It has been four days since Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi died. Today, he was laid to rest in his hometown Mashhad, after a three-day long funeral. Theories surrounding Raisi's chopper crash are circulating wide in Iran. While investigations into the matter are underway, some Iranians believe that the US should be held accountable for the crash. Iran's former foreign minister has said that Washington is a "culprit" in Raisi's death. Since the revolution, Iran has been under Western sanctions - which have blocked Tehran's access to modern aircraft. Notably, Raisi was travelling in an American chopper, albeit one that was manufactured 45 years ago. Palki Sharma brings you the full report.

They were flying above the fog with the other two choppers that one helicopter had a malfunction they had to go down, now! Fog or no fog ! helicopters need a flat surface to land on, with no friggin trees, if you can’t see the ground because of the fog, then you’re gonna crash ! That landmark and bipartisan legislation authorizes the Secretary of State to deny passports and visas to any individuals involved in illegal organ trafficking-in China and globally.” Furthermore, the bill mandates annual reporting by the State Department on forced organ harvesting globally, and authorizes sanctions for individuals and entities that facilitate organ harvesting.
“Silence is unacceptable-particularly from medical associations and corporations. If they remain silent, they are the most at risk of complicity in a crime against humanity,” concluded Smith, adding, “If we don’t act now, many more lives will be lost.”
