Sams works much better and I get out more quickly. Sams is also open on holidays that Costco is not.
Exactly…well said. Let us not forget that WalMart paid so little that most of its employees qualified for govt. assistance. Costco cares about their employees.
Another great video Matt! There are other factors to consider. When I got my Sam's membership, Costco wasn't even around. Some time later Costco appeared after I had been shopping at Sam's for years. The disadvantage for Costco is the location of where they put the store. I find Sam's in smaller towns and Costco is nowhere to be found. The convenience of not driving to large cities is priceless! When Costco came to my area, the membership was considerably more than Sam's. But the one thing that remains neutral in this battle of warehouse stores is that I'll watch your videos for both stores. But I have to admit, I've been liking the bakery items from Costco lately. 😘 Thanks for sharing this wonderful insight of these two stores! 🥰
Costco's Lemon Bites are exquisite. And I remember shopping at Costco in the days before Thanksgiving. As I entered, people were streaming out with their giant fresh apple pies. Everyone was carrying one.
I don't know where you live, I'm in SoCal, Costco that used to be "Price Club" has been around longer than Sam's, I think by about 10 years. I too like them both but in my humble opinion, Costco house brand Kirkland is better quality than Sam's Member's Mark.
To be fair, ziploc “storage”bags are not the same as ziploc “freezer” bags. Price will be different because they ARE different baggies. Love your channel, thanks for all the great info!
I noticed the same on several products. He's not comparing "apples to apples". Another example is Morton kosher salt versus iodized along with the Heinz ketchup. I usually enjoy watching his videos, but this one I can't finish it because of so many discrepancies.
You are not wrong Deb! Unfortunately, Costco only sells one type of quart sized ziplock bags in-warehouse and Sam's sells the other kind - so it was the best comparison I could make. I should have done a better job with disclosing that information, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and I still hope you enjoyed the video :)
Yeah, Sam's has both storage and freezer bags. I always buy the freezer bags no matter what, because they are thicker and sturdier than the storage bags for whatever I need.
I currently have both but still prefer Sam’s because of the Scan and Go feature as well as the plus membership which allows me to shop as early as 8am. Costco is always packed even right when they open their doors, but going to Sam’s at 8am has been my go to and it’s never packed at that time. The thing Costco has that I prefer is their frozen section as they have more variety of items and they also have a lot of snacks. However, I did find a good amount of Sam’s products to be cheaper that I usually buy on a regular basis.
Many of the items compared are just pennies apart and gas cost and distance, obviously, figures in as well. Sams is 10 min from my house, Costco is 30 minutes - but I do find Costco quality better on clothing and gift items. I have cards for both and use both.
Thank you, Matt! Costco is our only option where we live. I have only good things to say about their super efficient and friendly employees. We take advantages of their sales which helps save money too.
I've been shopping at Costco for 28 years. Two weeks ago, I went there and spent $500. - and saved $25. with their coupons. I also do a lot of shopping on-line --- and I rarely have to return anything. There's a Sam's Club 5 minutes from my home - I walked around the store and felt very uncomfortable. Costco is 10 minutes away --- and shopping there always makes me happy. Great Quality Products, Easy Returns, Cashiers are always helpful and put the products in my cart for me - as I'm "old." Many times, I have one of their workers walk the cart to my car and unload it. Great Video!!!!!
Can't go per roll when there's 235 sheets on one brand and 380 on the other. Going by total square footage that's on the package as well: Sam's: 1254.3 sq-ft for $21.60 = 58.07 square feet per dollar. Costco: 1425 sq-ft $18.99 = 75.04 square feet per dollar. Costco is nearly 50% more per dollar. That said, the best option seems to be to pick the warehouse that's closest to your house 😂
I also think you would need to go by weight. Going by per sheet isn’t accurate, because one sheet may be bigger or thicker than the other. How many feet and the weight would probably be more accurate. They intentionally make toilet paper tricky to calculate.
As always, another informative video! I really want to thank you for all your work on this one, in times when prices on everything is going up it helps to know who has the better prices on what items. I like both Sam’s and Costco, but i definitely would pick Costco over Sam’s. I tend to like the quality and selection of the Costco items better. Also location of the stores also makes a big difference, many of the Sam’s nearest me have clientele that tend to “trash” the store, over crowd the store, and quickly deplete certain items (usually without fail it’s the item you specifically went to the store for). Costco’s nearest me seem to be clean and stocked well (for the most part).
Good morning Matt. Though the price of the rotisserie chickens are the same, The rotisserie chickens don't compare. I have never seen such big rotisserie chickens as Costco has. The chicken is so big that some of them barely fit in the container.
Wow Matt, This video took some work! I only have Sams Club in my area and quite frankly I’m happy with it. I’ve always loved the meat 🥩 dept. And as long as I keep an eye on the prices they’ve never let me down. Thank you for all you hard work.
I have membership at both and I absolutely loved this video. On some things I would choose Costco over Sams especially when it’s an organic option for just a tad bit more
Good morning Matt. Thanks so much for this price comparison video. This is helpful as we continue to save as much money as possible. My biggest concern with price point shopping is inflation vs. shrinkflation; whereas you’re paying more for less.
Great video, it really showcases the differences between the clubs. Only thing me and my family missed was your "THESE!" opener. My son always smiles hearing that.
Thanks for the comparison. I really think that I am staying with Costco. I have the executive card and shopping at Costco usually pays for the membership.
I like things about both. Love the scan and go at Sam's. Wish Costco had that! But I like Costco travel better and have saved tons of money through them over the years. Definitely enough to justify a Costco membership alone if you travel much. Just depends on your preferences and shopping habits. Great video!
NO wipes are flushable!! Ask anyone involved in water purification or septic tank cleanouts. IJS. This may be TMI: I dispose of mine by putting them inside empty cardboard rolls left over from empty toilet paper or paper towels. For paper towels, I cut the cores in thirds (they cut easily with dollar-store scissors) and keep them in a gallon ziplock in the bathroom. This method keeps the used wipes from looking too awful in the bathroom garbage, which is lined with a garbage bag and stays covered, anyway. If everyone gets in the habit of disposing of them that way, a lot of plumbing issues will be avoided. Again, my apologies for broaching the subject; it's not pleasant, but it's important.
When my mother became bedridden, the adult diapers and mattress pads were significantly less expensive at Sam’s. I like shopping at Costco better and I know that they treat their employees better. I have both memberships. I usually get my gas at Sam’s.
Loved this video! My sister and I were both saying that we never intended to have memberships for both Sam's and Costco, but we love different things in each place! I love the fact that Sam's has early hours for those of us with Pluse memberships, shipping is free and they have curbside service. But Costco wants to to go into the store and they have some amazing clothing for sale there. I used to get the expensive Canidae for my dog, but lately I've been disappointed with the quality of their dog food, so I looked up the reviews and quality of the Costco dog food and it is very good! And my dog likes the taste better! I love the Kirkland brand of olive oil and soy milk too!
I love your videos. They're entertaining and informative. Yet, I noticed in this video multiple times you were not comparing equivalent items. Kosher items cost more, as do all natural. It may notatter to some people but based on other comments I read here, clearly Costco is the place to go for higher quality items. Thanks for your video!
Completely understand Karen. Because sometimes the clubs didn’t have an exact like for like so I had to compare the next best alternative. These were the only boxed salt options (owned by Morton) available at both places :(
You are so fun and informative and I appreciate it so much. It has helped my single mom family so much. The snacks are my favorite. Keep up the great work and videos and of course your beautiful family.
It would have been nice to see the money difference total between buying these products. When I figure gas to Sam's and gas to Costco Sam's is 35 miles closer that's why I let my Costco card expire.
It was great to see the difference between the two places. I still prefer Costco. I was shocked that you said Pepsi products were $8.99 at Costco. My Costco in Nevada has Pepsi at $12.79 for 24 cans! It’s been like that all year.
its nevada.... Come on hahahah. Got to understand how that states enconomy runs especially if you live in vegas henderson area which i am guessing you do
Thank you for posting this! Thank you for doing the leg work. And for taking the time to edit your videos. I know how time consuming that is. I tell everyone about your channel. ❤
Thank you so much Matt for this comparison review . Please note: The salt is not the same Costco is Kosher salt the Sam salt is Iodized salt, not Kosher.
Thank you for this! We don't have Costco anywhere around but yes there is Sam's we love. I take advantage of the free shipping option on plus memberships
Thank you, this is great. I have been a Costco member for awhile, but Sam's had a join for 8.00 special,so now I can make a mental note on which items to buy where.
Sam's Club water at my local warehouse is $4.24. also noticed that it is reverse osmosis only while Costco water shifts among three types of filtrations so sam's club wins on always having reverse osmosis filtering which is the best filtering. Update: now it's $3.98.
Thanks for doing this. I’ve often wondered which was better/cheaper. We have been Sams club members for 30 years but we never had a Costco around us to even try. We have one a couple hours away now so we may try it out before we buy our next membership!
I think you forgot one of the biggest attractors at Sam's Club: their mobile app with Scan & Go. Nowadays, I can walk into Sam's Club, grab what I want, scan it with my phone, pay on my phone, and walk right out without having to stand in a checkout line. It's super convenient because now I don't feel like I'm wasting time by going to Sam's Club just to pick up 1-2 items (as opposed to Costco where I felt like I HAD to fill up my cart and be judicious about how often I went in order to justify the extra time waiting in lines). Until Costco catches up with Sam's Club and makes a usable in-store purchase app, I'll stick with Sam's Club.
Loved the video. I was also curious about the electronics and home improvement section. Please share a comparison on that in your next video if possible. Thank you!!
Edit: NEVER FLUSH WIPES. There is no thing as flushable wipes. Tip, go to Costco first while checking the sam's app since they show pricing. I don't know if in-store and app pricing differs but you could even order the cheaper items for curbside pickup. My Costco has raw tortillas for $2 more AND a brand I don't like, and Sam's has the brand I prefer for the $2 cheaper price at the same tortilla count. So I literally have a Sam's membership for tortillas
Thanks for another helpful video! I agree with another person’s views - Kirkland products are far superior, they have better tasting wine & you can’t beat COSTCO’s clothing for kids - cute & very adorable!
For me personally, it’s not so much about how cheap the products are as opposed to the overall quality experience I get from the store, their reputation in the communities they serve and corporate responsibility. I’ve shopped at both stores but overall, I’ve always had much better quality experiences with Costco than with Sam’s Club.
I have a membership at Sam's only. My hubby has at both through my f-i-l, but he rarely goes. I think if I had the COSTCO card, I might go more often especially after watching your video. I really do appreciate your videos and all of your hard work that you put into them! The Sam's Club scan and go app is very handy as well as the members plus for free shipping.
What a great video Matt! your hard work and research for these videos are greatly appreciated! I prefer Costco because, price aside, they offer more organic items and asian food items!
I don't shop at either of these stores, but my daughter prefers Costco. She says the Kirkland brand is superior. I have shopped with her at Costco and I love the bakery! I'm going the share this cost comparison with her! Thanks Matt!
I enjoy your enthusiasm in all your videos. I really enjoy Sam’s app where you can scan and checkout vs Costco stand in line to check out. Otherwise both stores give me the same shopping experience.
I shop at both Sam’s and Costco. I have my favorites at both but for paper products Kirkland is way better than Member Mark. Also I believe you get more product, i.e. more sheets in both the paper towels and the toilet tissue with Kirkland. Based on the cost you’re putting for the soda I’d like to shop at your Sam’s or Costco it’s way more here in Southern California than what you are quoting.
Thank you for the comparison video. We have both Sam's club membership and Costco membership. I buy most of my groceries from Sam's because of curbside pickup. In my opinion, Sam's club has better meat but, Costco has way better produce. Sam's club also has the scan and go feature which makes having to run into the store fast, easy and efficient. If Costco offered those two features that might be a game changer for my family! For now, I will be keeping both memberships.
I love these comparisons especially with the high cost of food/supplies etc. For someone who has to feed 5 mouths I’m always looking for comparison and deals. I’ll take it where I can get it for less. Thank you for the videos! 😇
Great video. Very informative. I like both depending on what I need to get. I did notice the pictures of ziploc cags. One was freeer and the other storage. Tbat will change the price on its own.
Think about it, Walmart doesn’t pay it’s employees, or give benefits like Costco, and yet Costco can stay competitive with Walmart. I’ll stick with Costco.
Yep, that's something to think about.
So true.
Former Costco employee here. I can vouch for the fact that Costco treated employees well and provided excellent benefits. Hopefully they still do!
Amen
Walmart usually hires PART TIME workers which legally makes then NOT required to offer benefits like most all corporate grocery chains Fast food chains also have mostly part time workers who don't get benefits either
In my opinion when it comes to house brands, Kirkland is significantly better than Member’s Mark. Additionally, the quality of other merchandise such as housewares and clothing, seems to be better at Costco.
Agree 100%--and I'm members at both stores. Costco has much higher quality and far more organic in-store options.
All of the above, plus you know their diapers are Huggies, Kirkland is Duracell and their laundry soap is tide!
Has anyone compared the quality of the toilet paper?
Yes! I've found some great clothing pieces at Costco as well as camping gear.
Kirkland Vodka is Grey Goose. wonder what the Member's Mark one is?
I’ve had memberships to both clubs. I’ve been a continuous member of Costco for 20 years. The Kirkland brand is sourced with better products. Costco offers a better overall shopping experience due to their employees. They offer better starting salaries, benefits, career invective’s which makes their employees happier. Who has the best cheapest prices on meat selections?
I just wish that costco has the shop and go feature in their app.
The holiday gift items are usually really nice at Costco.
Who cares? We want cheaper items kid
I worked at costco. They are slaves. The pay is trash
Not to mention Sams Club on Oahu has waaaaaaay less shoppers than Costco. That makes it better in my opinion. Lol!
I love Sam’s Club Scan-and-go feature too. No more standing in a long miserable line. I can be in and out within 10 minute.
Sam's has the best experience due to the "Scan and Go" function of their app. Costco really needs this functionality
no not really, The experience of going to costco is hands down better then sams
@pilot518 I totally agree!!
We have nothing but problems with the Sam's app. I know several people, including myself that had to delete the app.
Sounds dystopian
Love the scan and go option!
Thank you for all the hard work you do on these videos!
You're welcome! This one took me over a month to make haha
Even though the chicken is more at Costco, it is much more convenient. It comes as 6 connected packages you can cut to separate and they freeze well in the thick packaging. I feel like Costco offers more organic products and you can’t beat their clothing section.
hmmm (clothing) any odd unusual suzes at Any duscount spots?
Yeah I like Costco the best
Yup. You can end up with clothing for like $4/$5/item with the buy 5 deal+sales
Unless you're plus size. They don't carry larger sizes.
This! These are the reasons I shop at Costco. And dog food
I’m a member at both. Sam’s has some things that Costco doesn’t carry. However, I much prefer Costco. Loved this video. Thanks. ❤️
Why do you prefer Costco? Super interested to know
I also prefer Costco over Sams Club largely because of marketing honestly. I perceive Costco’s Kirkland brand to be superior in quality Members Mark, and that Costco offers more quality products in general.

I prefer to shop Costco. Better products, better service and they treat their employees well. All are important to me if you want my business.

Yes I’ve been wanting to make that app for 5 years now. Sure someone else would do it one day.

I have all three memberships, Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s
Costco one year membership for $55. Sams gave us one year at $30 plus free $30 gift card.
Costco!
I both memberships but I love the convenient of scan and go with my cell phone. No more standing in line. This is the main reason I shop more often at Sam's.
Costco
It is the over all quality of Costco in meats, seafood and Kirkland brands that keeps me loyal.

Scan and go is amazing! It doubles as a price checker!
Especially during the Holidays.
Costco has self checkout lanes too.
@@dannydaw59 true but they don’t have scan and go

Nah they have standard size for sheet
Sam's is noticeably thicker, so fewer sheets needed.
I'm a member in both. The Costco gas price savings difference more than covers membership
Oh my gosh, Mara is the cutest and best little assistant! 👏🏻 😊

Costco 4 life. To much trash at the glorified Walmart
My local Sam's and Costco are about 1 mile apart from each other. I have memberships to both. Sometimes I head to Sam's so I can avoid the crowds.
Costco self checkout is very annoying at our club and requires supervision from an employee (and a wait) while Sams works much better and I get out more quickly. Sams is also open on holidays that Costco is not.
I don’t care who has the better price. I will always pick Costco because it’s a better company. I love that they treat the employees so well.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful insight of these two stores! 🥰
I agree with everything you said!
I just can't support the Walmart/Sam's corporation.
Rather have Costco.
Wanda Walker, I couldn't agree more, not to mention the gas prices/quality is great.
Never been to Costco before but I truly appreciate Sam's Plus Membership with Free Shipping, Early Shopping and Scan & Go.
same with Costco lol
Facts...
Wait costco doesnt have scan n go
I’ve had both memberships but stuck with Costco in spite of being further away because of their quality. Thanks for another great review.
Going by total square footage that's on the package as well:
Sam's: 1254.3 sq-ft for $21.60 = 58.07 square feet per dollar.
Costco: 1425 sq-ft $18.99 = 75.04 square feet per dollar.
Costco is nearly 50% more per dollar.
That said, the best option seems to be to pick the warehouse that's closest to your house 😂
Thank you. I was wondering about this. The Kirkland toilet paper is surprisingly thick. It's not about the number of rolls
I agree with your assessment. I usually buy Costco TP because while it rarely goes on sale, it is generally cheaper than Sam's.
I also think you would need to go by weight. Going by per sheet isn’t accurate, because one sheet may be bigger or thicker than the other. How many feet and the weight would probably be more accurate. They intentionally make toilet paper tricky to calculate.
@@sstephens2175 Correct, sort of. Once the tp is too thick, you'd be throwing cash down the toilet lol pun intended
@@sstephens2175 regardless of thickness I generally use the same number of sheets... So thickness or width don't really factor into cost per use 🤷♂️🤣
I like Costco for most things. But Sam's wins for free shipping, scan & go, and better store brand TP (almost as thick as Charmin!)
Charmin is often on deals cheaper than Kirkland at Costco.
Love 'ya Matt!! Please thank your wife and kids for sharing you with us!!! All your hard work, on our behalf, is sincerely appreciated!!!! ❤😊❤
Good morning Matt.
Though the price of the rotisserie chickens are the same, The rotisserie chickens don't compare. I have never seen such big rotisserie chickens as Costco has. The chicken is so big that some of them barely fit in the container.
Interesting take on this Diane! I have heard the Costco chickens are a little bigger also
That's because they're injected with hormones. It make them grow big & fast. Not good.
Plus the burds at Sam’s look horrifying; don’t mind smaller ones, but Sam is cooking them wrong
💉
I got one bird from Costco, it was raw in the thigh.
I prefer Costco by far, tried Sams Club and I found less of what I would find at Costco.
On some things I would choose Costco over Sams especially when it’s an organic option for just a tad bit more
Thanks Matt for the video. Even though some things are cheaper at Sam's club than Costco's the quality of Costco's Stuff is alot better!
Disagree. I’ve had meat and fruit from Costco go bad almost immediately. Never had that problem with Sam’s meat or produce.
Good morning Matt. Thanks so much for this price comparison video. This is helpful as we continue to save as much money as possible. My biggest concern with price point shopping is inflation vs. shrinkflation; whereas you’re paying more for less.
I agree with you Kelli
Happy Thursday! Thank you for sharing these awesome tips on both stores. Appreciate you always. Have a blessed weekend.
Great video, it really showcases the differences between the clubs. Only thing me and my family missed was your "THESE!" opener. My son always smiles hearing that.
Here in central virginia, are only choice is Sam's. The nearest Costco is over an hour away.
I don't buy Kirkland dog food but Costco has some terrific, high-end treats and the toys are nice, too.
Thank you! I’ve been hoping you’d cover this for a couple months now. I’ve been considering which one to sign-up for! ❤️ You sir are awesome 😎
Thanks Lillian!
Got to understand how that states enconomy runs especially if you live in vegas henderson area which i am guessing you do
@@benevolent2077 I live in Reno
Thank you for posting this! Thank you for doing the leg work. And for taking the time to edit your videos. I know how time consuming that is. I tell everyone about your channel. ❤
Thank you so much Matt for this comparison review . Please note: The salt is not the same Costco is Kosher salt the Sam salt is Iodized salt, not Kosher.
I noticed the same thing. Different products with different uses.
Thank you for this! We don't have Costco anywhere around but yes there is Sam's we love. I take advantage of the free shipping option on plus memberships
This is actually a hot topic right now for hubby and I. Thank you for this video, it was most helpful.
Thank you, this is great. I have been a Costco member for awhile, but Sam's had a join for 8.00 special,so now I can make a mental note on which items to buy where.
No Costco in my area, but we do have Sam’s. I especially like shopping there around Christmas!
Sooo glad to get your expertise on this! It's the never ending battle between the two!
I agree! You can't go wrong with either though
Sam's Club water at my local warehouse is $4.24. also noticed that it is reverse osmosis only while Costco water shifts among three types of filtrations so sam's club wins on always having reverse osmosis filtering which is the best filtering. Update: now it's $3.98.
I too shop at both as there are specific items that are only available at a certain club. Great video thanks for all your legwork!
I’ve shopped both and feel the quality of products is better at Costco. The service is also way better at Costco. Costco is my choice!!!
I love this comparison video. Great video.
Thanks Jeff :)
This was long overdue.. good job Matt. I got the right membership. 😄
The "I know Guac is Extra" bib is AWESOME!!!
Costco for the quality !
Costco treats there customers like Royalty and they so many great samples 😊😊❤❤
I belong to both clubs but love the scan feature at Sams and the easy pick up. Thanks for the comparisons! I appreciate it very much....
No thanks!
Thanks for doing this. I’ve often wondered which was better/cheaper. We have been Sams club members for 30 years but we never had a Costco around us to even try. We have one a couple hours away now so we may try it out before we buy our next membership!
I've always wanted to see something like this! Great video comparison!!
The toilet paper at Costco is cheaper per sheet at .166 cents, vs. Sam’s at .206 cents per sheet.
Thank you for doing the math
I am a member of both as well, but tend to show up at Sam's more often. Thanks for your videos! 😁
Yes, my plumber husband said, Never Flush Wipes!”
Cottonelle is flushable. No other will flush
Thanks for another helpful video! I agree with another person’s views - Kirkland products are far superior, they have better tasting wine & you can’t beat COSTCO’s clothing for kids - cute & very adorable!
Nicely done Matt! I have always wondered how these two compared...Thanks!
Thank you Matt for the comparison video. I shop both and find different items I like at each store.
Thanks Matt appreciate all the work you do.
Great take!
Agree 100% 😊
And now you know its cheaper too, thanks to Matt!!
Thank you so much for doing this! I know it’s a lot of work and it’s so useful for us🙂
Great video, thanks, Matt!
Thank you for this analysis!
I like them both!!👍🏽. But I love your input on what items I can save more on each club. Also love you’re dynamic!!!!
Yes you are right! Costco didn't have the non-freezer version and to be honest I've purchased both and couldn't really tell a difference 🤷🏻♂
Yes...the same with the oatmeal!!! Sam's was instant and Costco's was old fashioned and you pay more for quick cooking over long
Sooo helpful! Great content.
Thanks great video . Loved u shows
