Some cards will say “not from any specific player or event” check the back of the Dalvin Cook and see what it says. Wish you did more Topps cards and some of the relics with the authentication stickers to check those. Love the videos!
That’s why I don’t keep any jersey or other similar kind of cards because I think most of it’s a scam especially on non superstars. I only build base sets
Anyone can cut a piece of cloth from a shirt, stick it to a card that says "authentic" on it, and hope you'll buy it. For all we know some guy in marketing lost a sock that day.
You should rest the back of the cards most cards now say the patch/jersey/bat is not associated with any particular game or event. This means the player never touched or wore or used the item in the card. It’s more a manufactured item to just look better than just a picture of the player. Just make sure you read cause it will say game used if it is in the fine print on the back.
@ if nowhere on the card does it say authentic game used jersey/bat/glove or any other type of gear then the companies have already said they are just plain jerseys not worn or touched by a player just a team jersey anyone can buy in a store, but an authentic jersey swatch not a cheap repo jersey swatch. The amount of cards all companies have put out they couldn’t get enough game worn stuff. Game used/worn now are only really in the super high end product, and it will specifically say on the back in small print game worn or used
The only signature that has value is the one you get from the celebrity in person. If it was signed for you it's of no value to me. It might be anybody's signature and it's not special.
I didn't even know you even had this other channel Bobby. Pleasant surprise. I know upper deck used to have a guarantee for patch cards and autographs. Sometimes it would say what games. I have lots of Jerry Rice ones. Some say right on them that they are not game used, that's generally the cheaper cards
I always had my doubt when they first dropped. Is there any fine print on anything in what defies "jersey" on the brands side? Besides that, I am honestly surprised it took this long to question its authentication.
Good video. Would be interesting to see what the backs of the cards say for each of these. Years ago, the manufacturers were very specific in their wording and the material was actually game used by the player pictured on the front of the card. In the last few years, the manufacturers use wording that is purposely vague to deceive collectors into believing the material is game used. It's pretty commonplace nowadays.
@@PackAddictCards No, just thought it appropriate that this scam deals with clothing that 'emperors' are not wearing, yet the companies are arrogantly putting it out there, and that all is well and keep buying our product.
They for sure are doing this. As far as the out of 25 stuff or whatever. It's a combination of the jersey, with the coloring of the border, and yes the stamp. But the biggest thing is if it says 1 of 1. You literally have the only one in that colorway, or pattern, with said jersey or auto. Hope that made sense 😂 I also found out from a young NBA player that most players don't sign the autographs themselves. They have people that do it for them. For instance, Luka Doncic for the first couple seasons had his mom signing his auto on the stickers. You can see the difference on them now.
Great video and topic! I have been concerned that Jersey cards are really what they say they are especially when it comes to older players from 60’s 70’s 80’s. Is that really a piece of the Jersey from that time period.
it never says on the card its the players jersey. back in the early 2000s upper deck used to have a photo of the jersey used and tell you what season it was used. fleer also did this also luke hochevar is pronounced hoe-shaver XD
Hate to say it, but you sound like a Noob. Companies have guaranteed that the pieces used are from the player, and they have also serialized cards so that you can look up the game in which they were used. Around 2016 they started to release more products without a guarantee and without any documentation. In fact the back of the card usually states whether or not it's actually game used or actually from that player. Again most products these days carry no guarantee. You have to pay quite a bit more for the higher end products to get that.
How do we know you didn't SWAP the card? A video like this should be a continuous shot. Are you trying to ruin the card-collecting game? Hoping they would jump on toy collecting to save your toy company?😁✌️
@PackAddictCards Lol 3 different cameras? Even if you put 10 cameras is not gonna matter. Do you have any idea how many DIRECTOR CUTs you made in your video? 😁 Especially the card that you highlighted scam.(Devin green smith) look @ 12:11 “look we got em” then CUT!!!! “ give me “ devin green smith” SWATCH! hahahah
Do you have any of these and have you authenticated them!?
Still scammy because putting a white sticker on the back of a patch with the players name STILL doesn't prove it's from the actual player 🤷
Its gambling not collecting
You may be right. May be why I enjoy it

Thanks for watching!

Smart
Sports memorabilia dealers have been scamming collector for decades now. Movie memorabilia too far as autographs
You’re right

Again, you are spot on! Keep it up
Thanks, will do!

That’s interesting. Why even do it
I definitely believe it after the 100th video confirming that your patch might not match
Ok???
I always had my doubt when they first dropped. Is there any fine print on anything in what defies "jersey" on the brands side? Besides that, I am honestly surprised it took this long to question its authentication.
Well a lot of people are saying I’m late to the game on this
Test Leaf patchs please. Prove them to be scammers. Seems like they are the only ones with a legit stock.
So you want us to do another video on this?

When you say backs of cards? What are you looking for exactly
The emperor wears no clothes.
Are you trolling?

Ah, I see! And yes.

I’m going to have to ask my producer to tell me who that is haha. I don’t follow NBA

Very true!
The only jersey card I got out of a pack was for Michael Jordan in the late 90’s. It was worth $100 at the time.
Oh yea? Still have it?
it never says on the card its the players jersey. back in the early 2000s upper deck used to have a photo of the jersey used and tell you what season it was used. fleer also did this

Hmm
why bother writing the player names on the backs if they arent actually matchung them. extra effort just to show they arent genuine?
It’s a good question
Stick to older cards that hold value 😉✌🏽
Good call!
Don't buy any of these cards of this generation easy fix
Ha
lying to the customers! Im shocked!!!l...LOL
Me too! Right!?
why. they never say it is theirs. dumb.

I start every video saying I’m new to card collecting
Love grifters card collecting channels. You’re about 2 m0nths late on this one. Stick to the toys.
