I loved Princess Diana and the bag is gorgeous but functionally wise, if I could only have one, it would have to be the Fendi. Great video!

Dayle, this was quite a stressful video to watch on a Sunday evening haha! I'm so emotionally invested in both bags lol. Am super grateful that you sat down to do this epic video in spite of the heat. So enjoyable to watch! You go into so much detail and I'd love to see more bag comparison videos like this. I have both bags. The Lady Dior was my first love. I have your exact same bag plus a mini Lady. Guess what? They're my least worn bags (even though they're probably my most precious). Total pain to get in and out of and the rigid handles annoy me. Yet she's sublime to look at! I say keep her as a nice evening bag unless you have any other bags on your wishlist and could use the funds for future purchases. Let us know what you decide! Great video Xx

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it, I think they are beautiful bags, so lovely to look at without having any practical use.. but it is a total luxury to buy something just to look at it. I have done some comparisons in the past between the LV Favorite and Pochette Metis, the Chanel WOC vs Mini Rectangular... any other suggestions you might have - I'm open!!

I’m way late to the party! Great overview of the two bags. Both look lovely on you. To my eye, there’s no comparison: The My Lady Dior just wins. I’m happy to see that the comments are full of far more practical people than myself, as it seems like the Fendi gets the popular vote on that count! But for me, the My Lady Dior is just in a different class. Luxe, striking, versatile, elegant (practicality be damned!)
I think you make a very good point - when you get to this point in your collection it’s not about practicality always… beauty and craftsmanship and history are also important! Part of the romance!

Great video!! I have had both bags on my wish list for a couple of years but cannot pull the trigger because I know I don't need both. I'm definitely leaning more towards the peekaboo. I think the Dior is really beautiful to look at but not that functional. For evening I already have a vintage Chanel so feel they would be competing and the Dior will end up sitting on my shelf. The peekaboo is quite versatile so I know I will wear it more often. Thank you for going into so much detail 😊
That was exactly my challenge when choosing the black Peekaboo, I thought it would just compete with the My Lady Dior... and I'm yet to find that out, I guess time will tell. Who knows.... summer isn't really ideal for road-testing black bags (for me anyways so it might be a while before I truely know!)
In my opinion although the bags seem to be similar, I feel that I could justify the differences between the two. For one that quilted Dior is absolutely stunning and feels a little bit more dressy than the peekaboo. However the peekaboo offers slightly more versatility and that it can be dressed up or dressed down. Finally the shape in my opinion is totally different

My ears popped up during this video...thanks for the mention (I think!). I actually also have the red my lady dior with the previous charm style. I didn't realize the new bag didn't have the ability to adjust the strap as much. I agree the lady dior is a PIA to get things in and out of. That Fendi lilac on FP even i've been watching for weeks cuz it is an incredible deal...I'm guessing that color is why they also have it priced low. I've debated the medium lady dior but have yet to pull the trigger with the current price. I really love also the peekaboo iconic essentially with purple interior....yes I'm also a purple lover! :) Great comparison video!

Yes, it was a rude awakening to discover my strap wasn't a long one, Caitlin Pawlowski's is long too so I wasn't very happy to discover how short it is and also that they wouldn't sell me a longer one! I love Natasha. I just started to collect nutcrackers. They are both beautiful bags. I love that the handle can be folded down for storage on the Fendi. Great comparison between the two bags. ❤️😘

One minor tip that I learned from my Dior SA, if you kept the Dior. When attaching the strap, hook it to the rings that don't have the Dior charms on it. Because the strap's hooks can scratch up the charms. Hope that can help!

I love both bags. As far as practicality, I would have to choose the Fendi. I remember where I was when I found out about that horrible crash with Princess Diana. The Lady Dior bag is classy, just like she was.

The My Lady Dior is more beautiful imo but I have learned over time that practicality wins out. I don't have the peekaboo but I have a black nano luggage and a black Abcdior, I worried there would be competition between them (how stupid does that sound, competitive bags 👊 😂) but the nano is my go to bag, looks great, super comfy and carefree and the Dior is a 'special' bag for evenings that don't involve too much alcohol 😳🤪

I don’t have either one but I definitely have an opinion. I also would have chosen the Fendi. This is based upon my lifestyle. I do think the Dior is an exquisite bag but I would never really have an occasion to wear it. I know some people wear this bag casually and look great. I would not be able to rock that look. I’m super casual. If you can afford to keep both and you love them then I say keep both. Whatever you decide just enjoy them. 😉

I love your Peekaboo...I have always had a peekaboo on my wishlist, but was afraid of the Nappa leather, yours look much less prone to wear and tear... I do agree Lady Dior is probably much less functional than Peekaboo, but then it’s such an iconic bag, as a bag lover I would never be able to part with it... hope you keep yours too... yours seems to be pretty much the same one Lady Di was photographed with many many times🥰
The Selleria style with Romano leather is a much less scratch proof option and it has feet to protect the bottom also. I’m keeping the Dior... you’re right, it’s iconic 🤗

Wonderfully thorough review, Dayle! You know I'm constantly considering Lady Dior bags, so this was helpful! Dior has such a whimsical/ladylike feel. I assume the Lady Dior will go up in price next year, so the preloved market will get a bump too. Plus yours would likely sell for more than the original button badge version. I haven't finished this season of the Crown, so no one tell me if the Lady Dior makes an appearance haha. If it's ever included, I think we'll continue to see huge jumps in popularity (which will drive up demand and the preloved price). I've gone back and forth with the Lady Dior, but I think I'll always want one in my collection ❤️

Very good video! I can see how the handles could be very annoying, do you find that they get floppy when you’re using the bag? And honestly no one has shown how they don’t actually lay down flat on the side of the bag.....
Hi Crysann - they don't flop about when you wear the bag, the way you attach the strap means they stay upright, it makes it tricky for storage too if you don't have high shelves as the handles need to stay upright. She's pretty but she isn't the most practical :)

I have both bags in the next size up. If I could only choose one it would be the peekaboo because I wear it more. However the lady is so luxurious and beautiful I would not sell her. Knowing how much you love and appreciate handbags, I predict you will keep yours as well. 🥰

I tried my Mac book air in my medium peekaboo for you and because the mouth of the bag is smaller than the bottom, it would not fit. I generally leave the spangles done up but even if I undid the spangles it still doesn’t fit. 😉

It depends on your lifestyle, however for most people I think the peekaboo will serve you better as an everyday all occasions bag much better than the lady. That said, the lady in lambskin is one of the most luxurious bags I own. You should keep it on your list for after you have an everyday option imo.
I recently bought the same lady dior. But now I realized i wish i bought the channel boy bag... any thoughts? Should i return? Or maybe is there a another color thats better for lady dior ?
If you are unsure and you have the option to return for a refund I would! Then if you want to buy it again later you can or you have the option to buy something else!
Is there a difference in weight between the two? Are they heavy or light after a few hours?
Which one holds up better long term? Will the peekaboo sag over time?
How will the dior lambskin hold up over time?
These are all great questions! The peekaboo is lighter! In the longer term.... I hesitate to guess as they are both sparingly used at this time, but if I had to, I’d say the peekaboo will wear better with frequent use!

The bags are very different. I feel like the Fendi is more sportive and the Lady Dior is more formal, evening... so hard to give up the Lady Dior unless you don’t think you will use it.

One of the issues with the Napa peekaboo is that it doesn’t have feet, I’m unsure why 🤷🏻♀️
It’s a beautiful feeling leather but I have never really looked that closely at it to give a firm opinion I’m sorry.
Don’t sell the Lady Dior!!! Maybe it’s not so usable, but it’s such a special piece!! And the Lady Diana factor!! Keep it❤️❤️❤️

I love the Fendi in black so much, specially the stitching. It is modern however it has the vintage look which I love. I don’t like the Dior at all, it’s very impractical at least for me, I find it a bit too old lady like I guess. I never liked princess Diana ‘s style anyway. I prefer Fendi over Hermes any day as I find the brand too pretentious and their bags are not cute! Your Fendi is timeless, I should start putting money aside to buy that 😉

I ❤️ the Lady Dior and want to include it in my collection but just don't think I will grab it from the shelf. I've been seriously considering the Peekaboo, but find the price steep and the resale value low.
I honestly think about how much I’ll wear it rather than what I could sell it for, it’s easier to decide that way.
The Fendi one is more useful, in my opinion, and the design is just a classic! Lady Dior is pretty but, again, in my opinion, a bit too tacky looking. Just my opinion! Really like both bags, but I’d rather have the Fendi one. It much more my style.

watching this old video. Hope you didn't sell your lady dior. even though they look similar, they also look so different to me. Fendi one looks more casual while the dior one looks more princessy (reminds of Princess diana)..I have the mini lady dior in lavender and its sooo useless in terms of capacity. also, my lifestyle is very casual and I hardly get to use it. However, I dont see myself ever selling it. Just looking at the bag every time gives me so much happiness..
I sold it - I have no regrets, it just wasn't for me lovely :)

I'm 5'4 190 pound perfect size 12 and I crossbody my abc lady dior just fine, you must be above 5'6
My version of the My Lady Dior ABC has a much shorter strap for some reason. The newer ones have the same strap length as the badged version which is perfect.
