Jason, this is beautiful to see. The only way it could be more retro is if you sold a b/w print copy of your project for us to read on the shitter. I have known of you for years on RC10talk and it's really nice to see your face and especially see you drive. It's been sad to hear that many old timey forums are dying because of phones and social media, but I know well you've put your heart and soul into RC10talk. That forum was a lifeline for me through some tough times, as I know it was for others as well. Thank you. I have really appreciated Jeff's updates online, "for those of you not on Facebook" and because of that I have a few of his colab tranny cases in hand to retrofit some of my extensive collection. I can't wait to see what you do with that case; I know you'll have an RPM worlds version in record time, say in 15 years or so! That is the way of vintage collectables after all. Anyhoo, I wanted to show some love for this vid, it's just perfect. No need for a studio, light ring or all that editing garbage, and short version vids are perfect. Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, the decline of the forums/message boards is unfortunate. But not everyone is into FB and the like, so there are still plenty of guys that utilize them.
I honestly don't have a real big collection, compared to a lot of others. Especially complete cars. Haha. But I could maybe grab a car and do a video here and there.
I go into it a little in the video. It's kind of hard to explain...... it's just different. If you need to tap the throttle to adjust the car in the air it feels like it drops on the right rear instead of dropping the rear evenly. But with the new rear suspension changes, it's jumping pretty well. Once I can get more steering dialed out of the front, it should be a pretty solid car overall.
@@rc10talk Dialed out meaning remove steering? And regardless of that, do you have anymore running videos of this build on a track, particularly a higher grip track like clay with sauced slicks, or carpet/astro with pins?
@@Drunken_Hamster Yeah, take steering out of it. It has a bunch of steering on corner entry. It also needs more rear toe. I didn't get any video of it on the high bite surface at WoRC. I didn't have much time to mess with with the BC3 because I was focusing on the cars I had planned to race. I did get it on track after the race was over. No video though. It takes a little while to get used to how it drives, but I got it down to just under 2 seconds a lap slower than my B2. Then I touched the pipe and broke a knuckle. I think I could have shaved at least another second off that in another 4-5 laps.

How does that longitudinal motor and side-by-side electronics setup feel compared to other layouts?
I go into it a little in the video. It's kind of hard to explain...... it's just different.
