Actually he was doing kindoff philosophy. Taunting the Hive mind would be a bit of a stretch for his mind since a psyker can't normally look (and communicate with) the hive mind without having his brain melting.
@Emidretrauqe It's Dawn of War 2. I still find it funny that they said they didn't put nids in DOW1 because they couldn't do them justice in the engine. The gameplay there was a lot more suited to nids than DOW2.
@tresetatiniephil Different Hive Fleets don't exactly get a long. The Red Tyranids are from Hive Fleet Behemoth, the normal ones are from leviathan, so they'll compete with one another...violently...to ensure that only the best survive.
@outlawstar15a2 The Tyranid campaign is already devoid enough of interesting dialogue, it's good they at least had Kyras gloating to Tyranids to make the cutscenes worth something.
@Colddirector Sure, the biomass in of outmost importance for the Tyranids and the hive mind.. But the consciousness is within the hivemind.. the neat thing with collective consciousness :P
Disruption of the hivemind. They literally cannot hear the hivemind's voice telling them not to attack other Tyranids. Without the command of a hivemind, Tyranids go ballistic on EVERYTHING.
And then the Hive Mind started spawning creatures without skulls, just to piss Khorne off...
"Skulls for the skull throne!"
*Tyranid skulls are now made with cartilage... which decays*
2:01 Wow that's a... unusually enthusiastic nid right there.

It probably does pay attention to him, since it considered him to be a very potent threat
He’s also merged with a daemon of Khorne, which might offer him some protection.
0:46, Hive Lord is like "wut?"
"I've prepared a feast for you"
In contrast you took away their feast!

I'm sure everyone loves this whole "Tyranid Strike Squad" theme. It must be exactly what they wanted for a Tyranid campaign.

Even Kyras talks to the 'nids! Which part of mindless world devouring horde of mindless xenos mindlessly rampaging through worlds do they not get?

@Alavaria It needs to be near a Digestion Pool to do such
@Colddirector Sure, the biomass in of outmost importance for the Tyranids and the hive mind.. But the consciousness is within the hivemind.. the neat thing with collective consciousness :P
@Alavaria I guess it's of some importance that their biomass is absorbed so they don't lose it?
@HellrazerGR Calm down, they had to do that. Otherwise the entire mission would be without dialogue.
Those red things Are they Tyranids?? Then why do they not join the party

And tyranids fight each other, don't forget that
why couldn't the hive lord just die and respawn anyway? I mean "teleporting" is dying...
Requires a digestion pool.
