Course Objectives: Review the types of leukemia seen in childhood and general epidemiology; Recognize the clinical presentation childhood leukemia and identify “red flag” features; Outline the diagnostic evaluation for suspected leukemia; Identify oncologic emergencies that can be present in newly diagnosed leukemia; Describe general treatment strategies and late effects caused by treatment.
