As Houtarou stated, Geryon's Goldification Ray was by no means perfect. It didn't transform the substance, it just coated it with gold plating. That's why Houtarou was able to move and was able to transmute the Earth by peeling off the plating and using the extracted gold as material. This conclusion could be seen as a disappointing twist, but this is something that has happened in real alchemy too. The attempts to make gold appeared to be successful, but in fact it was just a coating. In other words, it was a failure. But the coating itself gives rise to new uses. There is value in failure. That's just how it is. -And the newly born Gotchardriver is one example of this. This year's final episode-exclusive form: Kamen Rider Gotchard Ultima Steamhopper!! Using the Gotchardriver transmuted by Houtarou instead of the belt entrusted to him by Fuuga Kudou, Hopper1 and Steamliner respond to Houtarou's feelings and combine with him through a human-Chemy multiple transmutation. When Minato consulted with Bandai about the idea of "Houtarou keeps fighting even though his driver is broked", Terakawa from Bandai suggested "Why not try using the Gotchardriver (Daybreak ver.), which we are currently accepting preorders for?!" But it probably works, story wise. A driver identical to Daybreak. A new driver created by the current Houtarou. Does that mean that Daybreak's driver too was...?] I think it's very cool that the Gotchardriver Houtarou transmutes is the Daybreak version. Mrs.Ichinose is such an MVP for figuring out the secret and still letting her boy do what he needs to. Love that we got Rising Fighter playing back for the finale, and I think this ending leaves us some threads for possible V-Cinemas and future stories. I've already said my criticisms on the series before, but I still enjoyed the show (engaging with your reviews really helped, thank you as always for responding). Thank you again for all the reviews for the whole series, looking forward to the new journey with Gavy and I hope to continue commenting along for that new ride.
Love gotchard just straight up having said to geryon "well that's just stagnation and that sucks" about his gold plan Also i was Gonna be so much more mad about the chemies living on a separate planet when gotchard kept saying he wanted the chemies to live among humanity but like the implication is that its temporary so im less mad abt it
Hard to believe the show is over already... They did it again, having a final episode form that's just the base form again. Zero One had Realising Hopper, Saber had Wonder Almighty and now Gotchard has Steamhopper Ultima. Not sure how i feel about this ending, it just sorta is one... AND WE STILL DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE DAD!!! I didn't know that cafe lady was Hopper1's actor, perhaps the man she was with was Steamliner's actor. Speaking of Hopper1; she randomly spoke just before unlocking Crosshopper and never did that again.

I’m going to miss Gotchard and enjoyed most of the episodes. Hopefully we get more content!
