- In this week's royal round-up Prince Harry accepts the Pat Tilman Award which was surrounded by controversy after a petition was signed by more than 60,000 people to have it revoked.
The Duke of Sussex accepted the award and gave a speech, but some say he was potentially snubbed by Venus Williams at the ceremony, who did not stand up to applaud when Harry's name was called.
Meanwhile, Princess Catherine made another public appearance as she was met with a standing ovation at Wimbledon, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Jersey but were rushed off after a security threat, plus Prince Harry's ‘Spare’ has not been released as a paperback, despite hitting bookshelves 18 months ago.

Harry DID NOT WANT the vets to leave him alone on the stage for the very same reason. In fact, he ORDERED them to stay! Poor folks looked liked they couldn’t WAIT to get off the stage.

I was shocked and disgusted when he spoke about Mary Tillman. If he had wanted to give the award to Invictus he should have handed it to the veterans on stage. Instead he ORDERED them to stay on stage while he spoke, using THEM as armor to shield him from boos. They looked so uncomfortable.

He read the room wrongly. He could of been there to support the organisation for the award accepted by the workers or chief of staff. Therefore the speech no matter what said is void. Even with that said I am sure there are American organisations worthy and the $250000 donation makes the whole thing ridiculous when Megan and Harry's costs to Invictus are far greater. I really wish everyone would stop saying he was on the front line ,he was on a base with a shooting range . He got into a chopper into the front seat, that is where the gunner sit not the pilot. He does not have a pilots license, he was pushed through because of who his family is. That's it. The two of them showing up at that reward show was disgraceful. The speech was nothing but word salad of disrespectful bullshit.
If he was a pilot, he as not kept up his flying hours like William as.
Even if he had a pilots license he’d need to put in ex amount of flying time per year to keep the license. He received an aviation award whilst not having a license, says it all.

Was just saying even if he did have a pilots license, he doesn’t have one now as you have to put in a certain amount of flying time per year to keep your license valid. He received the aviation award while not actually holding a license. I don’t believe he ever flew an Apache, who would put him in charge of a multi million pound aircraft! We’ve never seen him fly unlike William.

I don't blame the Royal Family for not trusting him, I wouldn't either. And, IF, he wants to get back into the thick of things with his family and "forgive" them, I don't see them allowing that either. He has screwed himself by telling "HIS" story. PH and Megsi do not work behind the scene I believe. They show up during the contests, that is all. Nothing about H's speech at the awards was "the right thing". What a load of crock. He should have kept Mary Tillman's name out of his mouth. That was a finger to the Tillman family. Mary Tillman would have been horrified. And as for H "serving on the front line" we all know the truth about that- H 's "service" in the military was all for show and at the risk of his fellow service people's lives. No we don't need to expect to see H. and M.M. at more events like this. They are not wanted and know it.
In my opinion, if the publisher released the paperback whilst 2 members of the Royal family were receiving cancer treatment, they would be vilified. Also, most people who wanted to read it, have done. I was given a discarded copy as I'm an avid reader but wouldn't pay for that book. I gave up after a few pages. I felt it would be a waste of my time, I wasn't convinced of its content veracity, and I felt I was being disloyal to the royal family by reading it.

I think the standing ovation clips on ESPN for Hazbeen at the ESPYs and then Catherine at Wimbledon speak for themselves.
