KAZBEK (5 047 m) expedition - Caucasus Georgia climbing [Drone + GoPro]

Climbing Kazbek 5 047 m - the 3rd highest peak in Georgia and 6th highest peak in Caucasus mountains.
Day 1 - Starting from village Stepantsminda (1 740 m) and camping near Gergeti Trinity Church (2 170 m)
Day 2 - From Gergeti Trinity Church through Gergeti glacier to the Base camp - Meteostation Betlemi hut (3 653 m)
Day 3 - Rest day, aclimatization
Day 4 - Summit Day, starting 2:00 AM from base camp, ascent of Kazbek summit (5 047 m) at 10:00 AM, then descent back to the base camp
Day 5 - Small workout in the morning :) Then descent down to Stepantsminda
Camera: DJI mavic air + GoPro Hero 5

Ahoj. Super video, hezké záběry, gratuluji k výstupu! V létě bychom výstup také chtěli zkusit, s takovýmhle výšlapem nemáme zkušenost, většina ještě neměla na nohou ani mačky. Fyzičku máme. Zároveň nemáme moc peněz. Slyšel jsem, že na meteo stanici se dá sehnat průvodce za příznivější peníze, nevíš prosím, co je na tom pravdy?

Ahoj, dakujem :) Myslím, že zohnať sprievodcu nebude problém, výstup v mačkách ale rozhodne odporúčam natrénovať v jednoduchšom teréne, nakoľko sa jedná o serióznu ľadovcovú túru. Prajem veľa šťastia ;)

I would not recommend to climb it as your first mountain. For begining try sommething easier or at least take a mountain guide

Kazbek involves a lot of glacier-walking. If you've never been on a glacier before I would recommend something easier.

For example the guy's home country, Slovakia is a good beginning before you climb mountains like Kazbek. High Tatras is also wild and rocky, the mountains are high enough (mostly around 2300-2500 meters) but there are some peaks which can be climbed on hiking trails. It doesn't mean that it is just walking, there are some climbing situations, enough to get to know your physical conditions at first.
