Not quite the complete recording but very nice to hear it in the clear. It's a dixieland arrangement of Rossini's "William Tell Overture" performed by The National Press Club and Allied Workers Jazz Band. There is one episode which I have on tape that shows it playing through to the end (beneath dialogue). Unfortunately, I don't recall which one it is at the moment.
Unfortunately the only album The National Press Club and Allied Workers Jazz Band put out had a recording of this arrangement from a live setting, and so it was not a hi-fi version of the recording we are all familiar with that they used for the show. That was real disappointing as I had to order that special from the National Press Club. I suspect the show had them do a recording session especially for the production. It would be great to have the audio tape of this recording session digitized and uploaded sometime. That's probably a long shot, though.
