With a house full of big dogs I’ve only ever vacuumed my house with a shop vac 😂
🙋🏻♀️
Great haul, I love the old afghans :). ( it’s pronounced “Skayn” ) tfs, Jen
How funny my mom always said it “skeen”. Good to know!
@@SwagVintageAZMine too. I think it’s a regional accent difference. 😊
I believe the little mailbox holds a role of stamps.
Brilliant!
That little glass with the balls is Candlewick by Imperial. In Maine wgere I have a booth, people still collect them. Some of the old Readers Digest books have the most beautiful endpapers. My dollhouse club made shallow room boxes out of them, replacing the pages with a foamcore box; they were awesome!
Love all this info!!!
I liked the multi colored afghan- more modern than the traditional old chevron patterns.
The London Bridge in Lake Havasu is authentic, including lampost that were made from cannons, post war use. Its definately a neat structure to admire. Often confused however, with the famous Tower Bridge, which is, of course, still standing in London. There have actually been three different London Bridges, as they have decayed and been replaced again, throughout history.
I hope to go someday!!
That afghan would make a cool coat/duster. On my bucket list to make or find.
Why did Goodwill have to write with a red wax pencil on those beautiful creamy lamps??
That waxy pencil is my nemesis!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE studio pottery. When *I* find it while thrifting. I don’t ever buy it from a reseller, because I know they most likely paid a couple bucks and then marked it up.
That’s the way to do it!
Fun video ❤ so is
Real Nifty Vintage
Thanks so much!!
Just found your channel. I am in Chandler. Enjoyed your video.
Hi neighbor! Thanks for watching!!
New subscriber! I have been to the London Bridge in Lake Havasu, it was very hot and dry. I love the afghans you found. I am a reseller from WV.
Oh yay! Thanks for subscribing! Hit and dry- that’s AZ for ya!
Very nice haul! I am in AZ as well and cannot believe the prices that GW is putting on furniture lately 😓 I have seen chairs for $349 and dressers for even more…. Ugh!
I have an upcoming video with outrageous price tags. So hit or miss!
Good shopping haul !! ❤
Thank you!!!!!
Fun shopping trip! Do u go to antique shows where George the Antique Nomad has a booth? I bet u do 😊
I haven’t! I’m so addicted to thrifting!!!
a roll of postage stamps in the little mailbox. They used to be sold in a roll anyway.
Ohhhhhh! I seee! Thats cute. I should have snagged it. Thanks!
My neighbor is clearing out her house after moving into a retirement home. The local auction place would not take her crocheted afghans, saying nobody wants them. Idiotic answer.
Conch shells sell like crazy in Florida
My daughter and I always “save” the crocheted afghans from thrift stores, too. All 3 were gorgeous but I cannot believe someone gave the first one to Goodwill! It’s a Catherine’s Wheel pattern and very hard to do. (I haven’t even attempted one, lol). Great haul! Thank you for taking us along.
Oh love to know the name of that stitch. So pretty!
I actually found a pic frame in Goodwill, popped in artwork, blue and white chinnoiserre and painted the mat blue.its stunning! The paint just melds into the mat.
Sounds gorgeous!
Sounds gorgeous!!
Hi! I just discovered your channel, and I really like it! Thanks. I'll be following you and watching your very interesting and educational (and fun) videos.
Thanks - so happy you are here!
The picture of the rock formations looks like Bryce Canyon in Utah. First time I’ve watched your channel-I love the afghans as well. You found some beautiful pieces.
Thank you so much! Happy you are here!
The 2024 Color is Peach
Hmmmmm interesting….
The little mail box holds a roll of stamps
So clever!!
🪵🐉2024 is 🍑 fuzz colour not red Nice afghan for the season
Autumn 🍁🍂 .

Great 🕯️ holder pick up
West Cost Revival reseller be 😊
No pick glass not great seller & not all older . The Nich Lady does well with her shell 🐚 & real Coral finds knows her customers will like as few like her religious finds .nice tag along to bad can't make the cedar chest for that price work .
Keep Rocking the good stuff Beautiful person 🤗🕊️🫶🐦

Oooooo thank you for all the commentary and for watching. Appreciate you!
I am at Merchants Square in Chandler. Small world
Hi neighbor! Gotta love the resale market in the valley!
Skein = skayn
There is no right way to say it. Some pronouns skeen , some skane. It's spelled skein though 😅
Great picks🎉🎉
Thank you!! 😁
The tray looks like a Florentine tray.
Interesting! I’ll have to get more familiar.
It's pronounced skayn
The Anthem goodwill is right behind my house. Their prices are so stupid lately. How does one get a 'booth partner'? I don't want to do it on my own!
My booth partner is a dear friend who loves thrifting vintage more than I do!!!
Maybe talk to dealers working in the mall you’re interested in. Try to find someone that’s style complements yours.
Just a thought.
That carnival glass bowl sells for stupid crazy prices where I am & is hard to find!
The colors from the 70’s is definitely making a come back. Who would have ever thought the orange and greens from that time would ever come back?! Everything old is new again.
As a 70's child I approve.
I love it!!!
I've noticed that and I can't stand it. I hated growing up with those colors and I hate to see them returning. Sooooo ugly.
Re: shop vac- the mini ones are awesome too. Much easier to move around & store, & are little workhorses.
THE BEST!!!
If you can't tell the diff between knitting and crocheting a good thing to do would be to look at a book like the Reader's Digest Guide to Needlework. You will learn much needed expertise. Btw, skein is pronounced Skane.
Great advice thank you!!
Did that guy just reach into your cart?
They were complimenting the afghans. Very friendly :)
I would have perked my cart away 😂 don't touch my stuff.
Italian tray maybe paper mache?
Ohhhhh! Yes maybe! I’ll take a closer look next time!
I enjoy watching thrifting videos and this is a good one but I wish you gave all prices or ensure that the price tag can be read. Good video though
Great feedback! I’ll focus on that!
Capize shell
Thanks!
😅😅😅😅oh k hang up you have ...grosss ...picky i woll keep looking thank u ❤
You missed the missoni afghan
Darn!
That is crochet.
Thanks!
Skein is pronounced slay r. Long “a” sound
Not 'skeen' but 'skane'.
Thanks!
Please listen to your recording.... it is SO sing song....never mind. I will just move away.
All afghans I saw you look at we crocheted. Well worth 12.00!
Aha good to know - thank you so much!!
@@SwagVintageAZthe one you picked up that was damaged was knitted. Agree all the ones you bought were definitely crochet.
I really liked the pink clear glass coffee mugs. Why did you pass on those. I’m sure you know better than I do but I was thinking they were vintage.
I think you are right! I’ll pick up some next time and see if they sell 😊
The plate at 9:21 I have a little dish that matches it like a custard dish and also a sugar bowl with lid I love that pattern
Oooooo! I’ll have to wind it back to see :)
First time viewer. Really like how you voice over instead of commenting as you go!
Thank you! I try to make my videos the way I prefer to watch thrifting videos - minimized background noise, voice over, no music!
Love watching your videos. Second afghan looks knitted. How do you wash those? The orange, brown and green one was awesome. Were those thumbprint glasses? Just guessing
Thanks for watching! I usually just do a gentle cycle wash, no soap, cold water, and then I let it dry in the sunshine!
Regarding the yarn; yarn skein is pronounced SKAYN, rhymes with rain. Not skeen. This is the first time I've watched one of your videos.
Cool thanks!
What kind of nerve to just reach in your cart. How rude. You handled it better than I would have. lol Great haul and video
Haha she was oohing and aahing so no threat at all!
4:57 beautiful chevron pattern afghan
I totally agree!
@@SwagVintageAZ the afghans you got are crocheted. So pretty!
Some wonderful set of hands worked so hard to make that beautiful afghan
Gorgeous yes! So happy to find it a good home ❤
Holy moly when we’re in AZ (we live in Michigan ) love to shop Brass Armadillo how fun ❤
Oh yay! Hope you can swing by our booth!
On the picture frame with the back broken off you could put little legs-risers on it and use it to put perfume bottles ect. on. The marble lamp is gourgous!!!
Great idea! Thank you!!
Hello I had just subscribed to your channel I’m so excited to find a reseller/UA-camr here in Arizona and to see you visit the same thrift stores as I do. Maybe one day I will run into you at one of the stores.😊
Fingers crossed!!! Thanks for watching!!
I love the cedar chest. I can’t believe you picked it up for $14?
Such a lucky find!
Clear glass with balls on the feet is called Boopie Glass The iced tea glass is more valuble
Good to know!
Very glad you identified the glass 🥰
Nice long episode! Thanks for taking us along. You're doing well with your channel. 👍
Thank you so much! I love making these videos!!
