- The KTRC system on Kawasaki motorcycles is a class leading system. In this video, I explain what it does and how it makes riding better for you!

Very solid video, simple and informative! If you ever get the chance, I'd be interested to learn how the wheelie control works on these bikes. I know it isn't technically wheelie control, being as it is tied into the KTRC system, but past that I get confused on when and how much the modes will allow front wheel lift. I recently purchased a 2023 ZH2 and its a topic I'd like to be more knowledgeable on.
Does the Z900 70 Kw have this features.or does it have rain road and sport mode?
Road lane markings used to be my biggest hate here. They could be really slippery, and worse on a bend - that was back in the 1980s on my Yamaha XS400 with tyre technology of the day. Some Japanese tyres were very risky!
Yeah, this system is designed to take those types of thing into account. It's a great system!
Thank you! I would not mind if you explained the difference between levels 1, 2, 3; as in when you might want to use each and how they would feel different.
Great idea. My current bike has the KTRC with OFF, level 1, and level 2. For my use, I run it with level 1 on all the time. I can accelerate VERY hard from a stop and maybe see a little bit of a flash in the dash, but really don't feel it interfering at all. So for me, I run in level 1 all the time. I'm the type of rider that likes to keep my wheels on the ground in my regular riding, so that makes sense. I put it in level 2 for rain, and that's it. It still allows the bike to feel decently quick, but I want intervention immediately if that rear wheel starts to slip. On bikes with even more levels of KTRC, I think you're dealing with settings that are really only useful on the track. If you're heading out of a corner and losing traction, you have the ability to dial things in or out as necessary. For on road riding, the Off, 1, 2 settings are perfect for me. I hope that helps a little bit!
Do you have any explanation as to why so many Z900 bikes show a KTRC/Power warning every now and again, which just disappears if you ignore it and leave it for a few days?
I haven't heard of that personally, I'll have to dig into things to see if I can find out more.
At kawasaki versys 650 2023' does the ktrc lower the power of the motorcycle when it is enabled?? Is the motorcycle more powerful when the ktrc is disabled or not??
It has the same power whether it's on or off. It will limit the power if it senses slip.
Does the 50th anniversary z650 have tc
You Guys Rock! 😎
Thanks for watching!
I bought a new kawasaki z900 (35KW). But i could not set the Drive modes. There are KTRC levels in the area where the drive modes are located. I would appreciate your help.
It's hard to explain in the comments section of UA-cam. You may have to check your settings? If you don't have an Owner's Manual, they can be found online on Kawasaki's website.
@@PeterLoweOne Thank you for your help🙏🏼
I've had my bike for like a month and a half now and this whole time, I wasn't even in full power mode. It was in Rider, but unless you're changing modes, it doesn't say F or L. It was in L this whole dadgum time!
What to do when i dont have rider mode?
KTRC still works on bikes without rider modes. My Z900RS has KTRC and no rider modes.
@@PeterLoweOne hahaha yess it works but how do i shutt it off? I have a z900e 2022
