I am 57 yrs old. I have not painted or drawn since I left school at 16. Your videos have given me some ideas and confidence to try to create my own art. You are my inspiration.
I can tell that you are a teacher at heart (I am too), I love your instructions and the way you explain your thought process. It is incredibly helpful for beginners like me!
We just moved into a new house in the woods. I am finding so many beautiful leaves, and I’ve been drying them in silica and in books, and I’ve got so many gorgeous leaves. Now I totally inclined to use your video as a guide, and finally put them in a painting.
So excited you did this and used real leaves. I have so many dried leaves from memories with my dad , who died a few years back. Now ZI have a very fine way to use them!!!

Oh my, it wasn't until you lifted the piece closer to the camera and lightly tilted it back and forth, that I was able to really see the depth the shading for the leaves gave. They look as if it's 3D. Yes I love the entire piece and watching the whole process 😍 And all the texture oh my yes. It's Just brilliant 🤩
This is my ultimate and most brilliant favourite as I just love leaves and flowers!! I'm forever collecting and even my small grandchildren collects and are using it for their crafts. Granddaughter of 6years had a "market-day" at school and used my dried (some were painted) leaves, stems and flowers to make 100 gorgeous Christian-bookmarks and was sold out!! She loves your tutorial, thank you!!!

Today I went to the mountains, I live in Colorado USA, the Rocky Mountains and collected many beautiful Aspen leaves to play around with, along with enjoying my day out. I’m inspired by this and your one with the birch trees which look remarkably like aspens , at least the trunks, thank you so much for all your beautiful work, you inspire me!

Beautiful result, I liked that you used more than one gold colour on the leaves, made them more naturel. Question, do you spray varnish over a finished piece? Thought it may help keep the leaves stuck down and preserved. And if you do/don't can you explain reasons. Thank you for sharing this and showing how you work, it was very interesting to see.
Thank you very much for your kind words! 🙏🍁🧡 Yes, I’m going to add 2-3 layers of varnish; I was planning to use resin first, but now I think that varnish would work better to preserve the 3D effect 😊

Did you add any silicone in your black swiping paint? Also, do you seal this?
I added two drops of coconut oil serum and will seal it with varnish 🥰
