This is the BEST interview Day6 has ever had, honestly. It dives deep into their incredible music process, their characters, their thinking mechanism, their goals and aspirations,... Stuffs that they seldom got asked before. Zach made it such a smooth, comfortable, casual yet insightful conversation. I love how inclusive he tries to make the convo be, not letting the members who don't speak English as fluently be "bystanders" like a lot of other interviewers in the States have done. And I LOVE LOVE his questions!!! I have been eagerly waiting for this interview because Zach Sang Show is my favorite celebrity show out there. A big thank you to Zach for being kind, thoughtful and wholesome! Also, I'm so proud of how much Dowoon, Sungjin and Wonpil's English has improved over the US tour! Sungjin seems to understand Zach's question even before it is translated to him, Dowoon is really comfortable with replying in English and all three of them puts effort to answer back to Zach in simple English terms before moving on to the deeper stuffs in Korean. I really respect that.

I don't think the Korean interviewers ask K-pop stars about their craft like this. Perhaps You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook might qualify, I'm not sure. It is nice to see kpop artists asked to formulate answers to probing questions and not just being asked to show off their aegyo or playing games.

Jae has a way of speaking that keeps you interested in the conversation. He can be talking about, I don't know, textile and it'll be very interesting to focus. (edit: now I understand why he's a good talker, he wanted to be in UN. That's my dream job too) Oh my dear Brian, I will call you by your real name because I would like to talk to the imperfect you, your struggles and your thoughts, whether happy or sad, build who you are today. Some people don't accept those bad things and see them as obstacles, but you, my dear, are a one hell of a strong human. Mad respect. Five minutes into the video and I am super proud of how eloquently youngk is able to express himself. Little did I know a few mins later he would tell us about his fear of making mistakes. If you're reading this youngk, please be encouraged that you are doing well :) 수고했어요. This interview is so good and it is 50 minutes of day6 we hardly get to see. Many of the US interviews are about introducing them to people who haven't heard about them yet but this one feels ... more personal/in depth. So proud of how far they've come and their unadultered honesty is like a breath of fresh air.
YoungK's take on not writing about things personal to him but instead writing FOR the listeners, singlehandedly showcased how he is a Business Management graduate. He knows that in order to sell a product, one must firstly create the product with the consumers in mind--- what the latter wants, need, and be interested in. YoungK did that exactly and look where it led them. Props to you, Brian/YoungK!!! 💟
Apart from Graham Norton, Zach is by far one of THE BEST INTERVIEWERs/TALK SHOW HOSTs out there now. The first time I saw him was in the interview he did with BTS backstage of AMAs 2017. When e.v.e.r.y. s.i.n.g.l.e. i.n.t.e.r.v.i.e.w. question was asking BTS about girlfriends or who they wanna meet and collaborate with (some people don't even know their names), Zach (got all their names and info down to a T) asked BTS PROPER QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR MUSIC AND THEIR CREATIVE PROCESS. He was the FIRST interviewer to ask about the BTS x UNICEF End Violence Project. You could literally see the gratitude and appreciation RM felt when Zach brought it up...ZACH IS A PRO. A PROPER INTERVIEWER WHO RESPECTS HIS PROFESSION AND THE PEOPLE HE INTERVIEWS. In this one...you could see how Zach slowly but surely managed to coax the quieter and timid members out of their shells throughout the hour long interview. The way he included them with personalized questions. The way he read up on their lives not just their professional lives but personal lives. Zach has always made sure to treat the people he interviews as a human being first and foremost before being an artist. He doesn't see colour or language or gender as a barrier. I truly believe it is from his heart everytime he starts with "Hello, beautiful humans!" Sincerely adore and respect Zach. He is wise beyond his age. Fantastic interviewer as always. ❤
this interview is *EVERYTHING* their responses are so well-thought out, i could listen to this as a podcast everyday and i would never complain, you could just see how genuine they are about making music, just another reason to love them more🤧
I wholeheartedly agree with all the comments that are praising Jae and Young K's comments, how well-thought and well-spoken they are, but I feel the need to just quickly touch on what Sungjin said about improving your vocals. He says (quoting Jae here): that "the further you dive into vocals, the deeper it gets and the harder it gets to understand because you start understanding that the spectrum is wider than you originally thought it was" and I think that honestly goes for everything. I mean, he is completely right. What I essentially picked up was this: "The better you get at something, the more you learn there is to learn." The further in the process you get of perfecting a craft, the more difficult it gets because you realize there are so many more aspects to think of and details to dig into. There will always be something to work on, there will always be room for improvement. You can always learn how to do better than before, which may seem like a never-ending road. But that doesn't mean you aren't already good. Look at Sungjin: An incredible singer with a huge talent, yet he still finds things to work on, because that's just how it is. No matter how good you get, there will always be more to understand and learn. Yet after stating this, he says he just finds joy in practicing. Like, despite how difficult it gets, despite how much there is to learn, he keeps going because he enjoys singing. It's hard, yes, but that's not stopping him from doing what he enjoys and wants to do, and I think that's a really important thing to take from this. You shouldn't stop because it gets hard. You should keep going because you love it. This may just be me reading too much into this, but nonetheless, I think it's an important message to spread and take with you through life. (Sorry that this was kinda messy, I hope you got the gist of it)
Do agree. When we do what we love, we'll endure and accept and struggle with the unnice (is that the word?) parts too. Bcs the nice and unnice part are one whole package and as long as its title is sth we love, we'll still go. Yea
After seeing so many interviews that are fun but shallow, and some that are downright offensive, I was hoping so badly that they’d get interviewed by Zach. He always finds great chemistry with the artists and gets them talking about their work passionately
"so final thoughts, dan, you got anything?" "so you guys aren't dancers?" bruh. dan really should just put some time aside the day before an interview to write some actual questions down 'cause every time eye- zac, sweetie, you did wonderfully and we thank you!
Princess Ülkü I don’t know why he’s there. Like Zach will throw in a fun question or comment in here and there but he always manages to make it work well and uses them to lighten the mood after some deep thought-provoking questions. I feel like dan doesn’t even watch one mv before guests he isn’t familiar with come on. Zach hire me instead lol I’ll do better
"One thing we've all learned in common, is probably brotherhood...and the fact that we learned to lean on each other...because, I feel like groups are made to cover weaknesses...to make things perfect..." -Jay 2019 He probably meant that as a throw-away line, but that hit me like a ton of bricks...
Young K’s voice when he speaks in English is a blessing to everyone’s ears ... and he is talking about deep stuff ... I need a podcast late at night of Young K talking about life ...
Most interviews really aren’t that interesting but this honestly got deep and I FOR ONCE heard some stuff I hadn’t heard before. I even ended up thinking about life for a minute too like when Brian said “With writing music you have time to change and fix things and make a good end product but with conversations if you say something then you can’t take that back or fix it” I really felt that wowie.
So..from 16 to about age 25, I played in bands as a drummer... towards the end I had picked up the guitar and contributed guitar riffs to the song-writing process as well... but then, when it became obvious that there was no future for me in music, I had to put it down and go find a career to support myself... watching these guys talk about their experiences as professional musicians is truly cathartic... I envy their ability to express themselves through music, and even make a living through that expression... I hope they are able to stay together and produce music for years to come...
When they said that they keep writing music they aint joking MAN THEY DROPPED GRAVITY TWO MONTHS AGO AND NOW THERE’S ENTROPY TY FOR FEEDING MY DAYS EVEN IF IM SO BROKE
Dowoon highlights for the interview "I am important" "I think I'm pure" "Thank you guys" (uwu) THIS IS WHY HE'S MY BIAS. I. AM. GOING. TO CRY. HE'S SO CUTE.

Zach is my fave interviewer especially for Kpop. He really listens and actually intrested in the Artists craft and stories. He is genuine. Thanks for having them!
I like how he doesn't overstep the idols boundaries, and he actually is quite knowledgeable about them, which makes him a very good interviewer.. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Zach is easily my favorite interviewer to do kpop interviews! It seems like he really does his research, knows the groups and their music, and asks real, in-depth questions. A lot of interviewers ask much simpler questions or stuff that has been asked before, and generally boring questions. Zach asks about lyrics and concepts and meanings, and its so good to hear! I would trust Zach to interview any of my favorite kpop groups!
Seriously I still really love this interview. I feel as if they've always been genuine as artists making songs that are personal for them and are related (?) to by listeners as well. Watching this now, I can tell that the members have grown and become more comfortable with who they are and as a band since then. To all five of them, I wish for them to keep growing and pursuing music as a band in their own ways. Much Love to Day 6 and Jae
I love how Zach really tried to talk to everyone and make everyone have a good time. Even Wonpil and Sungjin who seemed apprehensive at first got a couple of minutes to talk about stuff. Can't even begin to say how much I appreciated the questions. Great job!
Day6 makes life better i like to think Sungjin is thinking about food, Dowoon is thinking about how cool his hyungs are for being bilingual, and Wonpil is just daydreaming in his own world
This Interview made me realize again why i admire Young K so much. He's so talented and intresting. All his answers were so insightful and those questions were super deep, but he managed to answer them all in a very classy and informative manner.
You’ll get used to it. Sometimes they’ll drop interviews and appear on variety shows left and right or they might disappear for almost 7 months and suddenly announce their comeback *cough* time between days gone by and time of our life *cough*
when YoungK talks about writing When You Love Someone being inspired by a fan letter, i cried a little. their connection to the fans is amazing and they inspire each other. it's so pure.

@@redv.402 sungjin speaks a lot in korean though. and wonpil is much more jolly when in korea but ye it takes more time for him to open up. besides isn't sungjin more extroverted than introverted? i mean he's an enfj, though i can see how he has an introverted side as well. wonpil is infp indeed though
hmm i do know they have a shy side, i just think its different to how they behave in the video
"When you spit out a word, you can't take it back." - YoungK 2019. These words are so true. You don't know how powerful words can be. Wjdbbsbs
I never realized that Young K has an accent until I listened to this interview.
The more he speaks, the more his accent comes through.
I think that's how it is for a lot of people, when you have to think of what to say your accent suffers 😂
@@mgnrvnn4199 True
What accent ?
고메스바네사 Canadian + Korean I guess because he studied 4 years in Toronto.
does anyone else think he looks like David from dkdktv?
I don't think the Korean interviewers ask K-pop stars about their craft like this. Perhaps You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook might qualify, I'm not sure. It is nice to see kpop artists asked to formulate answers to probing questions and not just being asked to show off their aegyo or playing games.
Yes!
OMG, yes. And Day6 amazed me more with this interview, knowing that they don't have that much exposures and experiences with shows.
Maybe, this deeper flow of interviews suits them more.
YASSS
Hell Yeah! Exactlty
it felt like day6 themselves were impressed about zach's meaningful questions, you can see how young k wanted to put out well tought answers too. i'm so happy this interview happened, i could listen to their talking voices forever.
I see Zack trying so hard to connect despite the language barrier and the cultural gap... love this guy 😂
I really wish someday there will be a Korean show who asks them deep questions like this so other members can comfortably speak their opinion.
Yeap
IKR
Exactly!!
Jae has a way of speaking that keeps you interested in the conversation. He can be talking about, I don't know, textile and it'll be very interesting to focus. (edit: now I understand why he's a good talker, he wanted to be in UN. That's my dream job too)
Oh my dear Brian, I will call you by your real name because I would like to talk to the imperfect you, your struggles and your thoughts, whether happy or sad, build who you are today. Some people don't accept those bad things and see them as obstacles, but you, my dear, are a one hell of a strong human. Mad respect.
About the live instruments, I've been missing to hear real instruments as someone who grew up listening to rock and punk, and I recently rediscovered day6 and my ears have been blessed. Never change your style please please. Once I get a chance to see you live, I want to have that feeling you have right now.
One side note: sungjin s accent is so cute. Keep it up and never change it young boy.
Which Brian tho haha btw I love this comment
You could listen to The Rose, CN Blue, FT Island, N Flying too they're bands if you don't already. I'm a multi fan who just loves great music from all genres.
Kristel Parker omg I rlly need to get into those bands cos I’ve heard they’re rlly good. Also moots?
thanks jae... imma be using "genre-lize" from now on.
someone: so, what type of music do you like?
me: sorry, I don't genre-lize myself.
What I love about Day6, Jae and Brian are always trying to get the other members to talk and they have no problem translating for them so they can participate.

YoungK: It all depends on your imagination.

@jasss. f it means YoungK may or may not be basing his lyrics on real experience. But the way Jae reacts kinda points towards the former 😏😏🤣🤣

I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOW WELL RESEARCHED THIS WAS AND SO MANY INTERESTING QUESTIONS THIS IS THE BEST DAY6 INTERVIEW TILL DATE HELL YEAH THANK YOU
YEEEAAAH I love this show cause they do reasearches before! (one of them atleast)
Yeah truee!! Even i was shook by his questions
His whys
I thought I am before court, lawyer asking the WHY and HOW
Zach never disappoints;)
I see MCR fan here in Day6 content, help ---
I'm so flipping proud of Young K for talking so much in this interview, that must have been so hard but he spoke really well like poetry just flows from his mouth what is this sorcery
I feel this will be an interview mydays will remember for sure
YoungK: Help me
I love how organic this whole interview was
"Rock is always alive. Music in general is always alive. "- Jae
Oh i love you more Jae!
youngk and jae both switching roles to ask each other for help in korean and english questions lmao
Came from eaJ recent interview with blurry eyes. 😢😢
young k is so witty with his answers!! i aspire to be THIS confident
He looked very nervous and cautious though. I guess we know why now as he said he’s afraid of saying something wrong that he can’t take back or fix
lol he seemed so shy and nervous to me?
but he still handled every question so intelligently and i really respect that
Kiki what’s the reason?
"Brotherhood."
I literally cried. Also, seeing how YoungK smiled at Jae's words
I love how Zack gives the opportunity to all the members to talk and actually asks about important stuff
I truly believe it is from his heart everytime he starts with "Hello, beautiful humans!"
Sincerely adore and respect Zach. He is wise beyond his age. Fantastic interviewer as always. ❤
Im 7 months late but i must tell you that i very like your words. You speak the unspoken yea
this interview is *EVERYTHING* their responses are so well-thought out, i could listen to this as a podcast everyday and i would never complain, you could just see how genuine they are about making music, just another reason to love them more🤧

Yea
At this point, I love Zach. He was so well researched and actually wanted to know more abour our boys. This is perfect 💜
After seeing so many interviews that are fun but shallow, and some that are downright offensive, I was hoping so badly that they’d get interviewed by Zach. He always finds great chemistry with the artists and gets them talking about their work passionately
ISTG LIKE THIS JOY US SOMETHING IVE NEVER FELT BEFORE AS A MYDAY
zach is one of the best interviewers when it comes to things like these
zach snowballing questions is the best thing ever, like genuinely, he asks the greatest, most deepest questions and *THIS* is why i love him.
"so final thoughts, dan, you got anything?"
"so you guys aren't dancers?"
bruh. dan really should just put some time aside the day before an interview to write some actual questions down 'cause every time eye-
zac, sweetie, you did wonderfully and we thank you!
vasilisa. He’s so cringey
Literally and his questions always kinda throw the celebs off a bit and the vibe is kinda shattered ://
But Zack's reply was great
THEY DON'T NEED TO DANCE
Cause they're freaking Day6 😒
Kiki I feel like he zones out even during the interviews. he always second guesses the groups, never seems to actually care. it’s annoying.

"You are radiating beauty, my friend... " - He speaks for the whole world ❤
I can listen zach and young k talk for hours
Feel like they can be friends
I hope they can talk again on their next tour but then I remembered the e word 😭
Kiki what's the e word "enlisement "
"One thing we've all learned in common, is probably brotherhood...and the fact that we learned to lean on each other...because, I feel like groups are made to cover weaknesses...to make things perfect..."
-Jay 2019
He probably meant that as a throw-away line, but that hit me like a ton of bricks...
Young K’s voice when he speaks in English is a blessing to everyone’s ears ... and he is talking about deep stuff ... I need a podcast late at night of Young K talking about life ...

Now you have YoungK at Eric Nam's podcast. It was soooo fun!!! 😣💖💖💖
@@cutieyonk5596 YESSS! That's what I wanted to comment. That interview was also AMAZING!
yes the voiceeeew
Most interviews really aren’t that interesting but this honestly got deep and I FOR ONCE heard some stuff I hadn’t heard before. I even ended up thinking about life for a minute too like when Brian said “With writing music you have time to change and fix things and make a good end product but with conversations if you say something then you can’t take that back or fix it” I really felt that wowie.
sameee
Sungjin is definitely me during a group presentation in-class. 😂
When they said that they keep writing music they aint joking MAN THEY DROPPED GRAVITY TWO MONTHS AGO AND NOW THERE’S ENTROPY
TY FOR FEEDING MY DAYS EVEN IF IM SO BROKE
N on december they'll have japan comeback with 2 new songs
Don’t forget about those are still recovering from their tour earlier this year!!

Great job!
I wonder whats going on in Sungjin, Wonpil, and Dowoon's mind when they have all of these English interviews lmao
