I'm a single senior with a little dog (of course)..and this model is perfect to run the roads between visiting all my children and grandchildren..Thank you for sharing such a versatile and efficient design.
I’ve lived two years with the Thetford Curves porta potty and it is easy to use and easy to dump anywhere. So simple. I like this Winnebago. If I were single I’d look twice at it.
The toilet/ shower section, plus the 20 gal. LP tank, and the almost double bed size (75” by 53”) sells it for me. Not to forget the 4 passenger capacity with seat belts.
Amy is more in tune with the solo liveaboards who want to travel and/or work than anyone else in the large RV mfg industry. The fact that they went with the Ecoflow vendor to incorporate a solution for off-the-grid power is a step in the right direction. Obviously demanding solo travelers want a little bit more, like more solar panels up on top, larger battery capacity and maybe 4wd/awd but that costs more, in some cases way more. I would be happy modifying this design a bit by replacing the a/c with a smaller roof fooprint, more panels and batteries. Plus all terrain tires.
Some very smart ideas implemented here! Won't be giving up the full time 80" and 72" beds in my Travato K for that puzzle bed. I can see the appeal for those who want a lot in a smaller chassis though. Well done Winnebago. This should be a big seller!
I also think this will be a big seller for them. I think this will be perfect for day trips to the kids games or weekend getaway trips. The K is ou favorite floorplan, but like you said for a s.aller coach they have come up with some very smart ideas. Safe travels!
It is nice to see RV companies getting on with the Lithium Batteries. This model is not that much different than the Rize and the Scope which all these ( new floor plans) are basically Haymer Ideas like the Carado. I am looking for an RV and I like Class B for many reasons it is nice to see more and more coming up, especially with the power availabilities without relays on loud and not reliable Generators. Good videos ,Thank you
I love how this van is equipped! My brother and his wife and I have talked about either having one of these or renting one to see if we like it. I love traveling but am not savvy at all the complexity of a regular RV plus I don’t think I really need the large rvs. It’s just me. I do artwork on locations and this would be helpful in spending time at one place doing art of the area. I’m going to look into this van and see if it’s an affordable option for me. Thank you for featuring this.
This would be a great van for a solo RVer and should be a very simple to operate and take care of. We like the size of it and how easy it will be to maneuver and get into spots that other RVs won't be able. We think renting a van before you buy is a great way to go!
Hi Stan, we haven't used the Tetford yet ourselves, so I appreciate your feedback. We heard from others at the show who liked it as well. Thanks again!
Love this design for me. Lounge are WITH chaise is a game changer... even have seating for 4 WITH seatbelts... Thanks for showing that in DETAIL. Wish it didn't have gas, but I just won't use it, but some people like that. Wish cassette on toilet had wheels?--and u could change it out if it doesn't fit it needs!Very thoughtful & efficient design.
We realky like it too! A lot of thought and customer feedback went into this van build. For such a small van it is very comfortable and is now offered with a pop top for additional sleeping space.
We think the same! I can see this van being a hit with solo RVers or for a couple who is looking for a weekender van or a vehicle to take kids to their sporting events
@@MovingForwardAdventures I have an Ekko which I absolutely love that has some very clever features . What this new creation represents is a very well thought out use of space and versatility for different applications. Never stop innovating. Lee
Glad you like! UA-cam doesn't allow image stabilizer to be used when going live, but I did just purchase a gimbal for our phone for all future live videos.
Nice work Amy, really love this design. If it was just the wife and I, we would very likely get this. Were now in the market for the PX. I hope some of these innovations (especially the lithium) make it over to the PX.
I think Winnebago really tries to listen and make changes based on their customer feedback and it shows. Aimee did great! She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these RVs. I will be sure to give Belle a hug for you!
Loving this model, and with the addition of a bathroom, hot water, and lithium this is now at the top of my list, but there are no specs yet on the Winnebago website to fully decide. How long with the AC run without being plugged in to shore power? what is the inverter power? Also how high is the van? I really wish someone would manufacture a van with similar bells and whistles that would fit into a garage!
oops - you snuck an estimate in there on the AC hours! Three hours wouldn't get me through the night....Does the engine kick on to recharge the battery like the travato?
These are really just my guesses of how long it will run. I hope to be able to test one for myself. The size of this RV is much smaller than what I'm used to and Aimee the product planner said the bathroom door can be closed to make the cabin area even smaller and easier to cool, which could possibly extend run time on the AC. Winnebago was supposed to specs out yesterday, I'm not sure why it didn't happen. I found this on their website, but it's more general info about the camper and not really specs www.winnebago.com/insider/product/solis-pocket-36b/upcoming/camper-van
What I thinking is they can just put a small window kind of AC in a Van, because it doesn't need too much battery to power it up, I tested one small window AC in My Van, running almost 2 hours with a 2000w inverter, two of 6v golf cart batteries drop from 13.5V to 12.5V only when at the same time I have 200w solar panels charging it, if you added more solar panels and more battery amps, I think it's no problem to run the AC all night.
I really hope this van is priced affordable. I am 61 years old and would LOVE to own one of these!!!! It's a perfect, thoroughly thoughtful design! Bravo!!!❤
As far as vans go, I do believe this is a good value. I am seeing them on dealer lots for around 120K I know that is a lot of money, but compared to other van builds this is actually reasonable.
@@MovingForwardAdventures @MovingForwardAdventures Just 1 year ago, the Pocket 36A's were on dealer lots for $80K. How is this van, which is still on the Promaster 1500, on dealer lots for $120K??? That's a 50% PRICE INCREASE IN 1 YEAR. Just absolutely ridiculous IMO. Inflation alone doesn't explain that kind of increase! I am NO longer interested. There are Solis 59P's on dealer lots, at this moment for $90K and those are on the slightly bigger Promaster 2500 chassis. Seems like Winnebago is "jumping the shark" by putting an MSRP of $150K on these. Even the Airstream Rangeline has a lower MSRP. Sheesh!
I just checked and you are right the 59P's are on dealer lots for 90K, that's a great price! I also double checked for the 36B and couldn't find a price, they all said coming soon, so I must have been looking at 36A prices which are around 110K to 120k not sure why they are selling for so much more than the 59P. I would imagine the 36B will sell for the same price as the 36A. Right now the 36B is at the top of our list of vans to purchase, so hopefully they do price in closer to the 59P of under 100k point.
I contacted a dealship they claim to be a mile away from the winniebago factory, they quoted to me 130k. TBH, 130k make you have more good options but this model, 17’11 length is its strength and also its weakness!

Is good and intelligent plan for the space, but travel 4 or 5 but sleep 2. Maybe is good if adding a roof pop up bed. How much is the $$$and. Are We have the option for dry toilet?
Great unit but I have a feeling this is another one of those situations where you're paying more and getting less and I just can't wrap my head around that.
That didn't tell us the price yet, but said it will come in at a lower price point than most other vans on the market, which knowing the van market could still mean it's pricey.
@MovingForwardAdventures I have to modify that. I hate the bath. But I really like that sofa arrangement. It reminds me of the Thor Rize, I think. It is about the same size. I like their Sequence with the similar floor plan. I want the Winnebago sofa, their customer support, and quality construction, but the Thor floorplan. It has the bath in the rear. Thor's sofa looks majorly uncomfortable. I would be a solo traveler thus I want the Winnebago bed.
I guess you flush the toilet then start dumping it while in mid flush. The container only holds 5 gallons. I've never used one, but friends of ours that have them love them
When we had the wet bath in the Winnebago Travato we would wipe the bath area down with a dry tow and leave the bathroom vent open for the first part of our drive. We have spike to others who own vans with wet baths and don't do either of things and don't seem to have an issue, but we thought better safe than sorry
@@MovingForwardAdventures That's great to hear for us taller guys (6'4" in my case), as I do like the smaller sized van footprint. @@MovingForwardAdventures Thanks, I couldn't see how it drains from the video. Looks like a nice van. I also like the longer version with the murphy bed in the back. Very smart engineering for both versions. The lack of a handle and wheels for the cassette is the only downside I see. I imagine it could be heavy to carry when mostly full. No generator? AC with AGM batteries? Idle the engine to run AC or live without it if unable to plug into shore power?
I think the cassette could also get heavy. You can only operate the AC with the lithium package, it won't work with only the AGM batteries, so like you said you would just have to go without or run the engine for the dash AC which may not be strong enough to cool entire van in high heat areas
@@MovingForwardAdventures So the van alternator is not strong enough to run the rooftop AC? Everything has compromises. How about a portable 2000 watt generator outside the van?
With the lithium package it includes a second high output alternator, but without that package you only get the standard vehicle alternator which is not strong enough for the rooftop AC unit. You could hitch up a generator to the back of the van, but it could become a hassle to open your rear doors and we do seem to open those doors often to grab supplies
This is a great copy of the THOR 17 footer, HOWEVER, they forgot to put the toilet into a cassette fixed..........also the counter top is only made of PAPER (this I learned the hard way) its like paper tissue when any water drip down.........literally. The factory radio was its biggest failure most manufacturers have now replaced the radio with an upgrade....................This unit without upgrades should be $55,000, its built very cheaply!
Some don't want one... So, I'd bring my own, a small one that will fit in cabinet. Or learn other ways to reheat leftovers - like a dutch oven or stove top.@@MovingForwardAdventures

Nice but how much 😊
Is that at behind u? Microwave?
Is that a TV behind u?
There is no microwave in this unit, all cooking would have to be done on the stove top.
Wish you knew the price
This was filmed before the van was in production. Starting MSRP is now listed on their website for 150K
@@MovingForwardAdventures- so a potential buyer should be able to get one for around 120k.
Hi Patrick, Yes, I am seeing them for 117K to 119K on dealer lots. General RV and National Indoor RV Centers seem to have the best prices on them.
Needs a cassette toilet and underbody propane...it's not like there is a rear axle in the way!
wow
No fridge?
There is a fridge to the left of the sliding door. This way you can access it from inside or outside of the van
@@MovingForwardAdventures thanks for the reply. Really like the van
If you’re familiar with the p and px,your good otherwise you’re out.
We like this model more than the P and PX, but yes it's not going to be for everyone.
Where's the refrigerator
It is under the stove top by the sliding door. This way, you can access it from outside of the van.
Where is the microwave
This is a great copy of the THOR 17 footer, HOWEVER, they forgot to put the toilet into a cassette fixed..........also the counter top is only made of PAPER (this I learned the hard way) its like paper tissue when any water drip down.........literally. The factory radio was its biggest failure most manufacturers have now replaced the radio with an upgrade....................This unit without upgrades should be $55,000, its built very cheaply!
A brand new empty Promaster 1500 cargo van is $50K.
Wrong
Have to have TV what do i do
where is the tv?
No generator , no microwave . Are you kidding?
Honestly we are not a fan of generators and are glad to see it out of this unit, however a microwave would be nice.
Some don't want one... So, I'd bring my own, a small one that will fit in cabinet. Or learn other ways to reheat leftovers - like a dutch oven or stove top.@@MovingForwardAdventures
I would bith 5 kw bater 1 too 5 kw feneratirs
Can we please stop calling a 17 foot van a 'coach'
I typically call them Class B vans, but we are ok with you calling them whatever you like
Puzzle bed is not for me. At the end of a long day driving or being busy the last thing I want to do is make up a puzzle and put sheets on it. No thanks.
I don’t like the table!!!
You don't have to use it in tips open position, we don't care for it when it's expanded to seat four
Y
Need s TV!
Why is the table smashing into the countertop when it's unfolded? This doesn't seem like great quality control.
I will have to rewatch the video again, but I know it needs to extend all the way to the countertop to sit in place
