Sorry it's kinda grainy in the beginning, sun was hiding for a min there but it gets better throughout the video :)
Part 1: ua-cam.com/video/35aX-bAuc20/v-deo.html
tarantula kat can I be next kat
Hey Kat, it's lemongrass. Also make sure to wash off most if not all of the former substrate of the plant around the roots. Lemon grass is a haven for mites and larva/pupae because they offer such good coverage in their root structure and leaves.
Oh and I forgot I wanted to mention, if your going to start doing bioactive, Boston ferns and most ivy are very hardy plants that do well without a bunch of natural light. They also can stand the differentiation of moisture and humidity in between water cycles. Just wanted to spread my knowledge to you of plants and Ts. I love your videos. Been binge watching your videos during this lockdown and I have mega respect for you and your collection! If you ever come to any of the expos in Florida, look me up. Amanda Lynn on Facebook.
The 'grass' plant is Liriope, a decorative grass. They come also in variegated as well. Very easy to keep.
that enclosure on 1:30 is a dog food container! im pretty sure it’s from OXO and has a vaccum seal clicky lid thing.... *because i use it for my tarantula too*
i use it for my c. versicolor sling and it loves the whole setup. it has a web tunnel on top of my cork bark with some foilage lol. GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE, BLAKE!
At 11:00 you reacted to my L. Parahybana and thank you for the feedback ^_^ I'm always worried about either too dry or too damp in the enclosure so I usually pick random spots throughout the enclosure to moisten throughout each week. There is sort of a hide that's been completely covered by the T made with the branches and a few cork bark pieces glued to it, due to the birds eye view it's not viewable sorry 😅 Thanks so much for reacting to my enclosure I love your videos and am such a big fan ❤❤❤
6:54 trypophobia has left the chat
The little water dish’s that all us UK keepers have are from the spidershop.eu ❤️
Wow I love the enclosure at 7:23 😍
I don’t keep inverts, but I used to keep fish and currently have a snake; I love love love habitats (no matter what lives inside) that look like a little slice of nature in a box. Something about having a little piece of river bed or forest floor on display is so neat to me 😊
Daaaaang you need to try live setups!!! Even though the tarantulas don't care!!!! I would love to see you try out plants and stuff. For sure. Do that. Please
The third Socotra island blue baboon tarantula can you know set up looks absolutely gorgeous I’m wondering is the giant ball with all the holes in it are actually holes that the Tarantulas can go into
Very nice video. Pretty sure that last m Balfouri communal set up belongs to a friend of mine called John wait, loverly man. Great breeder. He built the glass enclosure himself, and tour correct that ornament in the middle with all the holes is accessible (the openings are all open) one of the best balfouri set ups Iv seen for sure!
Love these longer vids Kat! That lip color is super cute on you btw!! Ohhh and just a reminder, I sent a vid of that Acanthoscurria geniculata display, that I did for a customer, to your insta.
Wow, this video is also really awesome & I appreciate all the different kinds of enclosures. Gives me lots of ideas for future enclosures. Thank you so much!!
Ah, yes. My favorite. D. diamenentiialala 😂😂
The communal tank reminded me of Flash Gordon had to put his arm in the wood wood beast..
I like how you edited this video better than the first. Also, thank you for taking time to make this for everyone asking you for advice! 💕
Cool! That's my enclosure at 6:30 :D Glad you liked it. The wood is just a cool looking natural piece of wood. I was going for the tree root sort of aesthetic so I cut it into place - picked it up because of that natural opening.
The enclosure houses 5x small Balfouri.
Love you T-Kat!!!!! 💕🙌😎
I love your shirt
That lipstick looks amazing on you!! Love your videos so much❤️
Love your videos Kat! You are one of the reasons I started owning and loving tarantulas 🕷️
i have been waiting for this video to come out since you uploaded the first one, finally, we can see more enclosures!
Imo it's really cool and fun to watch how others designs their enclosures 🙌
I love it when owners create a scene. Yeah spiders 🕷 don’t care 🤷♂️ but we pedestrians 🚶 do 🧐
Really liked this video, it's nice to see ideas for enclosures.
My D. diamantinensis is heavy webber too but her enclosure looks so cool!
😮 My enclosure is the still on the video before you click on it! Thanks Kat! 😀🥳
Also "Dirt Curtains, that sounds bad." 😂😂😂
I’m not going to lie, as soon as I saw the title I subscribed! Awesome video! 🕷🕸
Honestly if u want to get into bioactive Dave's little beasties channel would give u ideas with telling u how to make one. 1 rehousing video would give u an idea.
Hey Kat. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate you sharing your knowledge of this hobby. I’m looking for new enclosures but do not have a container store near me so I have been looking through their website. Unfortunately, I cannot find the ones you have. I appreciate any advice or direction you may have.
Thanks again for your videos and your work.
Had two hermit crabs once. They tore each other apart. 😭😭
I'm late to the video but had to comment on the M. Balfouri webbing. I just got a sling of one and it is really interesting to me that they build web tunnels with many different openings rather than just one or two.
Love that merch! I hope it's not limited time I really want to get one! Loved the video as well (:
You neeeeeddd to get a t blondi. It is by far the most rewarding tarrantula I have worked with. If not the most rewarding animal I have ever had in my collection. I got mine as a sling at repticon for $130, that's cheaper then a p metalica of the same size.
Interesting! Great examples and Enclosure ideas!
Hi Kat hope you had a great Thanksgiving on Thursday keep up the great work 💯
I would love to talk about my T's care with you someday!! You inspire me so deeply.
Yay thanks for talking about my stirmis enclosure (last one) :3 what a shame my P.Irminia enclosure wasn't here 😩😆❤️ but nice video and so many good ideas for lay outs :3
Omggg i miss it again 😭😭 please do a part 3😅 i alredy finished my brachypelma auratum realistic enclosure setup
It looks like a “spider plant”, lol…pun intended👍👍
im pretty sure the unknown poecilotheria was a smithi or miranda i'd say. And please do a third part :D i'd love to send you a pic of one of my enclosures
Arachnid showcase #2 is on the way. It'll arrive roughly Thursday. Same thing as before, screen name. Now you can name drop living impaired studios.
Great channel, found u through watching dark den
"I'm not sure what this is"
Me: * resists the urge to say "looks like my T vagans" *
(I don't even have a t vagans, lmao but it was a red and black spider and the urge to say that is too much)
Hi Kat I got 2 Lasiodora Parahybana slings. One is a inch and the other is half a inch
Somani's be like
✨cUp = mInE✨
I agree with you about the price of T stirmi. £100 is very expensive. I have an LP too. I put her in a largish enclosure at first. She made it seem small and she is super active. I moved her into something bigger and again something bigger, because she uses all the space I give her. I was surprised how clean everybody's LP enclosures look, because mine puts little trip wires all over the enclosure. And boy can she move when I accidentally disturb one😂 When I first got her I put in a dubia, she let it get away and it hid behind the background. She spent the next 2 weeks chewing it to pieces and got her roach in the end😂 So with my newest enclosure I put a piece of background in the corner for her to explore. She did and moved right in. She is definitely an interesting girl to watch😂
I've also had problems with Eco-Earth and similar substrates with molding. Someone recommended trying a natural organic potting soil mixed with a bit of playground sand. It's been doing alright so far.
Just make sure there's no added fertilizers a lot have osmocoat pellets
At 5:31 you called that chalcodes a seemani. just a disclaimer, I know you meant chalcodes is the dryer species. Seemani actually from my experience can go both ways, but ive found them to like the substrate a little moist. jmo though. Hi Kat! your awesome as always.
Cool video Kat 😉
my mom wanted too know what what brown recluse spider looks like.?
am i tripping? or am i the only one who deadass thinks at 10:13 thats Exotics Lairs hand XD
@15:06 yay made it again Nope doesn't harm the plants if anything it holds them in place :)
Petition for another ASMR!!! Preferably with just your voice 😏
Love the Stephen King comment (I’m a HUGE Stephen King fan 👍)
Everyone that's asked me for bday and Christmas ideas for me I've said spooder enclosures.
5:43..... I believe it was a bracypelma klassi. It is a bit of a rarer species so I don't blame you for not pegging it.
I think the carapace is too light colored to be a klaasi.
Oh. Don't forget the Simpsons intro when it arrives!
Weird question but do you have a link to your glasses 😂 I need them! x
I got them from America's Best lol
$16 for some merch? queen shit right there.
The one that says normantula was just a drawing or something
I thought it looked photo shopped!!!!
I use regular coco coir in my enclosure and have been able to grow live plants in it. They are pothos which grow super easy but i don’t see why it wouldn’t work for any plants that like to stay humid
concerned about the fishbowl second one. I know it's three years ago, but wonder what the lid was like, and couldn't see any cross ventilation, not bashing, just a bit concerned on that one.
The Pokie at 9:18 is called a P. regalis. At least, that's what it looks like from the picture.
EDIT: Actually, upon closer inspection, it could be a P. striata. But even with my glasses, my eyes aren't amazing. I'm just going by the colouration on the back and the legs.
Saw the t-shirt and mug on your merch page, but I would really love stickers for my shop toolbox. Any chance on future TK stickers? :)
yes, i wanna make more stuff in 2020 ^.^
anyone know where the acrylic enclosure at 5.30 can be found? looks really nice :) good job
my curly hair stays out in the open and stays near the corners or just sticks on the walks
Yep, same with my pick-toe. My pink-toe is just clinging to walls most of the time and I'm just like, "I mADe yOu a BEAuTiFul EnClOsEr, EnJoY mY wOrK!".
Dove haha, right?
Aphonopelma CHALCODES 5:31
oops yeah. nice catch haha
I would get that shirt, but I thinks it looks better on you.
Get a Chilobrachys girl😏
ehh lol
i want to know all about 3:33
cross ventilation, lid on the top
is that glass? it looks aswsome
Hi Kat are we doing another one part 3 soon? I’d love to send you mine!,
Let me know when you do another kattttttt I’ll submit ❤️
I will make a bed prop for my aphonopelma chalcodes so she can be the monster under the bed!
You should look at exotics lair UA-cam channel you would like him he got soo many spiders btw I’m new 😊
nice! also, does anyone have tips for c. meriodonalis? cause im gonna get one pretty soon so... any tips?
also, 18:24 it looks like a chilobrachys fimbriatus, not that sure though
Yay🖤🕷
I'm just not the type to get very excited about enclosures. That being said, I did like the first M Balfouri setup and the first P Formosa one. I found the GBB mentions depressing because I had a GBB sling come in DOA recently. My curly hair spends a lot of time in its hide, so your privacy comment rings true for me. Thanks.

I want to use an exo terra for my arboreal tarantula, but I heard that they can get their claws stuck in the wire mesh...
Sophie Sartain ...they have claws? 😨
@@katelillo1932 yep! On their cute little feet 🥰
Sophie Sartain I since have gotten a different enclosure but in the old one, I popped out the mesh and we covered it with acrylic with holes drilled in just so I could feel safer. I recently bought one from Jamie’starantulas.com and I like it much better than my old tank and it needs no modifications, though my old tank wasn’t an exo terra so it wasn’t as nice.
@@shelbyoops218 thanks for the tip! I'll make sure to try that. Most of my enclosures are actually from jamies tarantulas, but I still want to put my exo terra to good use.
The balfouri communal is not acryllic its made out of glass. Most of terrariums in europe
are made out of glass and bioactive. In my oppinion its just way more appealing than these critter keepers out of plastic. They are milky and the top lid is annoying. Plants, real soil with springtails etc. It just looks way more beatiful, although maintenance needs more time. But your tarantulas will love it. You can make backgrounds and really make a real biotope for each tarantula.
💞🕷💞🕷
What do you think of Coyote Peterson's videos?
i only have spiders, can i also upload those?
you mean can you send me a pic of a spider enclosure for a future video instead of a tarantula? yess
12:10 What? 😆 Its a 360 🤣
I haven't touched our 360 since the PS4 came out hehehehe
tarantula playing 360 smart spoder
@@Kirbyrothhmm wonder what it's playin

Here for the Same reason but het maxima is not aviable (other Heteropoda sp. Labeld AS them are) and it would be Way too small....
6:54 Aren't there two T's in it?
Yeah. It's a communal.
👍💕👍
👏👏👏👏👏😂
Basic video like yeah
Kat: * Wears dark lipstick.*
Me: Is she becoming a goth?
I expected elitist rants... Was pleasantly surprised.
CaCO3 is not good
Most of the enclosures are bad...
how so?
Ganz normal Hauptsache viele Spinnen und alles in Plastik usw🙄 ich habs eben lieber naturnah.
Da bin ich ganz deiner Meinung
