Thank you Miss, this is what I was waiting for, it would be really helpful if you could potentially make the flashcards or just qs we could derive from the apparatus table, that would be v useful
What resources can we use to research for flash card for apparatus and techniques, where will we find them like how to measure volume can it just be general or specific to what AQA has said, if so where do we find what AQA states how to measure volume for example xx
Great video, thank you. Quick question, what to do as a private candidate, I'm struggling on what angle to take at the minute. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hey, maybe check out my resit video (it has advice for students not currently studying with a school), or you might find joining my Biology Study Club really helpful for resources, motivation and community vibes missestruchbiology.mykajabi.com/biology-study-club-launch-week
I just found out that we get asked about practical skills in our biology alevels, but i was wondering if we need to know each required practical off by memory and know every little detail, or is it just being able to apply certain practical skills like calculations into application questions?
It's a bit of both. You need to know everything on the apparatus and techniques table. Within that table it then states some techniques (meaning methods) you need to know. Such as sampling, aseptic technique, chromatography and microscopy. So you need to know methods for those (not with exact volumes or liquids).
So uno how in chemistry we learn the practical methods since they ask them in the exam . Is this the same for bio so like it asks how a student would conduct an experiment ? If I just learn the apparatus techniques will that be enough ?
Hello, thanks for this. I was wondering if you know if we could be tested on other required practicals that aren't on the advanced info? If so would they just be small mark questions? Thank you
These are all still relevant, only difference this year is it could be ANY practical as there's bo advanced information. I'll see if can get something together!
if you look on the advanced information list, it has the required practical next to each topic of which paper it will come up in (3,6 and 1 are on paper 1, 9 is paper 2 and 2 is paper 3)
Aslo Miss, the prac booklet loooks rlly good, it wuld be so useful, thank you so muchh. Ws just wondering are the qs in order of the pracs? was just asking so it could be easier to find the qs on the adv info list
Here is how to revise practicals! A second video will be coming soon in which I talk through each required practical coming IP in exams 2022

Hi miss, i cant find the practical questions on the resources part of the website? is it gone?
Hey, I have taken this down as it was specific for the 2022 exams only.
Great video, thank you. Quick question, what to do as a private candidate, I'm struggling on what angle to take at the minute. Any advice would be appreciated.

If we make flashcards using your required practical videos, will that cover everything we need to know (including the apparatus)?
In the advanced info are the required practicals you stated definitely coming up? So do we also need to revise the other ones in case
yes they definitely are, it's on the advance information

some of the techniques require a method, e.g. chromatography and using eyepiece graticule
Is the practical skills exam qs still available to download on your site? I cant find it
hey afraid not, thay was specific to the advanced info for 2022
Hello, thanks for this. I was wondering if you know if we could be tested on other required practicals that aren't on the advanced info? If so would they just be small mark questions? Thank you
Youre welcome 😊 No, but other general practical skills could.
we've been told our exam is on respiration releases energy in biological processes so what techniques would apply?
Legend
Thank you!
Can you make a 2023 version?
