    Thank you. 5 years ago I paid over $400 to replace the rubber (only the rubber) wrist strap on a RW 8300.

    Also just by reading the inside of the strap being replaced it has a good chance it will already say 16, 18, 20, 22, 24mm...,

    I have a question regarding lug size, I came across two watches and one said 22mm lugs,then another said 44mm lug to lug. im wondering if they are adding both lug sizes together as i'm just not sure.....

    • @robmontana4971
      @robmontana4971 4 роки тому +2

      stuart brown I would guess that the watch case is actually 44 mm and that the lug width is 22 mm. I haven’t yet come across a watch that had a lug width of 44 mm - inside edge to inside edge.

    In the first watch with 22mm lug width, could you potentially use a 20mm strap instead?

    • @Thestrapsmith
      @Thestrapsmith  5 років тому

      Yes, you could if you are okay with a gap showing slightly.

    I have a Casio diver. It says it’s a 22 online. If I bought a 20 NATO strap would that not fit well or look good?
    I found a rare Goldfinger Bond NATO, it’s only available in 20.

    • @Thestrapsmith
      @Thestrapsmith  5 років тому

      Hi, you will certainly be able to use a 20mm NATO strap on a watch with 22mm lugs but it'll have a gap for sure.

    • @Thestrapsmith
      @Thestrapsmith  6 років тому

      Hi, the best bet would be to take it to a jeweler to have him remove the glass to get an accurate measurement or send it to the manufacture.

      You can, but I personally don't like the empty space. even if it's 1mm. I had a watch and it's belt was 21mm. When I changed it I used 22mm.
