You're missing out on El Toro which even in it's rougher state is still amazing. The hydraulic launch Intamins were neat concept rides but in operation they were a nightmare, they required more maintenance than other launched coasters, they were more expensive because of that, and even Intamin has moved to LSM launches and away from hydraulic because it was more complicated and more prone to breaking. Dragster got remodeled with an LSM launch, but maybe Six Flags (which is now CF + SF) seeing all the issues with TT2 decided it's just not worth the downtime and expense it would take to have possibly 2 remade Intamin accelerator coasters causing problems.
Well said. While I’m glad I got to ride it a few times, for me it wasn’t my favorite coaster…a one-trick pony in my book. Zumanjaro, however, I felt offered a more frightening experience…and at least you could enjoy the view longer 😛. That all said, the removal of this many attractions is disheartening. As you stated, I also felt the last visit how mismatched the park felt…I remember when years ago there were so many rides, shows, and things to see and do…I know they have the land, and would love to see them develop it into a true resort destination.
GA isn’t even a shell of its former self. Ever since El Toro was added the park has seemed like a charity case. Up till El Toro the park had something special about it. Not sure how to explain it but there was always excitement leading up to walking into the gates. Last few times I have been there I felt like “oh ok here we are almost like being forced to go through with it
Cut from this video is my Zumanjaro experience this year - was sat and secured for my first ever ride and it broke down just as we were about to lift. It never ran since 😞 I am hoping GA can work out dome of their maintenance issues as It seems saving money in every area is taking priority where the rides and guests suffers the effects.
I feel like the new coaster is going to be a gimmick and a huge let down. Look aT the last few coasters this park has received all cookie cutter. We need something on Fury 325 scale. And who is to say this new coaster will even be on KK land. The new coaster can end up only on what GL sits on now and they leave KK area alone for future “improvements”.
All they need to do is a fury 325 Caliber giga because no Park north east of VA has a giga but “record breaking launch coaster” is likely to disappoint
It is kind of scary because on one hand I totally trust Cedar Fair to replace it with something amazing. On the other hand I don’t trust Six Flags at all
Was Green Lantern as raunchy as people claim? I used to ride it as Chang when it was new and it was never a rough ride. I am surprised nobody has made a Hitler video of his reaction to this massive closure of several popular rides as SFGA like they did when Art Bell quit for the final time or when Son of Beast closed for good. It's not too late. Somebody get on it! This whole thing with Kingda, Zoomanjaro, the skyride, etc was bizarre. Bad PR on their part to say the least.
This theme park used to be on my bucketlist. It no longer is.

You are quite right - they have a lot of work to do to bring GA back to the elite category
Strongly agree with everything you shared.
Couldn’t make it work myself to get a first ride and there will not be anything like KA to experience.
That is very regretful to hear. I will say that TT2 once it get back up and running is still a better experience overall.
@ I’m hoping to visit Cedar Point for the first time next year so fingers crossed.

Afraid I have to agree with all this as well

Cedar Fair is who wanted it gone😂
@ we don’t know that but that doesn’t change my point. Cedar Fair is definitely much more trustworthy. Six flags has always cut corners
A true catch 22!
I think y'all said it every one of y'all call reliability wear and tear and replacement consideration
Hopefully the replacement will be worth it!

Its a very tempting idea
