everytime I do the barcode, it's blurry when I transform it?

convert to a smart object before transforming to preserve resolution. My main question about this is the following "is it gonna be recognized by a normal system while being made out of pixels instead of generated vector?"

how come when i use the free transform and drag the arrow down it expands the width instead of it going straight down and creating the actual pattern
