Waders in a boat are not dangerous, the water pressure actually helps inflate the feet, there are many videos out there proving this point.
No life jacket/buoyancy aid is not the best tho

I'm saying it from first hand experience where a young lad died on a lake local to me. Pretty sure the UA-cam videos are strong swimmers proving a point not your average angler - not that I have watched them. All I know from experience of swimming fully clothed is difficult let alone with waders especially if the water is cold
