I've probably done at least 100 virtualbox installs but I wish I had had this video to watch when I first started. I'll be using this resource for people to ask me about it! Keep explaining Gary!
Loading various OSes in VirtualBox has become a hobby. I watch DistroTube and follow along with my own install. I liked all the ancient OSes you have installed. OS/2, Solaris, XP...
At over 70, I am trying to get up the nerve to do some virtual boxes and learn some Linux... particularly, POP OS. I have looked everywhere for some time for an in-depth vid like yours. How wonderful!!! Thanks so much fore all your efforts. This is just what I needed for the encouragement to go forward!!!
Thanks for the straightforward video. I'm just starting my intro to Linux/Unix online course and this will be great to use instead of having to rely entirely on the college's server. Thanks again for the vid.

I moved all my "work" and hobbies to a Virtualbox Virtual Machine (VM), because it avoids compromises between hardware support and user work-flow. My Host-OS takes care of the adaptation to the AMD Ryzen hardware and to dual monitors and work spaces, while the Virtual Machines (VM) are optimized for office + email or banking or jukebox or experiments. I run the same VMs on laptop and desktop and run an incremental backup weekly, so on the road I have exactly the same installation as on my desktop at home.

Thanks for the guide. Just a correction on the pronunciation of Ubuntu: the first syllable is the same as the first one in 'oorah' (as the yanks say). The emphasis is on the second syllable, as you're already doing, so the 'oo' sound is still said in the same amount of time it takes to say 'yoo' and with the exact same emphasis.
I have a little issue in the options that make it not even boot. It's says that i have an invalid setting, which is the hardware acceleration, it is supposed to be disabled but it's enable and i can't turn it off.
It says that i cant accept the configuration because the virtual machine in settings is activated and when i deactivate it it still does like if it was still activated

You mean like dual boot a virtual machine or do you mean can you setup multiple virtual machines in virtual box? If it is the latter then I don't know of an actual limit (there might be) but basically how much disk space you have. Running several machines simultaneously depends on how much memory you have and the power of your processor.
