Part of me feels sorry for Alex in story 3. He obviously comes from a broken home and never really learned how to act or be around people. That doesn’t justify him breaking into the storyteller’s house, but he sounds like someone that just wanted friends to make up for the lack of love and companionship he wasn’t getting at home. Hope Alex was able to move past his bad childhood, or at the very least stop breaking into houses.

I agree, I feel sorry for the Alex kid too. I imagine he was also a bit neglected in means of parenting ("Take the game and don't bother me" kind of way) and on setting and respecting boundaries and was dying to have some friends.

The last story about Alex was much more sad than terrifying. How the parents had made Alex seem deranged and lonely, and living in a household that is inhumane. All he wanted was to be free and able to hang out

It was really sad, and it was particularly cruel that they would bike past Alex's house and the comments they made about his gross house. There is definitely a scale of parenting going on in this video, the parents in the first story being embarrassed but honwst about how they left their child unprotected and the last one where they did everything to seek compensation once they realized how their child was threatened.

@@samwarren6008 See, this is why I think they should've gotten official help... like, if there's a domestic altercation going on at Alex's residence, then those people being on CPS's radar could lead to a better life for him one way or another. Those parents took care of their child which is more than some do and is to be commended, but--they didn't take care of the community or help a troubled kid outside their household. That's unfortunate.

If couples aren’t willing to show any form of love to their own children they chose to have, then they got no business raising any kids, let alone being married. You can feel bad to a point. However, when you break into someone's house, what do you think his intent was? And why is no one thinking of the kid this happened to? Having some strung-out kid breaking into his room in the middle of the night. That Alex may have killed that kid because he go rejected. And coming from someone who's been abused and neglected, I would never do that to anyone. So I kinda wish that people would stop making excuses for Alex. It wasn't the fault of the poster, and Alex had no right to do what he did.

I mean, I don't blame the OP for not having the skills necessary to deal with this situation. But it's just so disheartening how mean and exclusionary kids can be to someone they deem weird. Alex obviously had issues, maybe even trouble with social cues. I'm more angry at the fact that OP is obviously old enough to know better now and is exploiting that whole situation as a scary story and making Alex a child into a "potential murderer". Yes, OP can be scared, and this is their experience. But in the broader sense he rejected and abandoned Alex and joined other children who make fun of Alex and his home. The real scary story here is for poor or neglected children who try to make friends. (OP's Trauma is completely valid. But so is Alex's situation.) So saddening.

While I do feel bad about Alex and his circumstances in the last story, I think too many people are failing to acknowledge how terrified and potentially traumatized the storyteller was. An obsessive kid breaking into your room is scary enough, but given that Alex was older and also clearly living in a dysfunctional and potentially abusive household, he may have been dangerous as well. I will always have empathy for anyone who suffers through abuse but at the same time we have to recognize that unfortunately and tragically, the abused person can become dangerous themselves.

All great tales, thanks MR. NIGHTMARE!
Story 1 - The parents /were/ morons. And that kid was very, very lucky.
Story 2 - Buddy was real, though not his real name and that toy was a signal to come play (with a pervert or weirdo, prob perv do to the weird name)…didn’t you ask your brother about this when he got older?? Also, again, parents did not do their due diligence.
Story 3 - Having your boundaries violated is always disturbing, but I’m impressed that many can recognize that Alex was lonely and in a lot of pain due to his homelife. Frightening for OP, but lashing out like that makes sense at such ages - if only it meant he’d get the help that he desperately needs.

She called me her best friend, we hung out all the time, then suddenly she didn’t want to hang out much anymore. On surface level, it does come off as creepy and disturbing encounter, that being said the kid clearly was raised in an abusive household, maybe abused and neglected which attributed to his bizarre behavior. He went too far I understand but OP formed a tunnel vision about him from the get-go. It's tacky how OP looked down on Alex from the very beginning given he lived in a shabby house and he had no friends. Poor kid was socially awkward and understandably so! The Alex story is extremely relatable to me, but in a less violent way.
My neighbor is an old couple who are super sweet, but they have children and grandchildren who aren’t. It was about 2 years ago, I moved into my new house and about a month later was introduced to my neighbors grandchildren. I was very polite and they offered to have me over. Long story short they did this almost daily and it got to the point where it wasn’t even fun going over there. Some days I’d tell my mom to say I wasn’t home. I felt really bad for them because it wasn’t their fault. I also had neighbors who neighbored them who are a lot more “normal” and I am still friends with, but they told me that the girl liked me. She was 2 years younger than me on top of it. I felt super uncomfortable. Thank God they moved out of state. I hope they never return.

He was probably living in a neglectful home and saw the other kid as a means of getting real affection, hence why he was getting physically close to him and asked to sleep in his bed. I hope he eventually got the help he needed and is able to live a proper life now.

Aww, poor Alex. He had a really shitty home life, no friends, poor social skills, and felt rejected when OP didn't want to hang out with him anymore. Such a severe response makes it clear he suffered from either mental illness or developmental delays of some sort. Hopefully the kids life got better in time.

Story 1: I can't help but feel I heard this story before, a sense of Deja Vu. The tale of the older brother being hurt and the parents forgetting the lock the door rings familiar.
Story 2: So a demonic entity pretending to be some guy in a picture got upset at someone taking away a batman toy the little man adored and threw a grill and a tantrum. That's genuinely scary. Although next time, rebuke the spirit in Jesus name (James 2:19) instead of breaking your kid's favorite toy. Even if you break the fixation of a demon, it'll just go look for a new one, hence the attack on the grill. It's also why the infamous haunted doll Robert is contained instead of destroyed, it keeps the demon from roaming free.
Story 3: Very clearly, Alex's mom is disconnected from responsibility unless she has to do it or else. Alex probably saw OP as the one person who actually cared about him since his parents didn't seem to, but clearly Alex needs to learn that obsession is not healthy. I hope things got better for him once he got away from that house.

I would be careful telling people to go around rebuking spirits. I'm not necessarily saying demons don't exist but since all of special revelation has been revealed in the Bible, God has no need to interrupt the natural order by performing miracles anymore. Acts 19:11-20 depicts some Jewish brothers who tried and failed to exorcise a spirit (granted they were trying to capitalize on Paul's works for their own glory, but the point still stands). God has already defeated Satan and his demons, and nothing we do can change that.

That poor kid in the last story, Alex! He just wanted a bloody friend, mate. The poor kid has probably been disregarded & ignored by everyone around him his entire life, just cos he's from a broken home. Your description of his behaviour suggests he's never had a friend & has poor role models as parents & thus why he exhibited underdeveloped social skills & poor decision making. I just hope that he eventually made a friend that could see past his quirks & broken life so that his childhood wasn't completely marred by dejection until he grew into an adult blinded by clinical depression & pathological hatred. I hope he got a chance in life 🙏❤🙏

I got one of these.. a couple tried to kidnap me.
I’m in my driveway, 10 years old. I had just taken off the this plastic/metal frame that goes over your bike chain. This one was metal, jagged, and half rusted. I broke it as I was getting it off so I had a piece of it in my hand when a man in a car stopped and said he was looking for his dog. Wants to show me a picture so I get close to the car, When I do the guy driving grabbed my arm and the woman rushed to get out the passenger seat. I couldn’t shake his grip.. I’m thrashing and screaming ofc. The women was at like the hood of the car when I slashed the guys forearm arm with the piece of jagged metal in my hand. He almost left the women behind. Cops came, took the rusted metal with the guys blood on it… never heard anything else about it. I assume my parents could have but they never told me if they did. I can’t lie, the situation didn’t traumatize me like it really should have. I learned a lesson, but I couldn’t fathom what they wanted with me. At the time I was naive and just thought they were being assholes.

Bro the storyteller of the 3rd story sounds like a bigger psychopath than Alex himself. At the end he said "I'm scared of the person he grew up to be" while not realizing that he could have had some bearing on how he grew up. He could have been nicer and not tried to bale out of interactions with him to make Alex feel more appreciated and at home. Alex showed no actual signs of wanting to harm him. Sure the window smashing and general actions of trespassing aren't exactly justifiable but he knew that Alex wasn't raised in the best home based on the fact that his house was completely trashed and unkept. He was likely so desperate to escape his home that he saw it as his only option. In the end, all the author cared about was his image and not wanting to be seen hanging out with "the weird kid". Even writing the story as an adult he seemed to have no guilt for not hanging with him more nor sorrow for the home Alex grew up in. He only told the story in his own perspective without a care for Alex's and tried to paint Alex as the villain with no good inside.

Story 1: the kid was good to listen to the movement and for contacting his parents. Parents are very lucky the cops didn’t get CPS involved for leaving a 8 year old home alone at 2am.
Story 2: sounds like they got a ghost, I wonder what made these events suddenly stop.
Story 3: I kind of feel bad for Alex, his parents were definitely neglectful, with their house being all messy. He probably just wanted a friend and a way to get out and away from his parents/ house. I’m not saying doing the things he did was okay/ right, but I do slightly feel bad, he’s a kid. Again CPS needs to be involved in this situation for Alex.
