  • Dress for Success’ second annual Your Hour, Her Power® campaign kicks off March 1 in celebration of Women’s History month and International Women’s Day. This year, Dress for Success is excited to bring back “31 Days of Women in Power” for a second year to inspire hope and resilience among women by honoring groundbreaking women in leadership positions across various industries.
For March 28, we honor Melissa Martin, Vice President of Church and Dwight’s Fabric Care Business Unit, including Arm & Hammer Laundry. In her role, she focuses on aligning efforts to meet the goals of the company while working alongside her colleagues to ensure they feel valued and empowered to grow and learn to achieve their goals. She says, “As women, we tend to juggle and face many different challenges - and this was heightened over the last two years.”
She’s partnering with Dress for Success because she believes, “the workplace needs to be an environment where women can feel empowered to take control of their growth goals and successes. One of the best ways to achieve this is to have the support of other women, just as Dress for Success highlights, and their mission to help women around the world.”
Her biggest piece of advice for women who strive to be leaders and change-makers, “Believe in [your]self. Also, find your passion and work with people who share the same passion... both professionally and personally. There's nothing more powerful than women supporting other women and paving the path to help others realize their passions and succeed.”
By giving the equivalent of just one hour of your pay, you not only give a Dress for Success woman access to programs, services, and tools that will help her achieve economic advancement, but you also join us in celebrating female leaders for the pivotal role they play in driving business and economic gains, and social and cultural change.
