First time removing the gas tank on my Scout Bobber

- It was super easy removing my gas tank. I did say to make sure the gas tank it’s empty but it’s not a big deal if it’s full. A little gas will leak through the hose but that’s it. Having it empty or almost empty will just save you from having to dump the gas like I had to do

Swap that filter out for an S&S or Trask Mama's. Oh, I also went for an external breather on the heads into a pcv valve filter. I don't want blow by going into my intake.

I've removed it more than I would have liked, lol. Once for the mini apes brake line extension, once for the McCruise control and last time for the upgraded stage 1 air filter.
Haha! Now that I know how to remove it I’m going to end up doing more under the tank like upgrading the air filter 👍

Looks like you disconnected the right end of the fuel line, from what I could see the tank end is fixed but the other end has a proper quick disconnect.
Fellow rider told me to disconnect from under but he’s done it several times so he knows the trick to it.
That’s right though! The end I disconnected has the two tabs
Any complaints about only having 5 gears in bf’s sportster? I want the Indian but the sportster is in my price range…. My concern is the 5 gears instead of 6 like the Indian
Not really. I’d just always forget it’s 5 gears since I always rode 6 gears lol he did say several times that the scout is a better bike overall after owning the sportster.
