Hi Asia, I live in Long Island, New York which is zone 7B. This Fall has been wonderfully and unusually warm, and we didn’t have our first frost yet, because it’s in the 60’s during the day and 40’s-50’s at night. This is my second year gardening (retired at 60 last year), but my first Fall gardening. Thanks to your nonchalant demeanor and advice , I learned to enjoy gardening and not take failures too seriously (“that’s fine “ 😅😂). I am growing collards, spinach, carrots, bok Choy, bush beans , broccoli and bush peas. I did attempt to grow honey nut squash , after 2 months the squash vine borer got to them 😢! But I do have three honey nut squash that I am ripening in the house! 😁🙌🏾 I’m starting to see the broccoli crowns emerging and I’m very excited (kept netted all Fall). So I understand your excitement when you see your garden has survived from the worms, insects , squirrels ect 😅😂

Hi Ms Asia! I can’t say this enough, I love both of your channels. You are always so informative and entertaining. I can’t wait to start my garden next Spring. I tried to grow Shishito peppers but I was not successful. You make them sound so tasty. 😂 I pray both of your channels grow and you don’t have to worry working for someone else. Thank you for all that you do! Jessyca from STL, MO.

I'm now living vicariously through you. LOL! 😂 I'm envious of your gardening all year. Currently, in Minnesota, it is 27°, it's snowing and my garden is buried in the cold white stuff. The high today I believe will be 30°. So I'll just visit YOUR happy place. Thank you! 😊

Have you ever tried a grow tent? It was designed, originally, for cannabis. You can grow from seed to harvest INSIDE. it gives me so much joy in our long winters. I live 20 miles from Buffalo, NY. Yep, cold. Grow tents come in all sizes, hope you give it a try❤

Hello Asia. I am loving the look of the garden. I got several good harvest from my tree collards. Then the army worms took over. I actually sprayed one of them with BT and it bounced back. I didn’t realize that if you cut it off like you did that it would grow new shoots. It is way too tall and mostly a tall stem with collards at the top I will be cutting it back this weekend. I’m in zone 9 in Louisiana. I can pretty much grow year round as well.
Yours is truly the “bounce back” beautiful, do your own thing garden. 👩🏽‍🌾 🪴 🌱🙏🏾♥️🕊️

Hey Asia. I'm in 7B in Baltimore, and I also opted out of cutting back my asparagus ferns this Fall. We have had the most mild and actually warm weather, so they are still mostly green. I don't cover either, and just try to plant based on the season. We're so blessed in the mid-Atlantic to have the opportunity to garden year round. Happy gardening!

Don’t worry (yet!) about your apple trees not producing- did you know that different tree varieties have different lifespans? Like peaches start declining after 20ish years, while some apples live for 100+ years… so it makes sense that apples (& pears) tend to take more years to mature to the age of fruit production… also don’t worry if that 1st apple doesn’t taste good- the flavor improves over the years as well - I’ve noticed that with my grapes too- every year they taste better! It’s another fruit that lives a looonnngg time!

I get terrible asparagus beetles, so I remove the ferns. They are very hard to hand collect, as they drop to the ground when you look for them. I also wonder if they overwinter in the soil because sometimes spears come out of the ground looking gnawed on. What worked for me was using tanglefoot on a green garden stake. Fooled the beetles and they were stuck. I will be repeating that technique every year! Just moved most of our very established asparagus patch and good lord was that a struggle…thankful for rain today to settle them in.

Hi 👋🏾! Honest truth, I haven’t ever heard of Berrytone. When I first put them in I watched a video of someone using Hollytone and it worked so I’ve been using it ever since. I use it to acidify the soil I hadn’t paid attention to any nutrients it may provide though. My bushes are full every year so I hadn’t looked into any other options. I hope this helped. O we aren’t too far from each other!

@@sounditout34if you are talking about the Espoma Tones, they are all good and have mostly the same ingredients with emphasis on the things needed for the named particular plants on the labeling. There is a tone for everything. The PlantTone is more of an all-purpose fertilizer. Any of the Tones by Espoma are great products. Once you start using them, you won’t want to use anything else, and you can use any that you have on any plant. It won’t hurt the plant. I use the Bio-Tone, which is a root starter every time I plant. Hoped that helped.
