If they didn't do that, the game would not look as good as it does. It's like complaining that Half-Life uses a modified Quake engine when they could have just used the Doom engine so it could run on older computers
The Xbox version uses far lower graphical quality than is available on the PC version. Why did they do this? Just to make the game not run on handhelds? I thought the port was bad but that's not the case, it is apparently very good, just that the graphics options are way too high on PC
this game is unplayable for the steam deck so I’m gonna wait until this game get a steam deck verified then I will buy I’m not gonna spend 59.99 when the game is not playable right now

Nah. It will be fixed. Deck still has life in it. Just because it may not play newer AAA titles doesn’t mean it’s “over”. There is a vast PC library to play on the device. It’s not all about brand new AAA games.

We don't even have day one patch. Why jumping to conclusion, when little bit of patches plus maybe modding is all you need. Steam Deck life is a patient one
Steam Deck is, was and will always be a machine for the backlogs. Nothing wrong with that. In some ways, playing older games is more fun and more sensible these days.

The same thing happened with RDR2. The consoles run settings lower than low, and some other games probably do the same thing.

Definitely the little GPU that can't. There are definitely some games the Steam Deck will never play well without big compromises.
