PLEASE DO THE DRY INGREDIENTS FIRST!!
3 cups of flour (if it’s sticky add more flour)
1/4 cup of sugar
I yeast packet (the one u used in the beginning)
1 tsp of salt
Now time for the wet ingredients
1 cup of water
1 egg
1/4 cup of oil
NOW I see that your bread was rising good but your gonna let it rise for 1 hour in the oven (off obviously and with the towel on top the microwave works to! With the oven do it with the light on it helps kinda)
Then after that shape it or put it in the bread pan like u did and let it rise for 1 hour again
Then you bake it at 350 and your gonna wanna do 10 minutes at a time

Hey Nat, as a chef, for your French bread, try mixing the cinnamon with the eggs first, then add rest of ingredients, trust me the blend better. Also, soak bread longer. And yes, more sugar and cook longer for your compote
