This is the first video I watched of yours. I was looking up blue river kayaking videos. I have to say I LOVE your whole vibe a lot. I'm a solo kayaker and travel full time. I'm in Indiana at the moment and was hoping to explore some of blue river while I'm here. I absolutely love that you talk to the fish and the birds. I do the same. I just started my UA-cam channel about 3 weeks ago. Definitely going to give you a follow. You gave me some ideas for packing when I start paddling in the cooler months. Thanks so much for the amazing video!!!
@Heruntamedroots thank u very much! That was a very cool day out on the blue river for sure, I wish u good luck with ur YT channel! It's a lot of fun but also a ton of work, yea...I try to be welcoming to all the creatures on our planet...some more challenging then others, like the skunks:)...a very beautiful prestine lake in this area is Celina Lake to kayak and fish, enjoy ur travels!
Nice canoe. I wanted a We No Nah ,but I was buying during covid, so Canada was not sending across the northern border. Wound up getting Discovery 169 Old Town. Great boat. Noticed you mentioned The Current River, ya that's where I started paddling as little kid. I mostly paddle Ozark or eastern Ky. rivers. North Fork of The Cumberland below the falls class three water. And speaking of trout, if'ya happen to be in The Ozarks, and feel like catching not fishing ...Bennet Springs State Park, in southwest Missouri. I used to work there in the hatchery. We stock two fish per expected fisherman. Oh and keep this secret (The Eleven Point) is the best river in Mo. Not as crowded as The Current
Blackjack music I appreciate the info! Sounds like u really like running the rivers! I'll keep Bennet Springs in mind...and yes on the Eleven Point...ran it along with the Jack's Fork...super cool rivers, can't forget the Bufalo either...see ya
@@laffilmfest3759 Never ran The Buffalo , but need to. While at Bennet I lived up river on The Niangua. I always wanted to paddle to work, but never got around to it. World class smallmouth fishing right out front of my cabin
Sounds nice, here in southern Indiana I hunt large mouth bass any chance I get, the last 27 miles of the Buffalo is pure wilderness, ends into the White river which has trout in it...super cool adventure, at the White Buffalo resort I would spend the night, then they arrange a local to take u up river in ur vehicle. When arriving back ur car is sitting there waiting...nice folks!
Old Man I that is super cool u saw those jets! A lot of folks never look up, gives me chills right now though....because the Stratos strike force is in Europe right now....ready for Russia to invade.....this is bad Sir...very very bad...
Grew up about 6-7 miles upstream from where you were, recognized where you were it’s called white cloud. Even recognized the overlook restaurant in the beginning lol. I’ve fished there my whole life. Swear by those rooster tails!
David when u say "White Cloud"......is that the section of river I was on....or like a name for the community there? I love that section of the Blue....my favorite
Just stumbled across this video, White cloud! My neighbor had a fishcamp on the river in White cloud I remember going there in the 70’s loved the whole area! the waterfall over the Rothrock mill Dam was one of my favorites. I hear the remnants of the mill are gone and the dam has been leveled
@@laffilmfest3759 You are out there fishing, that is all that matters. I also use the beetle spin type lures and rooster tails. (I like a three inch curly tail grub in white or black on the beetle spin) Those rooster tails have been catching fish for at least 70 years. I know I have been catching fish on them for 55 years or more. Hope to see you on the water someday!
Ok.....I will....thank U.....seems being weight less means they will sink slower and float in current better....very interesting....thanks for dropping by :)

Love that stretch of the river. I always go downstream from the chapel access site. So pretty! I usually see a heron or eagle and some deer.
Yea! It's been a bit since I have been back but I've been doing that stretch for years...rarely do u see anyone once u launch past the ramp :)

That B-2 bomber was great. One day on the farm I heard loud engines and I saw a WW2 B-17 and a B-24 flying over.

Name of the community or town. It’s between corydon and Leavenworth. Close to the Forestry
