The amount of time, effort, and money you put into these reviews is absolutely incredible. No fluff, no jump cuts, no obnoxious editing… just simple information. Easily one of the best tech UA-camrs on the platform.
Thanks for making these long videos, love them compared to watching each one individually. But you missed a very important feature with all the screen protectors that have a black edge. They all go slightly into the screen (at least on the 16 Pro). This is definitely a deal breaker for me when it comes to these. If you don’t see it at first sight, open up your camera and you can’t see the white lines in the corners only when peaking at an angle.
Yup, agree with you on this. It seems like all these companies have left the bezel size the same as the 15 pro. The 16 pro line has a smaller bezel so that’s why the black outline on the protector is cutting into the screen. I’ve bought 4 different brands already and have yet found one that doesn’t cut into the screen. My camera control icons are slightly cut off by the black border
Exactly that’s the only reason I’m even on UA-cam for finding a good screen protector. Apple makes the bezels thin, and your screenprotector makes them big again
Very impressed with the additional testing. Seems like the big issue people are having are the black screen protector borders covering actual display. Can you incorporate a test for that in the future?
You put so much effort into it that I even turned off my ad blocker and when I'm finished watching the video I let it run in the background in 0.5x time. Good job!
I appreciate that you took the time (and money) to thoroughly test all of these screen protectors. I also appreciate that you made each one their own chapter so I could skip around. I've personally tried three screen protectors on my iPhone 16 Pro Max and ended up returning all of them. They are the Anker, Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT, and ESR Armorite. Each of these had their own drawbacks. Anker cut off part of the Camera Control interface depending on what you were looking at. Spigen had the sharp bottom edge. ESR had a slightly better bottom edge, but cut off a tiny portion of the Camera Control interface and had a little bit of rainbow effect. I'm currently not using a screen protector. I'm curious how the dbrand screen protector fairs, though it's not shipping until later this month. I may just not use a screen protector.
highly recommend having at least something on there, unless you can afford to replace your screen. At least for me, as I drop my phone pretty often. So far been using the cheaper multipack ESR screen protectors. They do rainbow, and keyboard sensitivity is a tiny bit off I think(takes about 2 days to adjust, just gotta type like you're angry lmao). Other than that It's great.
just noticed my first scratch after just 2 months since new, this is by putting the phone in its own pocket in my jacket with never mixing it with keys or anything, cleaning the screen with a clean micro fiber cloth, and despite being so careful :(
My biggest concern is coverage. The largest issue this year has been finding a screen protector that covers the entire display as much as possible without blocking any part of the display with smooth edges. Is there anything you can say about that regarding these screen protectors?
@@jasonwu4638 Been going through forums and UA-cam for the past month and a half while I wait for my 16 PM trying to answer this question. My phone came in a couple weeks ago. The answer is the Belkin Ultraglass 2 installed at the Apple Store. It covers the entire display plus a little more, doesn’t lift up at the edge, and doesn’t have a black border that thickens the bezels or blocks the camera control UI. Forget any other screen protectors you were looking at and just go to the Apple Store and let them do it…trust me. I’m as picky as they come and I’m satisfied with this.
A couple of things I wanted to note: 1. Would love to see your take on the Belkin Ultraglass. This is the official screen protector that Apple Store employees install on your phone when you are there. Or you can buy the install at home version from the Apple Store. I have it on my 16 Pro Max and I am quite pleased with it. 2. FloLab customer service mention to me they will be updating their screen protectors to accomodate for the smaller 16 pro/pro max bezels. The first one will be to the existing one time pro (currently the bezel slightly covers the edges of the phone screens). This update should happen around mid october. Might make it the definitive screen protector at that point. 3. Flolab will release a "curved" screen protector with full screen coverage around November. This is going to be a hot bending type of glass and should be something new and interesting. I stay tuned to your videos as you go in depth and its always nice to see some good analysis on these products! You saved me from buying the UAG screen protector! 😅
Specifically, Belkin UltraGlass 2 for iPhone 16 Pro Max. It has up to 24% better drop performance than the previous Belkin UltraGlass. Interested to see how durable it is.
I have a Corning screen protector (iPhone 14 Pro), would you test that if I sent it to you? I'm interested to see how it would fair against other glass manufactures since they've been doing this for over 140 years... It's a shame Otterbox ended their partnership with them, it was the best screen protector on the market... I just found your channel, incredible work you're doing here...
Thanks so much for all the hard work and effort. Must admit, seems the general drop protection for many of the screens is much lower than before. Not sure if it is because the 16 has just been released or maybe the screen being slightly larger. Hopefully as time goes by, this can improve. Also, If you could add a table, with the results in a week or so, it would be great. Great video. Pity some of the brands don't sell on Amazon UK.
you don't mention anything about the screen protector black bezel. Since the iphone 16 pro max screen bezel is too thin, most of the screen protector black bezel gonna cover some part of the iphone 16 pro and 16 pro max screen.
@ unfortunately nothing… don’t have time to search it. Currently i am using black bezel noname brand protector. It get the job done but.. you know it cover some part of screen.
Fantastic video. The main issue I’ve had with screen protectors for the 16 Pro Max is touch screen sensitivity reduction. Did you happen to notice that any were better or worse than others in your testing and/or personal use?
So good I’m not the only one. I’ve got the ESR clear protector on now. I’ve noticed especially with using the keyboard I’ve had so many text errors from I guess not pressing hard enough. Maybe it’s the thickness of it?

ESR is producing the majority of these issues, especially their Armorite. I'm using Spigen EZ Fit for 16 pro max and I'm not having any responsiveness issues at all

This is a LONG video but it was great! I love reviews that have repeated and consistent testing. It would have been nice if you used the same case or maybe test 3 cases on each phone. That way there is less bias. Phone cases and screen by the same company should always fit. Thank you for your hard work!
Gotta says super-duper appreciated for all your videos. In my country the options are limited, as soon as this video drops, I immediately grab three packs of ESR Tempered Glass. Before this was running the Zeelot Solid Sleek but the black border ate my screen so really annoying.
I love your screen protector videos😊 I do kind of disagree with you about the Spigen screen protector though. I had it on my 14 pro max. I had a wildflower case on my phone. I dropped it on the tile floor in my kitchen and absolutely nothing happened. I definitely dropped it more than three feet. I currently have the 16 Pro and I do believe it will fit multiple cases. I had the same screen protector on my old phone and I had quite a case collection
Is the Flolab OneTime Pro Privacy screen protector compatible with the unicorn beetle mag xt magsafe case. If you can check & let me know I would appreciate it. I have both items, still waiting for my iphone 16pro max.

Hi everyone! Did I understand correctly that there are still no glasses that would not make the frames thicker on the iphone 16 pro max? I've already tried a lot of glasses, and everywhere the frames are thicker than on the phone. And there is also an unpleasant moment with the screen. Sticking occurs when printing text. Is that the case with everyone?
Really amazing video thank you! Could you review the otter box screen protectors? I have heard good things about them but can’t seem to find reviews on them.
Have you figured this out? I have kept the 1TB Natural Titanium iPhone 16 Pro Max sealed in the original box for a month now until finding a good case. The Clear/White Spigen Ultra Hybrid T is arriving today, hoping it works out. It's been at least 10 years since I've used a screen protector, but I’m clumsy so I’m thinking of getting one this time around. Did those two work out well together?
Arghhhh I wish I would’ve watched this yesterday! I just bought the bodyguardz one plus their individual lens protectors. I drop my phone like crazy and I just got a new 16 pro max. Sigh. Their lifetime warranty sold me, but I’d prefer not to need it.
I have that ESR Amorite and it has been horrible. Super easy to install but it’s had a terrible impact on the touch sensitivity of my phone. I’m in the process of trying to get a refund now
@@kshitijraina Nope, I'm still trying to get a refund. ESR is basically denying that their product causes touch sensitivity issues and is trying to push me into partial refund options or a replacement. They're basically asking me to try applying one of the other included protectors and if that doesn't work (which it hasn't), try the last. If the 2nd one works (which again, it hasn't) they'd refund me 30%, if the third works they'd offer 60% and none work they'd offer a replacement. Not really enjoying this process tbh
That's how it is, it makes you lose sensitivity on the screen, just like it was a problem of iOS 18 in 16 pro max, but it also influences the esr protector that makes it lose more sensitivity on the screen
I think with the ESR Armorite when you tried removing that bubble you might have shifted the screen protector a little down and hence why it was not sticking. im sure if it was aligned correctly it would stick fine and that bubble at the botom would be gone
Same thing as in a case. Hard cases are better because they are more durable than soft jiggly ones. Remember, we want to protect the case, not the phone. I wonder why they don’t use strong and durable metal plates in helmets and air bags. Dumb engineers maybe.
Small question! Especially for the FLOLAB PRO screen protector. Does the black bezel of the screen protector cut into the screen at all? I've seen some reviews on Amazon and such showing that it covers the Camera Control UI slightly/cuts into it slightly when using the new camera button
From a other video: So I asked Flolab about the border issue, and this is their response: "Hey there! We totally get it-Apple’s smaller bezel this year has made it challenging for everyone. The good news is, we already have the thinnest border at 0.8mm, which is better than most others on the market. Plus, we’re launching an even smaller bezel (0.7mm) in October, and a hot-bend glass version that will be even better! Stay tuned, and thanks for your support to everyone supporting us. We appreciate you!"
@@hagncolaI think it’s horse crap that they would sell it still knowing that it is flawed. Then they turn around and say they are making a better one and the. An even better one shortly after that. Great marketing

Here’s my comment without seeing the video. I have in my 16pro max and a glass screen protector since day one and it really does its job. It’s been through some drops and the phone always in my pocket and the protector has not a single scratch. The best thing is that I bought it at Temu for $6 a pack of 3 and 3 camera protector. Let me know which you buy. I find the esr to be horrible but don’t know high is a better alternate.
That's how it is, it makes you lose sensitivity on the screen, just like it was a problem of iOS 18 in 16 pro max, but it also influences the esr protector that makes it lose more sensitivity on the screen
@@vsChrisI know my comment is late. I had issue where the first one I applied had poor touch response but the 2nd was fine. your mileage may vary
been waiting for this
I think with the ESR Armorite when you tried removing that bubble you might have shifted the screen protector a little down and hence why it was not sticking. im sure if it was aligned correctly it would stick fine and that bubble at the botom would be gone
Im going flolab matte or ear, but I've never had a matte screen protector
Flolab matte seemed to be the best out of all.
Great video 🎉 cong…
Where did you get the wallpaper from please? With the pink blossom tree
Yes I want to know also. Have you found it?
He tells the best one at 2:30:27 fyi 😂❤
Where did you get that background from the into. I want to use it!!!!!
You need to put all score for comparison
Don't you want your screen protector to break as a way to absorb impact?
Same thing as in a case. Hard cases are better because they are more durable than soft jiggly ones. Remember, we want to protect the case, not the phone. I wonder why they don’t use strong and durable metal plates in helmets and air bags. Dumb engineers maybe.
Hi! Wanted to ask if you ever rate anti-reflection on glass and have any suggestions in that regard
Flolab one time pro looks nice without the rainbowing, but dang, $40 for a single screen protector?
Small question! Especially for the FLOLAB PRO screen protector. Does the black bezel of the screen protector cut into the screen at all? I've seen some reviews on Amazon and such showing that it covers the Camera Control UI slightly/cuts into it slightly when using the new camera button
From a other video:
So I asked Flolab about the border issue, and this is their response: "Hey there!
Great marketing
would be nice to see a Shellrus sapphire included in this test.
Where is Belkin? 😢
You should include a typing test the next time you do something like this as an additional test for touch responsiveness
+1 for this
Touch sensitivity is huge for me. I would like a short typing test too. Maybe horizontal and vertical?
Does ultraglass have a website where I can buy?
ultraglass is my faV 10/10
I love Torras quality but too expensive and I never use the 2nd protector lol. I wish they sell just a 1 unit version half price...
Not really expensive when you consider how much you spent on the phone, and you have a spare, which you will need one day.
@@hearmenow909 bro my phone is always laying down on my desktop haha. I work between 12-14h a day at home, so I'm not going anywhere xD That is why I feel it's expensive, because I won't use the second protector! I've been using these for 3 consecutive iPhones and none of them required to use the 2nd protector! That is why I wish there was a cheaper option with just 1 protector.
For me this is the best protector.. i will continue to see the whole video……..😮
Could you please share the link to the product? Thanks!
I dont understand, the ESR went all the way up to 8 ft on last years video but now it fell this low?
Might be using cheaper materials to save money? Different chemistry? Different thicknesses? 🤷♂️
@@HighTechCheck Must of spent more on the box design so had to cut back in other areas
how did you like the one time pro flolab clear, thats the one i ordered for my phone before even seeing this video. that esr for $6 is wild, but the rainbow is terrible on that one
