- Clay Gravesande of "Love Is Blind" season 6 speaks with JusNik about his experience on the show. He also spoke about the amount of backlash he received since the now infamous wedding scene that has gone viral on social media.
Gravesande says it's been tough to navigate through the lens of being watched by the world after being a normal guy with a business. He believes that the reunion helped clear up some misconceptions about him and more.

Great interview!! The chemistry between AD and Clay jumped off the TV into your living room. When they laughed you found yourself laughing. I think these two need to shut off all technology and have a real sit down talk. I fell in love with them both and hope to see these two revisit. I think these two can accomplish some powerful things together.
His story on LIB was needed. I wish nothing but the best for Clay.

As someone who is always booked and busy and had a man who liked to “chill” , I understand clay . If your future goals don’t align then it doesn’t make sense to move forward.
Finances are very important, looking at some of the comments in other interviews tells me that a lot of people don’t value financial security in a long term relationship, smh

Clay, I'm also a Virgo and had to say no to a fiancé because I thought long and hard about life after the marriage and it was a no ! When you meet the right one your soul will know. So happy you're doing solution focused therapy. I'm also a therapist ( one of the 4.1% of Black therapist in the USA). You need to find the right fit. AD has her own healing to do.

The fact that the casting department reached out to him in his DMs is the first problem. They need to stop reaching out to people in they DMs and actually cast people who applied to the show and are willing/ready for marriage.
Sadly it’s been that way for a while. The only ones that actually applied for the show are Chelsea and Laura.
Often for these kind of shows, they don’t have a lot of men apply, so they resort to recruiting.

Lovely interview, JusNik! I know better than to ever watch a reality show and think I'm seeing all, or most, of the things that happen. We're actually missing most things. It's also highly edited. Every single one of us is flawed, so when you are seeing a one dimensional view of someone, let's be real, that's not the full story. Clay was the season's, "bad" guy, and the edit reflected that. Did he do everything right? No, but they chose not to show the moments that went against the narrative they wanted to push. I will always appreciate how open he was the whole time. As women, we want men to be open and honest with us, so when they are, it is then our responsibility to not ignore what they say. If you're passive in your own life, that's something you need to work on. As for spewing genuine hate to any of these people, that always reflects more on the person sending it than the subject of their hate. It's never that serious! Best of luck, and continued healing, to him!
When he said AD moved into his home the last two weeks, the show should have shown that. They made it seem like he wasnt around her that much and she was in the townhome alone. He also needs to interview with Jessie Woo and Little Black Book. The people hes been going to havent been asling the right questions
He’s a good talker but the part he’s missing is it’s how he did it. It’s not so much that he said no it how he played it. He’s tryna clean it up. But he was literally up there asking if he look like a husband , smiling at her etc then said no with a smile on his face. He’s wild lol. Super diabolical.
@dswannbeautyartist. I’m not going to swear that I know what was going on in Clay’s head. However I totally understand his mixed up thinking process….lol. In A.D he found a woman whose professional life ( real estate) closely aligned with his goals and plans. He said he fell in love with her. Wanted to proceed to marriage, but we all heard his hesitancy. He was fully transparent. A.D thought she could carry him, until he had caught up with her psychologically. She shouldn’t have even offered that to him. He wasn’t fully convinced, and he kept bringing it up to her. When she stated that she wouldn’t date him, if he said No at the altar, he tried to convince himself that he could say Yes at the altar, because he truly wanted marriage. However, he was nowhere near being ready for it. He did the best thing by saying No. if a person isn’t convinced in his mind, that they cannot fulfil the promise that marriage entails, then they shouldn’t proceed with it. In fact, I think he now knows that he shouldn’t have been on that Show. He is now in therapy.
@@valeriejohnson8771 I get that totally he should say no if he wasn’t ready but he knew that way before. Like I said it’s how he did it. He himself knows how he did it was wrong he even said so on the reunion. He’s tryna clean his image up on this tour he’s doing. As there are a lot of folks chiming in who haven’t seen the show.
In fairness to him all the previous seasons had couples who said no at the altar and there was no backlash. I think we all just loved the idea of him and AD so we were hurt about it.

To be Fair, this man told AD 10 million times though that he was not ready for marriage. And the fact that her and her mom tried to Force it and played LIB for him, in order to indirectly Force him to say YES????? WOW!! Poor Clay!
Remember he was approached by casing via DM and the mentioned he had never even watched LIB to even comprehend that "these people actually do really get married" #Hiswords
