  • Demystifying Wine World - episode 2
In this video we are looking at main differences between these three, often very confusing categories. We explain what are the key differences within, where do they overlap and why are these styles of wines growing in popularity so rapidly.

Glad I found your channel. I am in TN and am starting a vineyard (barely know what I am doing and learning as I go). I use to work on a small vineyard and make wine with my grandpa who learned his methods in southern Italy around WW2. I can see the way he did things was mostly 'natural' although I can tell the wine magazines had him experimenting with different products in his layer years. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

as a side note, the effects of the moon are unfortunately misunderstood as simply a gravitational effect upon the earth. it is much subtler than that, but I encourage real winos to taste and see the difference for themselves.

I am growing strawberry in back garden. I want to make them biodynamic. I have put them near the shed so they feel the gravitational pull from all the metal tools Inside. Please help. I think I have made a terrible mistake

Natural wine is basically just not doing your job as a wine maker.

You said natural wine doesn’t have and real guidelines. But from my understanding that’s not really true. To be natural you have to source organic grapes. On top of that the notion on not adding anything to the process (yeast, So2, etc) is a in its own a format for making that wine. Are those not guidelines?

Natural wine actually can add SO2, that’s a common misconception. It’s just regulated so you can’t add past a certain amount. Most natural wine producers do add SO2 simply because it aids in shelf life and overall preservation of the flavor. Obviously it’s less than most non-natural wine producers add though, but still, it’s typical added, you have to check with each individual producer to know whether or not they added SO2 and how much they added
