The width is 20 or 22", the Proform 16" maybe the longer wider belt will allow me to not have to have a hand on a rail while I walk and watch movies. Thanks for checking out our review. Sorry for the confusion. 10 MPH is definitely a running speed. We only consider this a "walking" treadmill because it has a smaller motor. You can run on this treadmill, but it's not going to withstand long-term heavy running on a daily basis. That's why we recommend people who are going to primarily walk and do some light jogging to buy this machine. If you're going to run on a treadmill 3-5 days a week we recommend getting a treadmill with a larger motor. Let us know if you have any other questions.
@@anapalacios1791 If you're running 1 hour daily we recommend getting a treadmill with a larger motor. Anything with a 3.5 HP motor or more will be great. Let us know if you have any further questions.
Hello, I just ordered this treadmill online. I, and I alone will be the sole user of this machine, I typically jog at a rate of 5.5 mph for approximately 45 minutes daily - although this treadmill is meant more for walking, will my exercise routine be a problem for this model? Thanks!
Okay, I just bought this and I do a lot of jogging probably 4-5 days a week for an hour. Like, 5-6 mph. Is the motor going to be an issue in the long run, then? I didn't see any reviews stating that the motor burned out quickly or anything like that.
Great question, no if it's just you and one or two other people, daily jogging on this machine will work great. The issue we've seen is if this treadmill is in the home of a family where 3-4 people are using this machine for heavy running 4-5 times a week. But how you've explained it, you will be great to use this machine for those purposes with no issues. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Running speed will be a bit different for most people. We consider running speed to be around 6 or 7. You definitely can run on this treadmill. It's just not going to work well if you have multiple users who are doing a lot of running on it every day. We hope this answers your questions, please let us know if you have any others.

You can definitely run on this treadmill, we rate this treadmill mainly for walking and light jogging and running for single person use. If you have multiple people that are going to be running on this machine 4-5 days a week, we recommend getting something with a larger motor. Otherwise you might have issues with the motor pretty soon down the road.
