This is like ice fishing but on a boat lol!!! My father-in-law just had a similar setup put on his boat down in FL, cannot wait to try this out in April now!
That’s a great question, I don’t think I am fully qualified to answer that. The only fishfinder I’ve purchased recently is a Garman striker for my kayak. About $100.
That is so sick! Your heart must have been racing right before the strikes! I know mine would be haha. How far out in front of you do you have to cast to see your lure/fish?
Yeah, every single time a fish would come on the screen I would get excited. You can see it 100 feet in front of you as well as directly under the boat.
Hmm. I dunno... if guys are catch and release fishermen, I guess it's OK. But stuff like this for people who keep them could wipe out a big fish lake in one season. There's talk about banning these things in tournaments . You get 4 boats with 2 guys each that target big fish and keep em? Not good. They could take 40 or 50 30+ lb stripers in a few weeks. I know you guys are great sportsmen and release almost everything. But some people keep everything they pull in....
Here are the current regulations for Boone Lake, this time of year. “Anglers are allowed two hybrids or stripers per day in any combination from April through October with a 15-inch minimum length limit. Anglers are also allowed two fish in combination from November through March, but only one may be a striped bass and it must be at least 36-inches in length”. So as long as everybody plays by the rules Boone lake should be fine.
It will save you a lot of skunk days on the lake. I caught fish before I had mine, but livescope is where it's at. I don't fish for a living so I don't care what people think about it.
yeah, its still a challenge to get the fish to bite. people only see the highlights. They don't see all the hours of searching and missed fish. @@073286

Yeah, it’s an absolute blast. I hope you have a ton of fun in April.
so cool watching that.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was a blast.
Aarrrgghhh, I wanna go fishing! Great video!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video, I hope you can go fishing soon
Good video! Sweet striper catches!
Thanks
I had a blast when I fished Boone watching those big fish come up on screen. Watching you all use that live scope was intense! Enjoyed the video!!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Nice Sniper Marine Livescope pole!
It was a great setup
another great video!
Appreciate it
Awesome video Micheal
Thanks
That go pro on top of the screen would drive me nuts
Yeah, in hindsight, it was a bad idea. I think I’ll try to mount it on the bottom. Next time I finish with Adam.
Super video.... by chance do you know the name of the soft plastic you were using???
I don’t remember. It reminded me of a flute
What type of transfucer mount is that for his livescope?
That’s a great question, I will ask Adam next week when we fish again.
Would you happen to know what pole that is for his transducer?
I don’t, but I’m going to be filming another video with him this week. I’ll have him explain what it is.
Did you get any stats on those stripers. That one was pretty big
Unfortunately, I didn’t think to measure it or we weigh it. I will do a better job on the next video. Doing another trip with Adam next week.
Any recommendations on fish finders under $500.00 ?

Dang, that was so cool. Was that a double fluke setup you had?
It was

The Cumberland River has been hit super hard by people keeping striper
What pole mount is he using?
I will talk to him this week and get back to you. I can’t remember the name but we are getting ready to film another video soon.
It's a sniper, 699.00. I found it
fantastic! Im glad you found it. @@ManningTheOutdoors
it looks fun, but it almost doesn't seem fair...
It’s an absolute blast. The most fun video game I’ve ever played.
