- So I only recently found out about this song, and OMG I it fits him so well, so I just had to make this XD,
This might be the last Spamton video I make, at least for a while because the new fnaf game Is getting released in just a few days, and I’m already being pulled back
But I’m definitely will be coming back to this community 😁

you know, this is the first time I'm actually hearing Biggering, and I think I finally understand the hype now. Excellent animatic too btw, was surprised how well this song fit him!

Favortie part is how the soul turned into the strings that hold Kris up. LOVE IT SO MUCH. strings have always been my favortire way of symbolizing being a prisoner and being manipulated.

While the scene was good, I never understood why Kris was so traumatized by Spamton's fight, as, from their perspective, it didn't seem much different from everything else they've faced. That ending really helps capture why
I think it’s because Spamton was the only one that understood Kris’s situation.
Kris is controlled by the player, and Spamton seemed to be under the influence of some outside force too,
They both wanted freedom,
Seeing someone like them being driven to madness, and eventual death might have been pretty traumatic, and made them think where they could end up
@@rozdy3333 Plus there's the additional fact that when Spamton was freed of his strings he ended up dying which likely made Kris think that there was no way he would ever be free.
There's a video here on youtube titled The Desperation of Spamton G Spamton. It's a great analysis of him as a character and such, analyzing a lot of facets. At the end of the video there's a really good theoretical explanation of why this moment hit Kris so hard. The visuals for said video are a biiiiit cringe, but it's script is pretty good, and if you have a free 30 minutes or so I would recommend it.

Kris knew at that moment that Spamton knew
that THEY knew
that they were a "puppet" too.
Spamton's crazy & scary, but he uniquely understands what Kris is going through while they're controlled by us ("DO YOU WANNA BE A [Heart] ON A [Chain] YOUR WHOLE LIFE?!"). The lack of agency, the hope to be free & their true self.
Spamton is repelling in his dangerous tendencies & unpredictability... but alluring in his hope & effort to escape his fate, & knowing Kris's hardship in a way nobody else currently can.
So they became emotionally invested in the quest to free Spamton (evidence: giving him their name at his shop without a prompt from us OR Spamton, asking the Addisons if they knew Spamton if we interact with them with the LoadedDisk in our inventory, trying to put the disk in the mannequin that looks like Spamton if you haven't purchased it by then, etc), because maybe that will hold the key to how Kris themself can be free too! So they do their best despite Spamton becoming a horrifying monstrosity, bringing him back to lucidity when he realizes he's being helped. Becoming so full of hope & joy as the final strand is cut...
...Only for Spamton crumple to the ground, broken.
After reviving him by hooking him up to the wire-vines on the wall, they had to witness Spamton, who had gotten back up again & again after failure & failure & failure through his whole life, never giving up... well... now finally giving up. Resigned to his fate as an object (the Dealmaker or the Puppet Scarf) to be used. Once more having to trust others to control & use him, despite that always ending up in betrayal & abandonment. It's all Spamton could do now, broken in every sense of the word. All he can do is place all his hopes & dreams in Kris's hands.
Kris, who often has no say in what they'll do. They could be made to betray or abandon Spamton yet again. Or hurt their friends. Or kill everyone. Being dragged along, words put in their mouth, still a puppet for us to play with.
They witnessed what could be their own future. Their own failure. Hope for Spamton's freedom shattered along with the NEO body.
& with that, it probably feels like Kris's hope shattered as well...

"Biggering" doesn't just apply to greed. It applies to Wrath as well. When I yell and claw at the people who make me feel small it makes me feel "BIG". It can become a toxic bath that shrinks you until you feel so small that you lash out at EVERYTHING because you never feel BIG ENOUGH. You go from being a child yelling at your abusive father and become an abusive father who yells at your crying child because their crying only reminds you of how small you feel. And then you shrug it off, because of how BIG it makes you feel in the moment
The transition at 2:20 from 'looking at hand slowly shift to a more metallic, artificial look' to 'clawing self out of acid' is metal as hell and fits so perfectly with the lyrics
This song, captivates Spamton's downward spiral into madness, from a humble business man of darkner flesh and bones into a man turned robot in slaved by capitalism (similar to how the Once-ler went from big, to rock bottom). And Spamton is my favorite/boss fight and this video makes perfect sense.
Capitalism didn’t do this to him, desperation did. He refused to be happy with what he had, so he threw everything away for his success.

I really like how Spamton looks more humanoid in the beginning, and he gets more and more puppet-like as the video progresses showing not only how he's losing his humanity, but how he's losing control and getting deeper and deeper until he's too far gone to move without a string anymore. Really good stuff.

The whole segment with spamton neo was my favourite part , expressions were so on point and you have very nice neo design . I can't really put exactly all the things i like into words, just know you did splendid job!

At the end with NEO having Kris by the throat- it’s chilling with how real that is.
I see it both as a show of Spamton’s madness but also highlighting his DESPERATION. He’s trying so hard to reach his dream that he can’t afford to have a moment of humanity at the finish line!
“I don’t want to hear your CRYING!!” As he starts choking with both hands! Seeing the pain in someone just like him, the first person in ages to treat him with respect… for the first time he ALMOST doubts his willingness to do whatever it takes, but he won’t stop now- he CANT stop now! [HEAVEN] is right there

Hell you can't even tell it's a lorax song. the monologue is so seamlessly cut out and there's only one word at the very start that hints to it (Thneeds.) What we have been left with is just a powerful rock opera of greed and the need for BIGGERIN'

And it also shows just how good of a song Biggering is message-wise (we all know it's epic song-wise lmao), when its core message holds up even when you rip it out of the movie's context AND also cut out a whole part of the song that had more to say on the topic.

I've heard Biggering plenty of times, but for some reason, the lines "Who cares if some things are dying" and "I DON'T WANNA HEAR YOUR CRYING!" gave me chills when combined with your visuals. Bravo.
It’s especially chilling here because in the original context the line seems to be dismissive. He’s getting a complaint that his business is killing things and he doesn’t care and just wants you to stop telling him what to do.
Right here he is looking you in the eye and saying he is 100% willing to kill to get what he wants. And then doubling down on it and SCREAMING at you “Stop begging for mercy- JUST LET ME HAVE THIS!!”
He’s so close to [heaven] and he should be so happy but you’re trying to make him feel bad! If you’re really his friend you should know how much this means to him!

honestly if I can say anything about it, it's the last minute or two. Spampton NEO is so well animated, indescribably well. The determined yells along with the opra style "I WON'T STOP" ringing out from the backup singers just ties in more and more. The face on Kris when they're confused about his and only for them to be screaming from their strangulation. The face of spampton NEO through the whole scene. I just- I cannot use words. For words fail miserably at giving this work the justice it deserves. Shine on, ROZDY, fuckin shine on.

This is amazing! The facial expressions and the characters designs(especially neo for both) are absolutely beautiful and the choice of song is really accurate! The only thing I would change would to make it to where you don’t ever see kris’s eyes (or use them in a single frame looking very disturbed), and have a very strained expression instead of shock, maybe some sweat or tears for more emotion, since they don’t really have a lot of autonomy because we are controlling them, but is still really scared of spamton and what happened to him. Kris seldom changes their expression and with having it be a subtle but noticeable shift instead of the scared expression you went with, it can really have more impact. Otherwise, this animatic is really good and hope you continue making them!

This really does feel like a song for Spamton.
Honestly this is truly amazing art and animatic, especially how tragic Spamton's story is I really like how this conveys. Nicely done 👍
That ending really hits different too,
I love how the lyrics themselves are still the same, but the context changes so much when putting them throught Spamton's glasses. The original is about being on top of the world and destroying everyone else and even nature itself in an attemp to grow more, to get bigger. Spamton's case is different tho, he was at the top for a while but then was abandoned (or betrayed) causing his world to fall apart, so he gets obsessed with the idea of biggering, of expanding his economic power, yet he has none nowdays, just going behind it knowing damn well he already lost everything, having a dream he cannot realize; kinda like death of a salesman wierdly enough.
I like the idea of Tasque Manager being the one to yeet Spamton into the acid river, haven't seen that idea before.
Also his moments with Kris at the end were terrifying.
Love how Gaster is nowhere to be seen, making Spamton's fall a consequence of his own decisions.
Never realised how addicting this song has become for me.
Putting biggering to spamton sotry was a well let's say a well done job but even that isn't enought to express the joy it makes.Even though the creators abandoned adding biggering to Once-ler you made it perfect,well fitting in the story and the whole thing was mesmerizing with beautiful scenery and color palette.Your arstyle is sweet but sharp and the scenes are smooth to watch,really I enjoyed it to the bone.

Contrary to popular belief, Spamton isn't a Tumblr sexyman! Tumblr has generally been treating him very platonically. The general sentiment towards him is less "I wanna fuck him" and more "I wanna put him in a jar and shake him."

This fits so well in deltarune considering that all darkness are objects and even the lightworld people are nothing more then fictional characthers
the original song has the once-ler becoming more successful over the song and only losing all of his success at the end but this one feels like spamton’s success is already behind him and he’s just trying to convince himself that he’s still successful and I think that’s pretty cool
The transition from Spamton just being an addison to being a puppet… awesome animation. Loved every second of it.
God damn this was even better than I was expecting it to be when I clicked on it! The sequencing is so perfect, you fit his story into the music perfectly! When his numbers start going down, when he finds the dual-colored glasses and integrates into the city, that image of him painting the sky background to his shop, the burning in acid, all of it paired with the music was so powerful. And that ending too! Hurting Kris the way he did and then passing the glasses down to him, I loved it so much. This whole video was so inspiring!
I didn’t expect Biggering to fit so damn well, but wow, that was such a great choice.

honestly this animatic showed me really how different spamton is to kris. though i understand they have had similar experiences, both of them knowing that they are only puppets to some greater force, their attitudes to it are so different. kris understands spamton, they relate to him, and they probably are scared at the same time as relieved seeing someone having the same experiences. either way they are traumatised after seeing spamton neo. spamton, on the other hand, is more like the once-ler, who obviously is the voice of the original ‘biggering’. he is apathetic towards others in the same situation, and he only looks up to kris because of their soul. even if they are going through the same things as spamton, he doesn’t care because he thinks they are doing better than him, they have a soul. he thinks of kris as ‘some thing’, and he doesn’t want to ‘hear [them] crying’. in that way, they are different, and now they go through different paths. spamton wanted to immediately be at the top and he is still a helper, even to kris through the dealmakers. kris is in a way more patient than spamton, they bide their time. who knows where they’ll be by the end of chapter 7?

Also, I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched this, send help-
During the start I was thinking that Spam didn't look enough like a puppet, but after he got dunked in the acid is pretty perfect. Makes sense story wise, too. I love when people are able to make mechanical things look solid (though I'm not sure if that's the right word) and I've been trying to learn how to do it myself even though I can't quite figure it out. And the way his hand morphs at 2:20 is really cool.
I loved the part where Spamton gave all his money to charity and said "It's biggerin' time!" It really helped me to understand his character more.

THIS IS AMAZING!!! I love how you captured so many details of Spamton’s story that often get left out (esp him in the acid lake). It’s so expressive, you did so well
Well, the acid theory is just a theory. There's a LOT of evidence toward it, but likewise, it all could be interpreted differently, & the incident is never outright stated to have happened. (In the Japanese version, which Toby himself helped translate since he's become fluent in the language, Spamton screams about his eyes burning specifically, rather than the more general "IT BURNS!" etc that we got. Though in the English version, he also does mention his eyes burning (like DVDs at half price!) when gazing upon our SOUL.
I personally still find it VERY likely that he had SOME kind of unpleasant run-in with the acid, myself (Probably shrunk his legs, maybe melted off his skin so that's why he looks like a puppet, etc). But, it's still just a theory. A GAME THEORY! 😜
That whole section of him holding Kris as NEO was so good! I just imagine his puppet jaw unhinging itself as he screams at kris.

The eyes are so expressive throughout this whole thing, and its such a great way of showing how he changes as a person. From calm and peaceful to disappointment in his success to sleek and confident, to a slow transition to madness. And those eyes at the very end are SO fuckin intense. AGH such a great video

This is hands down my favorite piece of fan content for Spamton now. You chose the absolute perfect song to pair with his decent into madness and it was paired with both truly amazing art and an amazing animatic. Moments like him painting the shop background and him melting in the acid were really well done. My favorite was definitely when the heart shifted into the strings connected to Kris and them holding the glasses of Spamton. It was beautiful symbolism and really well done. You’ve done an amazing job on this and I hope you’re proud of it. Definitely earned a subscriber out of me.

I just realized: Spamton's dream was going to the light world from the beginning! He didn't draw the sky to the cyberworld on it's shop, he drew a badly drawn overworld sky! He somehow knew how the sky of the light world looked like, and wanted to be there!
Found this in my recommendations after a year when I first saw this forgotten masterpiece. Still sends chills to my spine.

This is so good I can't find the right words
What amuses me most is that both this song and Spamton have a similar history. This song is what was "How Bad Can I Be" initially and it has more heart to it. Then corporate medelling and marketing stepped in and stripped that all down, making it a shell of its former self with hints of what it used to be peaking through.

Oh my gosh, I thought I couldn't love and sympathize with spamton even more. This song is PERFECT for him. It literally is him. Started small and goes too big for him to handle and falls. Made the neo encounter more full of emotions! Fantastic work!!
