I noticed on voice receive that audio coming from the repeater had a slight clicking in it. I wonder if that clicking was the switching between the APRS channel and the repeater channel i was monitoring. Understanding the radio does that would certainly explain that behavior.
We haven’t noticed any clicking but it is very susceptible to out of band noise and interference in the power line. As we understand it once a channel opens it will stop scanning until the squelch closes and then resume scanning in the background again.
Ok. I will keep using the radio and see if it continues to clicks or if maybe it was just where I happened to be at that time. I have only had the radio for a week now and have mostly worked APRS with it.
It’s not something I’ve tried. I believe e there’s a way with Android but I’ve never had the need to pre load a large amount of memories on any radio I use. With only 16 available to be active at once I’ve always just programmed via the app the 16 I’m most likely to use/want to use on my “next” trip.
As of right now, the iOS app doesn’t do networking channels. It’s got to do with the way the app developer chose to get audio in/out if the device. The method they chose was poor and a bit of a kludge that’s not workable on iOS. It’s the same reason the phone can’t be used as the speaker/mic on iOS.
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO !!! :)
No problem

Great video. Do you know if you can import frequencies from a file or do some kind of air drop?

Is there a way to flash the BTECH GMRS Pro (same HT as this one) with the firmware from the VR-N75?
I have no experience with the handhelds sorry.
Where do you get the Beta app from? I would like to test out the Android version.
The app has now been generally released so the Beta is not needed.
Hi, do you happen to know if the BS HT app allows you to join a network channel like the android app does? Thanks

Thanks for the speedy reply, well I guess my bud will have to use an old android in the middle and hotspot from his apple.
@@HubbHubbs if networking channels is what you’re after, yes. I don’t use them personally as I bought the rug for it’s APRS features.
Hi, do you know why the iOS app has not the PTT instead the Android version has it ?
Because the iOS app doesn’t pass audio to/from the radio via the app.
Ok thanks
Do you Think that in the future it Will be possible ?
@@danieleasnaghi8246 you would have to reach out to the developers and ask.
