I have the quest 2 and pro controllers. I find the pro controllers perfect for pool as I can hold the cue behind my back when taking a shot. This is more natural feeling playing. The quest 2 controllers I had to hold both in view of headset. So felt like I was holding a very tiny cue. I'm getting the quest 3 soon and will test them on pool. But I believe they will do the same thing, so I will pair the pro ones to that as well, if that is the case.
The problem I have in every game, is that the Quest 3 controllers don't line up with whatever I'm holding in the game. Guns and swords are all leaning outward to the right. Have to bend my wrists inward to aim. A normal swing of a sword visually hits the opponent with the flat of the blade (more or less). Is there any adjustment for this?
oh man....I don't have this issue, but sounds awful. I would have to imagine there is something in the calibrations settings....maybe see what google comes back with. Thanks for watching
What about vibrations? Do you feel the haptics and triggers feel as nice on the quest 3 controllers? What about battery life? Thanks for your thoughts.
Battery life has usually been great on both sets of controllers...as for the haptics, not sure I notice a huge difference there but it's been so long since I touched the pro controllers. Thanks for watching
I was shocked how good the stock controllers track. It's a shame that everything except the hardware of the headset needs to be replaced with aftermarket parts to really get the most out of the headset XD
Honestly... Quest 3 controllers might be fine, but if you sometimes get them out of the vision of your headset, your tracking gets lost. And in games like beatsaber it annoys me to hell. So no, they are not the same or better. QTP can track even behind your headset just fine. Sure they cost a lot, but thats because they process visual data from 3 cameras and have their own snapdragon on them...
If the $300 extra cost is worth it to you....then have at it. I had issues with tracking even with the QTP controllers...but if it works well for you...awesome
I have a quest 2 with quest 2 controllers and I’m probably going to buy a quest 3 in december next year because i have a 2 year insurance on my quest 2. Sould i buy quest pro controllers? I want to make my quest 2 better to use because i will have my quest 2 for a long time.
Ugh....that's a tough one. If you were getting the quest 3 sooner, I would say no since those controllers are great. The quest pro controllers are still really expensive, so if you can find them on sale (or even on eBay) maybe get them cause they are a lot better than the quest 2 controllers
@@jimdominick I feel like issues keep getting worse. I finally cut my losses and paired the Quest 3 controllers again and they work phenomenally. I think tonight once I get home, I'll try to re-pair the Pro controllers. Maybe they missed and update, and re-pairing might force an update.
I disagree. I find the Quest 3 controllers have some tracking issues...at least in the games that I play that require precise controller movement and aiming (Pistol Whip, Beat Sabre, etc). The Quest Touch Pro controllers are much, much better.

Quest 3 is a nice upgrade from the 2
Confirmed my suspicions, thank you!

Bro with this video i thought you had like 5 mil! Keep it up.
haha...I'm working on it ;-). Thanks for watching!
When it comes to Quests, playing Beat Saber competitively with anything other than QPro controllers is sad.
Thanks for the comment and for watching
I just watched a video where a 14 year old kid who is a pro uses the regular controllers so I'm not so sure I agree anymore like I used too.
the number one player global uses regular quest 2 touch

Why doesn't meta put the technology from the quest pro controller's into full body trackers?
maybe someday....

Yeh...they are solid controllers!!!

The tracking problems with quest pro controllers is entirely software related. It looks like meta sodtware v62 has fixed random tracking loss.

Why doesn't anyone talk about the constant connection issues with the Quest Pro controllers?
I haven't had the pro ones for a while and feel like it was an issue initially for me and then after a while went away and I didn't have any issues.
