Kathy and I were just talking about how happy we believe you guys will be with your next delivery of custom lumber. We are definately proud of how it has turned out. Looking forward to our visit soon.
A person can do anything they put their mind to, Luke, and from the looks of your handy work alreay on your first project, you surely will make a table with a top like that one day. Pursue it, you can do it.
@@hillsmillhomestead Sorry in my recent email to you I sounded mean, I meant to put “( I don’t know wood)”. The auto correct changed it to “(U don’t know wood)” . Didn’t mean to put that
If you sawing logs I'm gonna be glued to the video. I just love wood and seeing what comes out. That rift saw on those last ash boards really brought out the grain!@
Thank you, T Paw. The glider swing will be very similar to the bench renovation plan. Hope you can catch the video after your canning season and maybe find it helpful in your method for renovating your glider. Thanks for watching.
Hi Mikey, glad we found your channel. We watch Deep South with Danny and Wanda. We are on a small homestead and started our channel and having fun learning. We've been gardening here in central Texas for over 30 years and wanted to share with others the things we've learned. We were on a large homestead but decided years ago to downsize so we could travel. Looking forward to watching your channel. God Bless. Mike
Hey Mike and Rochelle. So glad to hear from others in the family (homesteaders). Yes, you can do so much with the knowledge you have accumulated over 30 years, and bigger is not always better. We have huge success in small spaces here at our place and we are so happy with our results.
@@hillsmillhomestead Thank you and God Bless all of us. We love Danny & Wanda and look forward to watching and learning from yawl. We might even take a trip to pick up some wood. Blessings.
That is a wonderful thing Marsha Shelley.....still learning! That inspires us here at Hill's Mill. We sure hope you find something that you can use in your own practice at your homestead/farm. Happy gardening.
Thank you, Mr. Micky. I liked the bench. I don,t know if I like cedar, or walnut better. Was some pretty lumber you sent to Mr Danny and Mirs Wonder. Thanks for the video. The older Micky from Virginia. God Bless.
Thanks Mr. Mickey, I just subscribed to your channel on the recommendation you and Mr. Danny sent out on Deep South Homestead channel when you delivered a load of lumber. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and maybe someday I will come and see you. Keep up the good work ☺️👍
Hello Robert Christensen. Thank you for subscribing to our channel. We operate a sawmill in Middle Tennessee just south of Nashville. We cut custom pieces of lumber to sale to wood craftsmen at a very good price. Any up coming projects you have in mind, give us a call and we will see if we have the lumber you are looking for. Thanks for visiting us today.
I have a question for you! I have a bunch of pine trees that we are about to saw up in a portable sawmill how long should those trees be felled before we mill them?? or should they stay standing until we're ready to cut them
Hello Kim Willis! Cutting pine fresh will be easier on your mill to saw, so my suggestion is leave them standing until you are ready to cut them. Thanks for subscribing and watching our channel! We appreciate you.
Hi Mr. Mickey, I love the bench you showed today! You do beautiful wood working... Do you work on these projects often? Thx for your video and have a beautiful day! 🌞 🌷
Hello Candessa. I stay pretty busy with my "honey do" lists all year long. I am so glad you like the bench project. I have enjoyed working on the "how to renovate your bench" video which will be up for view soon, so stay tuned and thanks for being a loyal watcher. We really appreciate you.
Hello Mr Steven Couitt. Yes, the Emerald Ash Bore is killing so much of our natural resource of Ash. Once the Emerald Ash Bore has infested the tree, its best to remove the tree so it doesnt affect more of your trees. And if you could saw your logs into lumber, you may be able to preserve some Ash lumber to have available to you in the future, since there may not be any left. Thanks for your comment. Best of luck to you and your timber.
You cut some amazing lumber! Ask me how I know? Because our barn is AWESOME! Thanks Mickey

Thanks for noticing that grain, Kenneth. I tried to film at an angle a real woodsman would take note. I sure appreciate that you "saw" that!
I like these kind of videos- thank you. Keep having fun- work safe.💞👍🌻

Love it Mr. Mikey. I've been looking at a old glider swing to redo. I've just got to get my canning done. Be safe God bless thank you.

I y’all come across a mature white ash tree, try to save the seeds for the future.
Great idea, Dennis!
