    On The Lawrence Welk Show, every performer would smile. Their professionlism was unmatched. Their ability to play their chosen instrument was perfection.

    Both Lawrence Welk and his musicians threw off a certain American vibe: innocent, professional, clean, etc. that can’t be matched today. No “look at me” type musicians. Timeless and classic.

      Where did this "innocence" idea come from? These people just beat Fascism in WWII. They were far from innocent, they had just defended freedom and were taking in the best life had to offer.

    My mom and dad would settle in with us kids sitting around the zenith black/ white TV and watch Launch will Launch Welk Show. I really enjoy watching and listening to the music. He had some great singers and skits on his TV show. That was television in its prime. Unfortunately you can't find good family entertainment like that today .

    The first time I saw. I'm glad to know that Neil LeVang was born on January 3rd, 1932. I was mesmerized by his playing and his smile. In 1961, my home in rural Japan did not have a TV. It is a great pleasure to be able to see reflection from back then in your videos. thank you very much.
