    NOTE: This product works exactly as described. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(canyoutalk)  to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!

    I started working from home over a year ago and gained 25 pounds, I did start using the treadmill at the gym but between my wife's schedule and the kids I am able to go 3 days a week. Im glad I found this video, I placed an order for a funmily treadmill, then realized it was too small for me. My other option was this one, although costs a bit more its the perfect size for me. This review video was very well done, I just placed an order for it and cancelled the first one. Thank you sir!

  • @StrongOver40
    @StrongOver40 3 роки тому +5

    Great review, Walt! This model seems like a good option for me, specially for what you said regarding people who already have the habit of running/walking and need something that's convenient. I'm looking to get a treadmill I can use when the weather gets tough during the winter and for my wife and mother in law to walk/jog. I really enjoy running, but now I'm mixing it up with walking too, because (like you) I'm using walking and diet to lose weight. May I ask a couple of questions..1. I usually do between 8:30-9:30 min/mile pace on 5-6 miles. Do you think that would work? 2.- Does the treadmill also show pace(min/mile) and not just speed?, 3.- you don't need ifit to operate the treadmill, right? (like you, I don't care about that type of experience, I prefer listening to music/podcasts..pretty basic). Thanks so much!

    I've been working out at home for years, and was doing UA-cam workout videos with the wife for cardio. I still do those some, but I've been way more consistent with this treadmill. I'm only a week and a half in, so I've been doing 20-25 minutes on 6 incline and 2.5 speed then running the last few minutes out. Already getting easier to do so I'll likely be stepping up the intensity soon.
    They definitely end up as paperweights often. The guy I bought it from sold it to me for $75 just to get it out of his garage lol. His wife used it for a while and then quit using it a year ago. I hope to use one for the rest of my life though since I've struggled with my weight my whole life.
    Anyhow, hopefully this comment helps someone get motivated to get one and start using it. You can probably find one or one like it online cheap. I personally think even if you do nothing for exercise right now that grabbing a treadmill will get you motivated because its easy to build on. Admittedly, I had fallen off the horse when I bought the treadmill, and it has gotten me right back on. It's just super accessible to get cardio with, and I'm left with no excuse to skip my daily cardio session.

    Hi Walt, have you had to lubricate this treadmill consistently? If so what type of lubricant is necessary for this treadmill?

    • @waltsreviews90
      @waltsreviews90  2 роки тому +1

      I have not had to lubricate this an excessive amount but it is a good idea to do so somewhat routinely. Check out this link below, that's what Nordic Track recommends. I've heard other people mention that they just use standard treadmill silicone

    It’s solid but the way you have to lean forward to use the keypad is silly. Meaning the display area is too far forward and you’ll hit into the bottom with your feet or you’ll have to lean far forward as you’re walking or jogging which is terrible for your back and not safe. They should have extended the display area a good 6-8” further forward. Also do not like how the distance measurement is in 3 decimals and is difficult to quickly see the distance thus far. It should go up in single decimals. Instead of 0.29 or 1.29 they do 0.290 and 1.290 which is odd. Also forcing if it to be able to enable adjustment of the user’s height & weight, etc is wild. Plus the Nordictrack support is horrible. Everything else is fantastic.

    We bought hours in 2018. The I'm bored speakers the patch and are not very loud. A cup holders are great. Some people say it's a little loud but it doesn't bother me it's in our basement. Easy to transport and put together in my opinion.
    It's been a great unit. It only gave me a odd issue in late 2022 where it would not incline fully. It would only incline on level 10 about a third of the way. I'm not sure how I resolved it but maybe it was a board reset or something like that. I cleaned off the incline sensor, tried a reset nothing seemed to work until I typed it on side one day pulled the auger apart. Put it back together again and it worked. Nothing seemed broken I just did not want to go up all the way on level 10..

    I bought this, I installed ifit, I quickly declined the membership, and just use it to control the speed/incline, it tracks the mileage on my phone, and apparently automatically sync's with my Samsung Watch 5 Pro. I'm going to try wirelessly connecting it to my Garmin Enduro 2, but even if it doesn't. This thing is great for what I paid. I think it was around $450 with free shipping on amazon sale. I do want to upgrade someday, but I'm in no rush. I watch anime on a 43 inch TV in front of it, the only downside is I get real sweaty after 20 mins, and yes... it's loud. So I use Noise Cancelling Headphones (Bose 700's). This year I'm going to try; 1. peltier cooled headphones, 2. fan-directed at my face, 3. ice packs (?), and maybe 4. zone 2 bpm targetted workout.

    Question. Do you lube the belt on this treadmill? My last treadmill and every one I have ever used required regular applications of treadmill lube, different intervals depending on the model, One was every 30 miles or something. I just got this NordicTrack T6.5s and the manual said NOT to apply silicone lube, says it comes pre lubed? I guess it feels like there is a very thin coat of something on the belt/board but the manual said nothing about ever applying lube. Is this the case on this treadmill? You just don't add any lubricant for the entire life of the treadmill? That does not sound right.

      @JohnNorris411 2 роки тому

      @@waltsreviews90 The manual says not to lube with silicone, does not give any info on when or how to lube, makes it sound like it never needs lube. I am sure many machines damaged due to poor communication. I contacted the company about it and they said, Yes, it has to be lubed on a regular basis like any other treadmill. But that using regular treadmill lube made of Silicone can damage the belt. And that I need to use NordicTrack brand non-silicone petroleum based lube that I have to buy from them. I do not know if it is true silicone will damage the belt or if that is total BS to get people to buy their brand of lube for profit. The machine is expensive and I have to error on the side of safety and buy their expensive lube for now until I can get more information. You have the same treadmill as I do, have you been lubricating it? and if so what kind of lube have you been using?

    Thanks for a great review I've already ordered mine.** I would suggest that you unplug the unit after each use since your children play on it. I know that would be a pain but just a good precaution. Not sure if it has a key I did not hear about that if you take it out every time they could put it back in. So many accidents with children and treadmills especially younger children.

    Hi! I know this is an older post, but I'm currently considering buying this treadmill. But I've seen in other videos where the plastic housing at the foot of a different treadmill had caught the person's foot/shoe during use. We plan on also using this treadmill for exercising our very energetic Husky (always supervised, of course) and his paw getting caught in those "caps" is a HUGE concern for us. You mentioned that specific housing was broken off on your treadmill. Did you notice any functionality/safety issues because that housing was broken off? If it's possible to remove those without function or safety problems, I would be interested in removing them to protect puppy feet. Thanks so much for your review - was very helpful!

    • @waltsreviews90
      @waltsreviews90  2 роки тому +1

      If I'm understanding the concern, I don't think it should be an issue. If you're looking at the caps at the very bottom, or the feet, then I don't think that would be a concern. You can also buy a dog treadmill, though that's not ideal if you are planning on using it too.

      @@waltsreviews90 Yes. The caps at the end (back?) of the treadmill belt that you mentioned in the vid (the one was broken off when you received the treadmill)- you haven't had any issues with functionality of the belt or treadmill due to its absence?
