There’s nothing like being in Gods creation and enjoying what he has given unto us this is the best therapy for anyone who is looking for some time-out nice buck
I just like being in nature when I deer hunt...I don't need nor do I want to appeal to bronze age peasant superstitions. I really wish I could watch something without seeing comments like you made. It's tiresome and boring, not to mention morally reprehensible. Thanks though!
You can hunt over bait in any state. If your state is no bait you can still do it just do it more wisely. For example if take iron spikes and push them into the ground close to root system of a White Oak Tree the iron will trigger a bumper crop of acorns! You didn’t bait but you put the Deer 🦌 where you want them! This how to legally get it done!!Enjoy !
Yep good deer . You have a good spot their. You have a Seminol doe around your property. Thay come in to heat mid to late September/ early October. My buddy has a few of the around his property other backside of lake oconee. Every year the last week of bow season to the first week of gun season he will see Ruth action on camera and from the lower wet lands. If you ck out the rut Charts around deep south Georgia and Florida the rut starters up around that time every year. Good luck, and thanks for sharing. I to am a Georgia hunter.
Great buck! I got into a new lease in Georgia and the property is surrounded by wma which is horse creek. Is it a good area? I used to hunt in cuthbert
I’ve heard of it but haven’t hunted it myself yet. I did look up the harvests from the last couple of years. It averages around 100-120 deer killed a year with around 500 or so hunters so not a bad ratio of about 1 harvest per 5 hunters which would be around a 20% success rate. Based on that I’d say it would definitely be on my radar, even more so if it was close to the house. Good luck this coming year.
Good work! You could see him duck the arrow. All the folks calling this a poor shot obviously haven’t spent much time hunting outside of video games. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it.
im a hunter and i can tell you that was a bad shot it was to far back and a bit high (granted the deer flinched so that could account for the shot being high but doesnt account for the shot being so far back (away from the heart and lungs ) that being said maybe you should spend less time criticizing others
I hit one just like that, he was flipping around, I put 3 more into him, I had to pull one out to finish him, field dressed him, when up the hill to get help, they said you turned him into a pin coushing, 95 percent of deer die a miserable death. Tragedy's in the woodland. 198? popular mag.
No offense meant, but what about this constitutes a good shot? Spine shooting a deer is awful, and they suffer quite a bit. I'm glad you got your deer, but to those who say good shot - I mean, really?
Aim lower! Deer will almost always go down with anything over ten yards. A deer can duck 18 inches in three tenths of a second. Your arrow is only traveling at 1/3rd the speed of sound. When that deer started to go down it had heard your bow go off, and long before impact. Plus if you was just a little lower you would have only wounded the deer.
I was a few inches high on the shot, definitely not my best. Anyone who has hunted for a while can agree no matter how much you practice you’ll never been perfect.
@@averagesportsmanoutdoors I've hunted deer for over 40 years. Learned a long time ago that deer go down to get ready to jump from the sound of a bow going off. Also I never shot at a deer over 25 yards, after I watched a deer duck my arrow at 28 yards and I had my 25 yard pin on it. By the way I was shooting a bow with a overdraw on it. If you don't know what that is it allows you to shoot a arrow shorter and thinner than your regular draw length. Basically my arrows were zipping right along. My normal draw was 29.5 with a 2117 xx75s at 68lbs, I was shooting 26.5 inch 2113 xx75s at 68lbs after putting the overdraw on. A four inch shorter arrow and three thousands thinner wall. I only ever lost one deer that I didn't recover, "and it was a good hit" at 18 yards. I hit the shoulder on the exit side and never found a drop of blood, and I looked 2.5 hours that night and 4 hours the next morning because I knew the deer would die. A week later a guy that was hunting another woods found it. Practice is the key, knowing how they react is essential for good success.
@@edarnold1426 Cody, as with all advice, take what you need and leave the rest behind. Shooting low has just as many faults as it does pro's. You aim low and the deer doesn't drop, now you have a gut shot. I'm 54 and I've seen em drop, jump and just stay standing stiff as a board. My advice is aim true. But like I said about advice, take what you need and leave the rest behind. Nice buck. Keep on enjoying yourself in the outdoors like you seem to be.
@@revolution2009E-7 Cody if you happen to see the last reply. "As he said take all advice with a grain of salt and use what you can". Then please tell me how your going to get a gut shot shooting low??? The worst that could happen is that you would miss the deer if it didn't drop. On any ethical shot which is about 30 yards with a bow! If you have seen deer jump, they had to go "down" in order to jump! "The old saying 50 to 70 years ago" "and before they ever did video hunts on deer," was that they jumped a arrow, however after watching deer on video they found out that deer have got to drop every time in order to jump, which using common sense anyone should be able to figure out, because "people have got to do the same thing". A deer can drop a full body height in 3 tenths of a second. Now if you have a bow shooting 300 fps it is only running about 1/3 the speed of sound. So at 30 yards that deer has already heard your bow go off when your arrow is about 10 yards from your bow and has plenty of time to be dropping for that jump the everyone saw before videoing them. So another tip that I will give you watch some old VHS videos on deer hunting. I read and watched as much on whitetail deer as I could. I did read things earlier that just didn't hold water, like deer didn't move when the wind was blowing 30 to 40 mile an hour. The very first deer that I ever shot during gun season was in a 35 to 40 mph gusts on a cold Thanksgiving morning, and over 40 years ago, and I saw that buck following my scent trail before I ever had my gun in my hands after climbing into my stand. I was so excited that I hit the gun barrel on the tree taking it off my shoulder, but the wind was blowing so hard the the deer never noticed the bang of the 870 hitting the tree. By the way, regardless of weather, deer have still got to eat, breed and carry on with life just like we do. They do adjust to different patterns just like we do.

Nice , thanks for a great hunt without all the blah blah blah . This is like field and streams words come to life .
God bless , a hunter in VT
nice buck and shot. always good when theres not tracking involved. thanks for sharing
Did you have fun? Exactly. Looks like you did alright. Congrats. Nice little practice chase scene. All that's left is cooking the onions.
It's amazing how fast they can try to out jump a arrow they don't even know is coming. Congratulations
Nice buck 🦌 , congratulations
Congratulations!! Dang I’m a Ga hunter myself and I can’t believe that buck was chasing those does around like that already!
It really surprised me, I was honestly planning on taking that doe in the frame just before the chase. Hunts can completely change in a second.

Me too but I picked up a limb and finished him off . Broad heads and arrows are expensive for that .
Good one congrats! What were you shooting?
This was a Hoyt Ventum 33,
65 Pound Draw
29.5” Draw length
Trophy Ridge React Trio Pro
Maxima Red arrows
350 spine
Rage No Collar Hypodermics 125gr.
