The acid STINGS even through numbing though
i had one when i was younger. i could feel it being removed even with anesthetic, and i cried so much (i was probably more scared than hurt, because i don't remember if it was really painful or not). after it was done the nurse seemed to feel really bad that i was crying because she was agitated and holding back tears 🥺 i have a fear of needles now bc she had to inject anesthetic multiple times. she probably used a little at a time because i was a kid.. but i'm really grateful to her. never had an ingrown toenail since 👍❤
My ingrown toe nail wasn't nearly as bad as the one in the video (I'm surprised cat lady was able to walk), but oh, my god did it hurt, when that piece of nail was removed. I got a nail clasp for it, so I hope I'll never have to go through that or worse again. But yea, afterwards I felt like a brand new person.

You can't just dig into the sides of your toe like that and not feel extreme pain, so I wince when it gets to that part in this video 😅. They also poke the boil on her foot with no anesthetic as well, lol. Still an overall relaxing video, given the ending, but kitty would indeed need lots of pain meds either before or after all of this.
Remember to cut your toenails horizontally in a straight line as opposed to cutting them rounded, everyone! This is one of the ways to avoid getting ingrown toenails

i had a ingrown toenail from july, and i got them removed by taking out the whole nail in october, seeing this video makes me remember how the doctors helped me calm down during the operation
this is like a much more soothing much less gross version of those pimple popping ads, this is giving me some retroactive relief for past ingrown nails
omg i love attention to details! the podiatrist’s technique is very gentle and anatomically correct (the nail pieces tho!!!), the only thing i’d suggest them is to wear gloves for theirs and clients’ safety. also don’t forget to sterilise the instruments in autoclave. AND 4 toes! cats really do have only 4 toes on their hind legs, i was shocked when i first found out. because their front paws have a little thumb, but hind legs do not. lovely

It is very painful but not to have it removed, as long as they give you local anesthesia. It is very painful when inflamed, I had mine removed, no pain during the purcedure and never came back 😅
It SUUUUUUUUCKS. Same nail,4 times in a year and a half. $200 for the first 3, the 4th I said enough is enough and dropped $450 for the dr to literally burn away/kill that corner of the nail bed (so down at the cuticle) so it’d stop growing back. 5years later,still don’t regret it.

That’s not going to fix the problem, hence you needing to go several times. They just want to make money on you at this point xD Instead you should simply learn to cut the nails correctly and it will stop occurring, it’s a very simple solution.

If your nails curl definitely round cut and cut the corners every few weeks.. i get ingrown only on the big toes cause they curl in if cut square
